  I put t know exactly how old is the unit but it is possible to contact under the button don't work properly. As you know the unit should be opened and checked the mouse. I put t think you can do it yourself because it is a complex procedure and it must be done in good order.

  It is not easy to say what the problem is here. Maybe this kind of behavior is the result of defective material.

  Maybe you should check the configuration of the touchpad buttons.
  In Control Panel-> mouse-> device settings, you will find the various parameters for touchpad.
  Check this there should be a configuration option for a touchpad buttons too.

  You can also try reinstalling the driver for the touchpad that is perhaps just a software problem

• Satellite C50-A-157 - cannot use the touchpad without maintaining the left button

  I know very little on my Satellite C50-A-157. Run on Windows 8. I'm main user/admin and all of a sudden I am unable to move the cursor of the mouse... only average, it seems, I beg, if I hold the botton left hand (at the bottom of the mouse pad) at the same time, it moves.

  The left button does NOT have the 'click (default)'.
  The left button is actually simulating the right wheel "tilt".
  What I assigned to the right tilt wheel will be interpreted by the left button.

  Choose the option titled "Application list".  Who should be the one you're looking for!

  (And just in case you don't know where to change the settings (although it seems you know), go to Options > keyboard/screen, and then scroll to the bottom to the left side convenience key and select list of applications it.)

  Two other ways to access the home screen application list is to press the button end call (red) to return to the home screen showing the wallpaper, then press once the screen or press the BB menu key.
