• Load the metadata and extract the metadata tasks EPMA hfm App not appearning

  I have deployemed an application of hfm in EPMA.
  But the options load metadata and extract metadata does not appear under load task and extracted.
  Version of EPMA is 9.3.1.3.
  Is this a limitation with this version of EPMA or I made a mistake during the installation.
  The user has all privileges for this app.
  
  Help, please.

  Once you create an application in EPMA these options are no longer available.

  They are only available for Classic applications.

  I haven't worked with security too, and now I have to set the users who will be linked to the cycle of process management. Is there a specific role for each phase? All phases are necessary?

  Hi Anna,.

  I think that the first and most important step in your task is to understand the information flows through your organization. Ask your customers/users how the flow of information would have been had they not HFM. Design a couple of cards and have your clients sign this process is very important in my experience.

  As soon as you understand what roles of company should deliver/review of information for the next role of business, then start designing HFM processes management.

  • The first level of process management is the road. At this level no user cannot import data except the administrator
  • The second level of process management is the first pass. At this level all users can enter data without restriction.
  • The third level of the management of the process is the levels of review. You have 10 levels of review by submission. However, a five-level review is enough for most organizations. Consider the most complex multilevel review process. My personal opinion is that the 4 levels of review are good enough for the majority of organizations. RL1, the inputer will enter data to the RL2, the Director of finance will review the data, RL3 hub/region Director will review the data and finally to RL4 users group will review the data.
  • Level 4 review I mentioned, can be the substitute of the next set of levels that is present, approve, and publish. The status "publish" will allow the entity to block which means that not even the administrator will not be able to change the data or calculate l‟entite.

  There are many combinations of how you can configure process management, so if you have any questions please let us know.

• HFM consolidation rules file to dynamically Group entities

  I can't encode the HFM-file rules right to consolidate the entity dimension dynamically.
  Basically, I want to be able to load the data, and without a right click on the grid and selecting 'consolidate', I want that peacebuilding have already occurred (to automate).

  HFM consolidation rules must be called intentionally is a person (by using the right-click menu), or a software process. For the latter, you can configure a workflow using the module of automation of task that loads a file and then performs the consolidation. As mentioned in this thread, you can also use FDM to load the file and then call a consolidation, but you must configure FDM for this. Certainly another option is to write your own batch process that would do this.

  In all cases, there is no "out of the box" features (apart from my comments above) within HFM which allows a given user load a data file and also to consolidate the hierarchies associated without intervention of the user.

• Server 2008R2 Task Manager will not run the task

  Hi all

  I have problems with automating a task on the server 2008R2, I have a limited user on my server which account is used to run a media server (Twonkymedia) and a home automation program called "Domoticz".

  Because I don't want the user to have access to the normal system resources, it always takes administrator privileges to run the program and access to the database, because I don't want to manually enter credentials of Directors whenever this user logs that I taught on the automation of this with Task Scheduler.

  I managed to create a task that toured to launch applications with admin credentialsb (simply by using the command runas in the path did not work) but once I connect and the still as the "limited" user task that has a shortcut placed in the startup folder does not start specific applications When I open the Task Manager to diagnose errors, she appears as running.

  Both users are given exclusive rights to start as a processing batch.

• Superior to know administration tasks?

  I am a beginner on vmWare with no formal training, and so far things seem to be going pretty well. Have implemented 3 ESXi 4.0 hosts and have vCenter Server running to handle them all in a cluster FT. Everything works as you would expect it, but now I'm really trying to dig in the CLI and expand my capabilities. We've only been live for a little over 2 weeks now.

  We are diligent enforcement of is not far from the clichés and I see a lot on the automation of tasks, etc., and maybe I am more thinking that with a small such environment - but what would you recommend as the top administrative tasks 10 or if I need to know to ensure some bad guys and as the still unknown preventable cause arise?

• HFM process control

  Hi all, I have v.11.1.2.1 HFM
  
  I tried to generate custom through the HFM database reports, but I need some help with a few tables, that I have not been able to find.
  
  While in the process control panel, each time I right-click a phase that the "History of process flow" option appears. If I choose what it a pop window with the historical records of this phase are displayed. I was wondering if it was possible to find that exact or tables so that I can manually build a query.

  I bet they are ID numbers that correspond to a level of process just as there are for different tasks of HFM identification numbers.

  I know that in order for me to come up with the associations of the name and the ID number of the task, I went in fact through ASP pages. For example, when you go to the review task page, there a drop down which shows all types of tasks. Guess what... If you look at the source code of this page, there is a list containing the names and identification numbers.

  I'd be willing to bet that you can do the same thing to determine the process ID / name of the associations.

  While I'm not a super pro on this product, I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night and I hope that this opinion is not send you on another goose hunt.

  I need to change the role assigned to a large number of users > 5000. I know that I can do this by using actions in bulk for example

  However, this translates into two actions per user and therefore double the time required to process each user.
  
  Someone has a method, workflow etc. that will allow me to change a user's role, but only one task.

  To get action by user, you can put the two changes on one line, i.e.:

  Command, User, Waveset.Roles, Waveset.Roles

• Previous tasks does not

  I've added a task as one previous task to another task. But the previous task is not going to get fired.
  
  My previous task is common to a number of other tasks, so I set a task as previous task of multiple tasks.

  Previous tasks

  This means that the original task should be completed before the next task is called. Otherwise, the next task remains in the waitState. So if both your tasks are get called during some invocation of process then this dependence is true, Add a role is a dependent task to Create User. On the other hand, if one of the task (even if its dependent) is going to get fired the dependence is not true (example updated name after the initial creation of the user).

• El Capitan of Apple just made my life A little more inefficient in 2 ways

  1.), removing the pinch to zoom in on the Finder icons

  2.) removal of the option "save under" of... EVERYTHING, at least as far as I can tell (outside my programs in MS Office, of course)... and its replacement by a function 'copy' terrible, messy.

  Apparently, someone over at Apple does not understand that some features, although apparently trivial, can play a large role, especially in repetitive tasks that many of us have to perform every day on our machines. I don't see the reason to delete a perfectly useful and effective feature.

Many of the automated internal jobs Oracle (for example statistics collection) are overlapping with other application work.  I'm confused that adequate controls are to change the on/off time for the maintenance for these jobs window.  Can I change the window, set_attribute, etc...

  Can someone tell me the proper commands to view and edit the start and stop time for the window/internal maintenance task?
