  • My CD/DVD drive no longer works after installing an update for Roxio Burn, (it was working perfectly until after the update).

Hi, my CD/DVD drive has stopped working after I installed an update for Roxio Burn. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, updating all windows and my device driver programs, but I just comes up with one, "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) ', warning. The DVD/CD player that I use is called TSST corp DVD +-RW TS - H653G

    Hello

Code 39 means that the driver is corrupted or missing.

Having too many CD/DVD programs can cause strange problems, especially if they're loading of parts of them.
Selves at the start because they will be competing for resources. This does not mean that this problem was caused by
These however is a possibility depending on which and how many you have installed.

Definitel check with the help of Roxio and their forums - you may need to uninstall Roxio to see if this
allows the reader to work (not re - install until the issue is resolved).

    -------------------------------------------------------

Follow these steps to remove corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

Start - type in the search box - find command top - RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

    Then run checkdisk (chkdsk).

    ==========================================================

    After the foregoing:

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and the
correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

I just received the following message from Roxio Burn after that I tried to import into Roxio the pix and clips to a DVD I did with Windows Live Movie Maker (Windows Live Essentials):

Roxio Burn burn failed to copy this disk (Extended error 0 x 80041024)

What does that mean? I am trying to extract the videos and photos that I recorded on a DVD RW using Windows Live Movie Maker, so that I can choose individual photos and videos to integrate different presentations.

  • Roxio photosuite 7 Platinum burn disc

I decided to install roxio photosuite 7 Platinum back on my computer to make a floor photo, I have to say that I have not used for years. The problem I found is when I try to burn to disc it just won't do - I was wondering service Pack3 would be the culprit that when I origanally purchased the software box said xp sp1 please help

    Thanks in advance

    Dear J,

Yes the burner works in other programs I checked Device Manager and roxio is listed on the recorder, the programe is about 7 or 8 years, well before the sp 2 and 3 I heard that some older programs are not compatible with these service packs - I was wondering if there was a way around this problem - I thought of right clicking on the icon Roxio and properies then in fashion compatibility - where you select to run the program in win 95 98 win 2000 win - the problem is it is windows xp version 2002 - I'm not sure of what would happen if I clicked on Win 2000.

to answer your other question I don't know if the pramme supports export to another program.

    Thanks for the detailed comments.

I just thought that if you can save or export your project
in a film... format as. WMV. AVI, or. MPG... that you
could view in Windows Media Player and to share
with others. Check the help files for Roxio for info on
How to save a movie to a folder on your hard drive.

It may be interesting to try to run the Roxio program in

  • Windows Media Player 12 will not play or burn music CDs!

Running Windows 7 Home Premium-Windows Media Player will play a DVD but will not play an audio CD, which begs the question: why it does not burn the CD using Roxio Burn (which just sits there doing nothing) just like WMP 12.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and suggestions in this forum, but nothing is done.  Microsoft has really any solution of constantly failing to player?  In addition, reinstalled my computer back to the State factory and Media Player STILL will NOT play or burn music CD.  Hello, Microsoft, I would rather download Media Player 11, which at least has worked, so tell me how to get that back.  Thank you.

    Are normally given CD detected?
If not, the problem is probably with the drive itself - CD and DVD is access differently if we wouldn't necessarily affect each other.

    Hello again,

I want to thank each and everyone of you for your input to try to help solve the problems I've had with links.

I am happy to report that I played my first round in nearly two weeks in this... Morning. The problem is a corrupted file, .l3. I have a little more 1 100 PoliAnis' and am not sure which one is, but I can play. I tried whenever I took one of the following folders on until I finally took the PolyAni folder:

WAVs, mops, Custom photos of players, sky, Clubs, PIN code files and finally, all but one of PolyAni files. That after taking all but one of the frequented out of the folder PolyAni links has started without giving me the error of attribution not valid.

Thanks again to you all for your help.

    Sincerely,

    Mike

  • New Dell Inspiron less than a year... DVD RW Optiarc AD-7560 s problems

I start having reading problems after almost 2 months of purchase, I was on a trip abroad. I figured out, I need a DVD/CD cleaner but could not find one so stop using the device until I receive a product cleaning.

