Rocket videos

I captured a youtube video using "pwn".

Then I converted the video in mpeg4 using "any video converter".

I connected the "rocket" and drag the converted video to the synchronization of rocket box.

He has not transferred.

What I am doing wrong?

Use the Sansa Media Converter.  This will convert the video to the right format so that your rocket can play.

  • video files do not work on the rocket / battery life only half

I can't read music on my Sansa 4 GB rocket videos. I use Sansa media converter. I want to watch videos on it but I wait like 20 to 30 minutes just to appear in the menu and see just a black screen when I try to watch it. I think a new firmware update might help. Did someone herd all the rumors when a new will be available? I really like the "rocket", but I noticed that there are a lot of bugs in the programming.                                                                                                                                Also the battery life lasts about 12 hours (assumed to be 24 hours).  I have an extended through shack radio warranty is possible that they will be able to fix this?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Thank you for your time, Sansa65

Not sure of your video problem, but can only talk about music? Format (WMA, Ogg, FLAC, MP3)? Bitrate? Using MP3 at 128 Kbps should give you 24 hours. If you use FLAC or (my favorite) Oggs, or a higher rate, then you are going to consume more energy. If this is not the case and that you use 128 Kbps MP3s, then load the "rocket" completely up, play music on it until it dies (don't stop it, it stop automatically when the battery is too low), then load it completely upwards without interruption (the battery icon stops flashing and disappears from the Lightning). You should not discharge/recharge the battery as it more than twice. This should recalibrate the battery (such as, to synchronize the farm while she knows exactly how responsible it is). Sometimes, when a battery test it in the factory or use over a long period of time UN-calibrates the battery.

  • Last FW for view - if he stop video playback

I have an old vision that has not been updated. Approximately 2 years olds and the current FW is 01.02.09A. It will play videos MPEG4 converted with a 3rd party conversion program.

Here's the question: I have one of the "rocket" at the beginning, and I could take my view MicroSDHC card and put it in my rocket and watch the same MPEG4 videos on my rocket. Then, after a FW update, I lost the ability by playing on the "rocket" video. It now only will play the very inefficent and shit, space hogging videos converted with SMC. SMC or treat not MPEG2 files

Here's my concern: if I'm updating my review for the latest FW, it will also stop the non - SMC videos? I expressly refused to update due to be screwed on the "rocket".

Check the fuse forum there is probably a way to return to your previous firmware.

I know many of us view owners supposed to do that when one of the firmware updates borked the battery life.

  • Convering videos w/SMC without immediately load on the rocket

I am a very happy owner of a sansa FUZE 4 GB. I recently started using the video feature and my approach to its use was a little different from how others use it I think... I have a large number of microSD cards which I Exchange with different segments of my library stored on them. Since it sometimes takes hours to convert video in a format usable by my player, I'm looking for a way of convert videos I want to look in the future. That is to say, I want to convert a large number of videos and store them on my computer somewhere for easy loading/unloading on the "rocket". The problem is when my memory fills up in the rocket, the converter stops working (actually he did something worse-it continues to run and then fails to save the output converted due to errors of memory on the target drive.)

what I want to do is specify a save location for the converted video output - looks like a microSD card in my drive or a usb flash drive or a directory on the local HARD drive. This way I can use my downtime to convert videos in my spare time, then transfer them to the "rocket" just before leaving my house for easy viewing.

Is there a way to do this? Now the only solution I have is to fill my rocket, copy all of the videos on a different drive, free up all the space on my rocket and then start again, the disadvantage of this method, it's that I can convert only 4 GB of videos at once - but I have a terabyte of content I want finally to convert. Any ideas?

Sorry, I misunderstood. I think what you're asking for was available on the 1st version of the SMC. SanDisk does not SMC; It is assigned to a different company. I can't remember if version 2 had that capability or not, but it was written by a company other than 1. So not the problem with these 2 versions old is that they were "pre Fuze" and that he supported it.

We are now on the 3rd version of the SMC, developed after the introduction of the "rocket", and if it is the same as version 2 software company, they removed the crop photo feature. Looks like it is 1 step forward and 2 reverse.

The last word of SanDisk here (which was a while ago), it was that they hoped to eliminate the need for MSC in total via a firmware update. But that may or may never happen. Have you seen this thread? Or this one? I agree that it would be a much more practical way to do it, especially with a large collection of videos to convert videos on your hard drive first and then loading them on memory cards as needed or wanted.

I did as you; convert the player and/or a card first, then moving them to my hard drive (empty the card) for long term storage and repeating the procedure. It can be a pain.

  • Rocket not play videos stored on the memory card?

    Hi all!!!

I have a problem playing video with my new Sansa Fuze (2 GB model). Recently, I bought 4 gb Kingston Micro SD card for playback only. The video stored on the card are playable only for a few seconds before the hook of the player. The problem is persistent. When I transfer these videos on the player's memory, then they are played correctly and completely.

