    Hi team, support

    Thank you.

As I've mentioned before, AVI is a container format when it comes to videos. The information you find in the paper is also also the decoder MPEG-4 format. I just tried an AVI file with MPEG-4 codec here, and it works very well. But if you try to play an AVI file with another codec such as: JPEG, RGB or Cinepak, they probably won't work because they aren't supported codecs.

You can always download a program on your computer that can check the information of your AVI file container. MediaInfo is an example of this program.

  • DVD Maker burn only video widescreen 4:3, regardless of the report parameter l / h

I use DVD Maker and you have imported a widescreen in avi format video.  No matter if I put the image 4:3 or 16:9 format DVD, it burns video part 4:3 anyway. The menu displays in 16:9, the preview plays in a 16:9 frame, menu burn in 16:9, but the video is burned in an image full screen complete with very large and skinny people!
The other parameters are NTSC and start in the menu.
What happened with a newer version of the beta version of Windows7 and now between professional.

Windows DVD Maker has a design aspect ration fault.

I created a DVD using opinion with 16 x 9 aspect ratio. When played on a DVD player connected to a 16 x 9 TV, it looks fine, but when played on a 4 x 3 TV, the video is wrinkled rather than Letterbox or cropped. Surprisingly, the DVD seems to substitute for TV or DVD settings. I created several DVDs more with different parameters and the results are always the same - test on 4 DVD players and two televisions. Then, I created a DVD with 16 x 9 and 4 x 3 content content. Not only were the 16 x 9 crushed on the set of 4 x 3, but video 4 x 3 has been extended across the 16 x 9! Yet once, either the TVs juggle parameters during the process of creating or viewing options or four DVD players has changed the results. In all cases content was stretched or crushed to fill the screen. The DVD created using Roxio Creator 9 (or similar software) with identical clips do NOT have this problem. The DVD resulting does NOT substitute devices that they are played on. I do not think that any new software should be less functional that many softwares for years, do you think?

Calogero suggestion that 'when deciding what image format to choose, consider the aspect ratio for the monitor or TV on which your slide show will be ironed' is absurd. Firstly, we are not talking slideshow - we could care less if the slides in the menu are the correct proportions - we don't talk video. Then, suppose you want to create a DVD to give to dozens or hundreds of friends and family for the holidays. You're supposed to find the type of TV each recipient? This is ridiculous. If I have 4 x 3 TV sets now but plan to get the big screen 6 months from now, you want me to redo each disc? Have you already bought or rented a DVD you have to tell them if you had a TV big screen, so they could decide what DVD to give you? Most importantly, determine what type of TV will be used does not change the fact that no amount of fiddling with the settings have an impact on this issue. The only choice you are using other software or use only 4 x 3 to be played on a 4 x 3 TV clips and clips of 16 x 9 to be played on a large tv screen.

  • Windows Update KB976902 causing problems with Roxio Creator

I am not able to burn video to a DVD-R after Windows Update KB976902 installation (using Roxio Creator 2011).  I can burn video on CD - R no problem. It was not a problem until I installed this update. I can't do a system restore, the restore point will not go back to the date that I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Contact the Roxio Support.

KB976902 is a prerequisite for Win7 SP1 update (expected soon). If KB976902 is not installed, SP1 will not be offered to the computer and you will be able to install it manually.

  • Impossible to import a clip in Windows Live movie maker or regular Windows movie maker avi video

    Original title: Director of windows

I can't import a clip avi video in windows movie maker direct or regular windows movie maker. Only the audio comes through. If I have the video edited and produced in other video software, such as cyberlinkthen the video and audio will come by for me to change. I am able to import it into windows movie maker. I use vista 64-bit. What should I do to make this work? Do I need a special codec? I use a hp pavilion p6140f computer

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

    1. This only happens with a particular file type?

This seems to be a codec problem. Some files supported by Windows movie maker again you will need to install a codec before you can use the files in Windows Movie Maker.

You can use your favorite search engine to download and install a non-Microsoft video editing software to convert the file into a format supported by Windows Movie Maker

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • T500 Vista: Roxio Creator) 1 not installed, missing since 2) C:\SWTOOLS\APPS and recovery) 3?

Do a clean install of Vista 64 on a separate hard drive to upgrade my T500 Vista 32 following Lenovo's own installation instructions here. Having correctly installed and updated all the drivers and now starting to install applications from the C:\SWTOOLS\APPS directory.

I discovered that, although the Roxio Creator and MyDVD are installed on my Vista 32 preload factory, the Roxio Creator CBED subdirectory is missing in C:\SWTOOLS\APPS (all applications are there including WinDVD).  I checked on my backups as soon as possible once I unpacked the T500 in December and am fairly certain that it was never a subdirectory of DEC there. There are also a couple of previous forum discussions indicating that I am not the only one with a missing directory DEC.