In the meantime, I did a checkup before and after that showed an error with the blue beam if I remember correctly. When at home got the CD/cleaner and run several times there worked, used a second vacuum older that worked well as well first cleaner was an audio CD 5 titles trac 1 was well without error track 2 was from difficulty taking more time as if the unit is to try again and again to read and then 3 to 5 would go fast or sometimes that he was jumping to Track5 immediately indicating the cleaning process was done with success! The other cleaner was a DVD cleaner and would conduct a review on the quality sound and photo quality, the two went like a breeze, crushed the diagnostic pre-post that reported errors with DVD and no errors, also downloaded all updates recommended and installed, including a ROXIO creator who worked well and revealed details of the DVD I had reading problems of their.

Now I run the backup vista, as recommended by Dell and Microsoft it detected the need to back up my files for 3 DVD blank started the 1st DVD backup, no problem, the second time and had to re-run it invited to the 3rd DVD and this FAILURE as all of a sudden you have a windows error [ROXIO burner stopped working] is looking for a solution and the solution never found!

Since DVD so can not read or write, he keeps trying for ever, and some message [ROXIO...] shows I repair and uninstalled all Roxio update but still problems, suggestions?

PS You forgot to do you know system runs under Vista SP2

    Thank you

    Hello

You have had problems because the machine had 2 months and you have not done anything. Thank you you were on a trip abroad but, seriously, I would have been at Dell like a Cannonball. If the postdated cleaner shows a blue beam error then it is possible that the laser is not aligned and nothing you can do to fix this. DVD RW must look professional and that your machine is still under warranty then I would contact Dell.

  • T500 BIOS update v3.00 - 1.03 THAT bootable CDROM does not blink

The model is a CTO 2081 running Windows Vista SP1 x 64. Downloaded and burned to a CDROM image 6fuj30uc.iso. According to the instructions, I tried to install the hotfix as required by MS KB 937500 but it does not settle, saying that the update does not apply to this system. Even if the system is a T500 instead of a W500, I also upgraded the switchable graphics driver as mentioned in the Readme.

The BIOS boot options have the CD/DVD as first boot device. Any protection for the BIOS password has been deleted.

Start with the CDROM of the results in a black screen with a cursor blinking in the upper left. BIOS does not get flashed. Neither a menu appears to provide me with options to read the help or to Flash the BIOS.

BIOS remains to be 6FET56WW (2.02).

    rpstraus, welcome to the forum,

Please take a look at this thread, I hope that the strong solution will also solve your problem.

  • "Your power plan information is not available.

On my M57e, Windows 7 Professional, I am trying to adjust the power management settings.  I get the message error "your power plan information is not available.  After a visiting several sites help Windows 7, I'm still stuck.  I also have a Thinkpad T61p running Windows 7 and do not have this problem here.  It seems that Lenovo associated with this machine, even if Lenovo is promoting as compatible Windows 7 there is no power mgmt software.  The Lenovo Web site shows nothing to Mgmt.  BTW, a lot of users no Lenovo reported this problem, too.

Has anyone has met and conquered it?

OK, here is the solution for this problem in MY case (your mileage may vary):

Start msconfig.exe, and then, under Startup, clear the check box for Roxio Burn (do not in any case)... voila!

  • Reference Dell datasafe stops to make the recovery disk

    Hi people,

Trying to help my sister with her new studio laptop 1558. After having turned it on for the first time, he asked to do the recovery disk and so I him supplied with some DVDs. Said it takes 2 and the first disc was recorded, but then he gets to 73 percent for its verification process and just stops?

Had to force it quit and tried again and stops exactly the same place verification of 73%.

    Any ideas?

    See you soon

Secure Dell data to do this on a large number of machines. It doesn't matter if it's a laptop or desktop. It stops at 73% because it cannot check the engraving. If it cannot check it out, this means that it is not a good copy. I saw this on several machines. Roxio burn 1.0 has a conflict. burning with Windows program. Technical support is aware of the problem.

Contact tech support and tell them you want the free OS disk, because the software does not work well. . If you said no technical support or wants to charge you for the disk, come back here and let us know. I will go through a moderator, just as I had to do with my pc.

Try upgrading the bios. It allows in some cases, but not all.

    Thanks, Teddi

  • Problem installing Photoshop elements 11.

For the third time... I'm unable to install Photoshop elements 11.  There is a loop about Roxio Burn E:.  These files are in use... and need to update.  When I "click" the file in the dialog... is highligted. I click on continue... the same message appears.  There is a line.  How can I fix it?

    Thank you

    Nicholas S.

Nicholas, I recommend to review your log files to determine the exact problems you are facing.  Please see Troubleshooting installation using newspapers | Elements - http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-install-using-logs-elements.html for more information on how to locate and interpret log files.