Can anyone give a solution for this problem?

He is a mismatch.   There is only one solution.   Back to the memory of Kingston and buy SanDisk memory.

  • Video playback when you turn the rocket...

    Hello

Once I have updated the firmware on my rocket yesterday (I forgot all about the update until yesterday) I started watching some South on Park and when I turned off my rocket while playing the video I went out... Now, when I came back I turned on my rocket and it freezes on me and I have to hold the switch when it goes off... I wan't to know what is the problem. Any suggestions to fix this?

BTW he never did until I updated the firmware

    I had the same problem...

Since you have the new FW installed you will need to back up all your media and format the drive again using the FORMAT command in the menu of settings on the "rocket". BTW - you will have to reformat to reset the database so that it accepts the new limit of 8 000 song. After reformat everything should work normally. I hope this helps!

  • Put videos on my rocket

Hello... I have problems with regular video Windows Media Player on my sansa fuze. I was wondering why it does this. I simply drag a video in my video file, but it never happens in my mp3 player... anyone know what format videos are on a sansa fuze?

    -Thank you

I just added a review of the "rocket" on Amazon, which included information about the transfer of videos.  So I'll just copy and paste what I wrote from there to here.

First of all videos must be in mp4 format so that the "rocket" be able to recognize them. In addition, you need to use the Sansa Media Converter (what IDE, you need to download) to transfer these files to the "rocket" before they will work. It's because the converter creates a metadata file, called file thm that gives further information of rocket that educated read on your rocket. So, you have in fact two files added to your rocket then adding videos, the video file (mp4) and the thm file. Your rocket must be plugged into your computer so that the Sansa Media Converter work. In addition, in order to add the mp4 videos in the converter, you must close any additional video playing software. In particular, I found that having BSplayer open all trying to add causes problems for the converter. So close all media players. Another note on the videos, there is third party software that allows you to convert various media formats to mp4 format. DVDVideoSoft Free Studio is such a free utility. You simply add you avi or wmv file (or other) in the utility by using the video iPod Converter function. Who will convert your video to mp4 format. From there the Sansa converter allows you to transfer the new mp4 for your rocket. If you have a fussy mp4 file which don't transfer to your rocket for a reason, just run it through the video to iPod Converter and use this new file mp4 for the transfer of your rocket. I've had it happen a few times, but it works. When the native memory on your rocket is full, you can always upload videos to your rocket through your memory card. No problem. Just use the Sansa converter as before. What will happen, is that since your native memory is full the converter will tell you that the process has failed. This is not quite true. He did not write the video on the native memory, but it has always generated the video file and thm. The thm file, if you had even a little space left in the native memory, is probably in the video folder of your native memory of rocket. Just go to this folder and do a cut and paste of thm native memory file to a folder on your memory card. The video is still on the hard drive of your computer. Go to users / [your user folder] /Documents/ Sansa Media Converter. Your video is located in the folder of the Sansa. Simply cut and paste this folder into the folder on your memory card where you put the thm file. Here, your video is now on your memory card, and your rocket he sees just as if it was on native memory. You can also cut and paste videos, music, etc. of native memory and put it on your memory card, if you want to make more room on the native memory.

With regard to freezing videos, IIRC it may have been a problem from the beginning when I was trying to have the converter to go directly from avi transfer the "rocket". I think it has to do with the converter tries to do two things instead of one. When you try to get both convert to mp4 and transfer during the "rocket", you end up with multiple problems. The converter software is really preferable to be used only as a means to transfer already converted files mp4 on the "rocket". Once I started using the process I have described above, the gel has completely disappeared. I got my rocket for months since the beginning of this year, and I did have a problem of freezing because I started to follow the process described above. Using this method also, transfer videos much faster when I tried to convert and transfer at the same time. I have not had a problem converting any video file whatever the size, resolution or frame rate since I use the process described above.

  • Need help to add videos to my rocket

I got it for Christmas. I know how to add all my songs and pictures, but I can't add videos to it. Whenever I add a video in the video folder, I look on my rocket and he said either "Format file not supported" or it just does not appear on my rocket. Any help? I know that the video format is MPEG-4, but I need help to really watch my videos!

You must use Sansa Media Converter. Even if its a MP4 you use MSC. It's the only way right now. The converter is avalible here is at the top of the page under the downloads section

  • Cannot delete the video not supported rocket

I was able to use MSC to convert a mpg file and transfer it to my rocket. But when I tried to watch it, I got an error message 'Unsupported Video' and the file closed.

How to remove the file? I can't use the submenu in playback mode button, because the file will not play and I can not find the file to delete in Windows Explorer.

    Help, please!

I found the solution at Sanas Fuze FAQ (http://www.sansa.com/support/sansa_fuze/faqs)

METHOD 2 - Remove music files using the computer:

-Connect your device to the computer.