So I used my Vista 32 recovery disks to create (once again on a separate disk) Vista 32 factory settings system restore. On this system, I find that Roxio Creator is not installed, but for example WinDVD is installed. In addition to the system generated by the recovery disks all the C:\SWTOOLS\APPS directory is missing!

Then, I checked my T42 I reset to factory settings with its recovery discs and all of the C:\IBMTOOLS\APPS directory as it was then called present.

So what happens here, a Lenovo has changed its policy regarding the directory C:\SWTOOLS\APPS or is it a bug that it is absent from the factory settings system restore?

Can anyone confirm that if I the Badger Lenovo support by sending me to the new recovery disc for my system Vista T500 32 they would understand the C:\SWTOOLS\APPS directory?

If this isn't the case, any other ideas how I could get Roxio Creator installed on my Vista 64 system?

    Thank you erik.

Before you call Lenovo support Monday, I decided to do a more thorough search of the disk with Vista 32 system restored to the factory since the recovery discs settings, that I got burned.

And I found a directory apps much smaller that my factory preload C:\SWTOOLS\APPS. It is C:\Program Files\MLPS\APPS. But the success - it did not contain the directory of DEC. Since the Readme in this directory:

Easy Media Creator of Lenovo is in two parts:

MyDVD is installed as part of Easy Media Creator.

  • Roxio Creator Starter Version, part purchase Dell Win 7 (64) July 2011

We had our son a new computer desk Dell XPS 8300 last summer. As part of the purchase, Starter Version of Roxio Creator (12) was also provided.  It is only a standard user on his PC, so at times, I have the chance to play with your PC, especially updating security etc.. The game included the software above that I thought was pretty cool. I downloaded another copy of this software from Dell thinking I want to install the software on my HP desktop computer (also running Windows 7, 64), but I get an error message saying that the program cannot be installed on a Dell PC.

I paid for this program, as part of the package, and I should be able to use it on other PCs as well. Our son he never touched on his new Dell PC. Therefore, if installed on my HP PC, I'd still be the only user of this program. I have no trouble to remove from his PC, if that's what it takes to get up and running on my HP PC.

It is a way to solve this problem install question? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, you're all excited on a simple question that I had (how to defeat an installation problem) and where I felt that the purchase must have allowed me to use the product on something else other than a Dell PC. Yes, I understand that it is an OEM product. It still does not make a consumer very friendly purchase/product. For this, I blame Dell and Roxio. This is my position. The last time I checked, we are still allowed to have our own opinions without "shouting" to which is what you did with the large font size and highlight biz and citing and al.

FYI, back in 2001 when we bought a Gateway PC, we got an OEM product. Called MS Office XP. After having retired from the former PC Gateway and then bought (it now also retired) Dell, I managed to install this OEM software on this new Dell PC. Here for a product OEM not working do not on the other PC.

And no, I don't agree with your position but I'm not shouting. As I said, the case is open for you. Followed as much as you want. I got the answer to my question (asking a solution overcome the limitation of the install and apparently there is none). For me, the matter is now closed and resolved.

  • Roxio Creator OF 10.2 detects NO optical drive!

Hi, I received my portable Studio with Roxio Creator OF 10.2 pre-installed on it. However, I was not able to burn any disk up to the date that the program does not detect the optical drive (Optiarc DVD +-RW AD - 7640-S). After the loading of Roxio, it does display a message "No drive detected" at the bottom of the application window. It is running windows Vista Home Premium SP1. The optical drive works normally on all occasions however. I would be grateful if anyone can help.

  • Cause of Smartphones Blackberry Desktop 6.0 blackBerry Roxio Creator 2009 to become non-functional

    Dear RIM,

It seems that for your BB Desktop software to be as functional as we would both, you have integrated some components that cause my Roxio Creator 2009 Suite to become completely non-functional.

If I uninstall your software and repair the following Roxio, it works well again.

Reinstall your software breaks the suite Roxio once again, and a repair/reinstall of the suite so that your software is installed cannot be place that Roxio is most recognized as being installed properly or he sees components that prevent the installation happen.

I tried to uninstall BB Desktop 6, fix Roxio and then return to BB Desktop 5, but after the installation of BB Desktop 6 my ability to synchronize my device (contacts, calendar, Notepad, etc) fails systematically.

I wouldn't mind, except for the fact that my paid software is ineffective by your free software and the only potential ways that they coexist are for me to purchase and upgrade my Roxio suite.

I do not expect you to solve my situation, I don't think you can really, but rather I am you advise potential problems that you may want to inform other people who download the software which can have situations similar to mine.