You can also try to remove Roxio software you have installed if it is in conflict.  Please make sure that you always have good available installation files in the case where you need to reinstall the software at a later date.

  • FFDShow and CS4 capture questions

I got my CS4 software and the new computer now for around 4-5 months but have not used first pro, yet (it is not actually a part of my job!). I went to capture a few videos today to find out that the software was not recognizing my Sony DCR-TRV950 via FW400. Turned off and on again, the computer itself recognizes the camcorder and the camcorder recognizes that he connected WHAT DV.

A few violins more (turn on/off camera and noticing that when I do, it is recognized by the computer and the 'Digital video device' window pops up asking what I want to do with the detected device windows.) So, I know that the firewire cable is not defective.digital video device.JPG

I chose the "Edit and record videos using Adobe Premiere Pro" option and all kinda froze and a dialogue box that came said:

    "Compatibility ffdshow Manager:

Adobe Premiere Pro has tried to load ffdshow. This dialog box is displayed because the application is not listed in the ffdshow whitelist or blacklist. Your choice will be applied to the audio and video, if both are used.

-Do not use ffdshow. (just this once)
    -Do not use ffdshow. (always)
    -Use ffdshow. (just this once)
    -Use ffdshow. (always) »

I didn't know exactly what thinking then decided to choose that I wouldn't use ffdshow just a moment and the program froze. I have tried through the import function of media in the photo above (disk Roxio burning software) and Windows Movie maker and the same thing happens every time.

I tried once to "use ffdshow. (just this once) "and the program was still frozen.

Video editing is not essential to my function here, it is something that would benefit the work and make my life happier in all - and also means that we can actually use the software, we bought! Any help would be appreciated.

    System:

    XP Pro

    Version 2002, Service Pack 3

2 internal hard drives, C: = 130 gb, the other is 230 GB

I find that very good reading DVD PowerDVD from CyberLink software. In addition, MediaPlayer Classic HC (freeware) did a good job too. I have both, but PowerDVD is my go - to. We never really had them matched by-side.

You'll have much, much less questions, than with FFDShow.

For general information, you can do a search on this forum on "ffdshow" and read. If the list of threads is overwhelming, perhaps filter the people - Jeff Bellune, as he responded in great number. Another person to filter would hurt Millaard.

    Good luck

    Hunt

PS - you can also check your CODEC, like K-Lite is going to crush some commercial CODECS with the free "hacked". Don't worry if your utility CODEC issues warnings about problems with the Adobe MainConcept CODEC. Those are false positives, as Adobe hides those, this programs such as K-Lite cannot overwrite them. Unfortunately, the CODEC utilities also are not correctly, and you will get the display errors. It is ManiConcept to Adobe, you're OK.

  • Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burner

I bought roxio easy CD & DVD burning. and installed it on my laptop computer top! I couldn't find what I wanted to burn to DVD.  Then this EASY summer... YA RIGHT!  I don't see anything easy on the program, there, nobody knows! I mean "REALLY" know how to use this ROXIE... Cause I want to know what I do not?  again try to burn a DVD is a pain... relive the pain of someone...

Of course, this is not a Microsoft problem and must be addressed to Roxio. Maybe these guides help.

  • DVD - R can only burn with DirectCD - Roxio, Ultra ISO recognize CDburning only - why?

Added a Lite-on DVD - RW DH20A4P model (last year) to archive the files from my old system.  Old system: Mobo is FIC AD - 11w / Athlon XP 1800 (NOT overclocked, running 1.67 Ghz) 768 MB mem, 3 disks hard w/640 GB of storage, Win XP home.  House built in 2001, updated 6 times.  As much as I know can I stay completely up-to-date.

DVD only burn if formatted in DirectCD, and can add files to burn (rather clumsy, loses 600 MB + ability to format).  Ultra acknowledged the capacity DVD-burn ISO or Roxio 5.  Tried a few free programs, same result.  Tried stripping up to only 2 drives (C and DVD - no luck).  In addition, "my computer shows the DVD - RAM H drive and CD J drive, however there is no other CD player.  Capacity DVD opens and burner programs Raphael CD without problem but abort engraving showing "no dvd drive found" or words to that effect.

What keeps programs to recognize the DVD burner?  They all read capacity but can not burn a file assembled on it.  What could cause this?

    Hey Newton,

    ·         The drive appears in Device Manager?

I suggest that you run the next Fixit tool and see if it helps.

Your CD or DVD drive cannot read or write media