-Select Open the device to view files using Windows Explorer on the initial connection.

-Locate the folder where your files are stored.

-Select and then delete the files.

I don't know why I couldn't see the file before, but it worked

  • I can't load videos on my rocket

I looked on my manual and it says click on the meia converter when it appears, but it never appears. I am a newbie

Visit the SCM Committee (http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board?board.id=smc) and download the software.

    Plug your rocket.

    Open the SMC.

Open the file of the video you want to convert.

Click on the button convert and wait.

Read the messages on the boards or search for 'video' or 'film' If you need help.

  • Video of rocket

Well, here's the deal. I have loaded Evan Almighty on my rocket using the Sansa Media Converter. Liked the film, and then... boom - locked. It remains frozen. I can stop it by holding the power button, but when I turn it on again, it is still blocked and I can't seem to synchronize or delete the movie cuz it says that the file is in use. Argh! And I hit my head on the closet this morning!

I am in agreement, that really hurt

  • Rocket can not load videos

    Try alternatives to this thread:

    http://forums.SanDisk.com/Sansa/board/message?board.ID=sansafuse&thread.ID=39960

BTW, .mp4 is an extension that can be a lot of different real formats. So, it's hard.

You can also try to change the USB mode of your rocket (Settings/System Settings/USB Mode).

  • Download videos on my rocket?

I recently bought a sansa fuze. I tried to download a WMV file to it with the Sansa Media Converter. He is always stuck at 49%. I did some research and discovered that you need to download Quicktime, the k - lite codec pack and directx (don't know what it was called, but positive I downloaded it). Someone has even provided links to downloads and said they succeeded. However, it would still have the same problems. Today, a day later, I tried to re-download the video with the Media Converter. A message appears about ffdshow. No matter what option I choose, the video will still download in the converter. I've updated the firmware today. How to download my video successfully? Help, please!

I've been in the situation that the MSC is stuck to the two or three times through intermediaries. I have figured out that SMC needs a lot of computer resources. So, whenever I can't make the conversion, I restart my machine and do the conversion again, no problem. Please do not use your computer to do other things when you perform the conversion.

  • 4K Canon EOS5D Mark iv and EOS1DX Mark II video

    Hello

I can't play or correctly modify videos 4K of the EOS - 1DX Mark ii on my Mac. The images are wiped out as if it were 5 fps.

I have OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 with 2.6 Ghz processor Intel Core i5, 16 GB of RAM, Intel Iris 1536 MB graphics card.

I usually play and edit 4 K Panasonic video with no problems.

Here, I tried the Canon 4 K MJPEG with Final Cut Pro X, Quicktime, VLC, video player Rocket and EOS Utility film without success.

The EOS - 1DX Mark ii as well as the EOS - 5 d Mark iv btw are not on cameras for Final Cut Pro X.

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT204203

I also tried to play videos 4K 1DX - EOS Mark II on 5 different Mac and it has always failed. I tried on a Windows PC, and it worked.

Apple support told me that Canon codec is missing to play videos 4 K 1DX - EOS Mark II.

    Can you confirm?

What can I do without losing the quality 4K

You can search this forum for the camera model, but I think that you will get a faster response by visiting the Canon support forums, if they exist. If there is no available for Quicktime codec, you go through a conversion software, upstream of FCPX. The camera came with a way to move the motionjpg files to a Macintosh? Should have.

The X II 1 d produces very nice video 4 K, but there's a catch: capture 4 K is limited to Motion JPEG. Motion JPEG is a relatively inefficient compression method, especially compared to the codecs of H.264 - based, such as Canon XF - STROKE (which is still on the compact Canon XC10). It requires broadband which produce large files. As you can see in the table below, 4 K/30 p of record runs nearly 500 Mbps and 4 K/60 p manages nearly 800 Mbps. By comparison, Sony a7S II captures 4 K/p 30 to 50-100 Mbps and the Panasonic GH4 is 100-200 Mbit/s.

But what about the 4 K?

The biggest upgrade in spec video camera is the addition of 4K film but, curiously, this can only be captured by using Motion JPEG format and the greater-than-16:9 DCI 4 K (4096 x 2160 pixel) aspect ratio. Two of these choices seem odd: all - I have H.264 compression, the camera uses to its 1080 images would be a more effective choice of codec and UHD 4K 16:9 flavor is better suited to certain applications.

However, with the capture of 4 K, the 1 d X II includes tools to capture 8.8MP frameworks of its 4 K files: how the decision to save each image as an individual JPEG is a bit more logical. Wedding shooters could even use this feature for document receptions in complete silence: despite the 1 D X II wins a continuous silent drive like the 5 d/R mode, it isn't all that silent.

The 1 d X II also won a headphone jack, which is important for the monitoring of noise levels during video recording.
