RPC Server error message when you to MSN

This error message has just begun. I use Windows XP Home edition. It doesn't happen when I use AOL.

Hello stillearning, welcome.

Can you give us the exact error message?

One thing you could try would be to check and ensure that the RPC service is running:

1. click on START
2. click on 'run '.
3 type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press enter
4. scroll down and look for the "procedure (RPC) remote call" service
5. right click and select 'start '.
6. once the service is started, right-click and select "Properties".
7. change the boot on "Automatic" option and click on 'Apply' at the bottom right
8 restart your computer

---
If this does not work
---

1. open Internet Explorer
2. click on tools > Internet Options on the upper right side
3. click on the "Advanced" at the top tab
4. click on "reset...". "at the bottom of the window
5. confirm that you want to reset Internet Explorer to the factory settings
6. restart your computer

    Service Pack 2 offered by Windows (automatic) update yet?

    Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 service Pack is not available for installation from Windows Update and automatic updates does not offer

    Cause
    This problem can occur for different reasons. However, the following reasons are the most common:

    • Already, you have the service pack installed and do not realize it.
    • You must install another update before you install the service pack.
    • You have not installed Service Pack 1 (SP1) and so you are not offered the option to install the Service Pack 2 (SP2). SP2 requires that you have installed SP1.
    • Components of the system that you must have to install the service pack are not installed on your computer.
    • You have a piece of hardware or software on your computer that is listed in the section "hardware and software which if present will result in Windows Update and automatic updates offers is not a service pack " article.
    • You have installed a preliminary version of a service pack, and it was not properly uninstalled before that you tried to install the final version of the service pack

    Hi sandyrb,

    1. What is the error message when you try to access the internet?
    2. You use Internet explorer to access the internet?
    3. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    4. What is the type of internet connection you use?
    5. You have security software installed on the computer?
    6. How do you know that the computer is connected to the internet?

    Method 1

    Check if the problem persists in mode safe mode with network mode and post back with the result.

    A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Method 2

    If the problem does not persist in the safe mode with network, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

    I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

    To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

    How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    Reset the computer to start as usual

    When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  • Why do I get an Error Message When you use "Embed" to access a file png (for an asset class)?

    I use Flash Builder and Starling to create a new project. I created the initial classes for Starling running. Everything works fine.

    However, I created a class of assets (that will manage all the assets of the project) and I get an error message when you reference the png file. This png will serve as the main screen for the project. See below:

    {

    Import starling.textures.Texture;

    public class active

    {

    [Embed (source = ' assets/screenMain_background.png']

    private static var MainScreen: Class;

    public static var MainScreenTexture:Texture;

    Public Shared function init (): void

    {

    MainScreenTexture = Texture.fromBitmap (new MainSreen());

    }

    }

    }

    I have the file in a folder called 'active' which is in the main project folder. Why I get this error?

    In the "Issues" tab it reads as follows:

    "Couldn't find Embed source" assets/screenMain_background.png"

    Capture1.PNG

    you have a path problem.

    Start by adding the current directory in your src directory.  If this fails, experiement.

    I have an Airport Express, which gives an unexpected error message when you try to connect to a router WEP (Verizon) existing iOS9.3.2

    It flashes orange, but can not be reconnected to the router or to the title of the Setup Assistant or Airport utility.  Is there a way to reconnect to WIFI or should I bite the bullet and connect via Cat5e and be done with it.  My VPN works much better without AirPort Express connected.

    Sorry, but there is no WEP settings AirPort Utility on the iPhone or iPad, or any Mac version of AirPort Utility which was used for the last 4 years or so.

    If you have an older Mac still running AirPort 5.x utility or a PC with the AirPort for Windows utility installed on the device, the WEP settings that could be used to get the Express to connect to a WEP network there.

    As you know, WEP has not been secured for a number of years, and there are any number of free utilities available on the Internet, which is crack a WEP network in a few seconds. Thus, all those who want to be on your network will not have problems to do very quickly.

    But it's your call.

For download, but read in the KB that: in XP, the vacuum cleaner will remove the malware, but doing so may trigger the File Protection Win with damages to my operating system.  the tool will attempt to repair the damage, but to rehabilitate prior to infection, that I need to insert the CD of Win. Another solution... ?  I also fear that this tool could settle into the routine Win Update and need guidance on the prevention of this facility, if possible, or what to do if it cannot be prevented.

    Hello

    ·         You have Microsoft Security Essentials on your computer?

    If you have windows installed on your computer security essentials, then you will not be able to install Windows defender. Windows Security Essentials has antispyware component installed.

    You get the error because you have installed MS Security Essentials, which has its own function to antimalware. You don't need or want to install Windows Defender, too. Leave MS Security Essentials installed and do not turn it off.

    Hello

    I have no sound through Windows Media Player and also a player from Youtube and BBCi.  I have the following error message, please notify :-)

    You met the C00D10D1 error message when you use Windows Media Player. The following information can help you resolve the problem.

    Codec is missing

    Windows Media Player cannot play the file (or can't play the part of the file either audio or video) because theMP3 - codec MPEG Layer III (55) is not installed on your computer.

    The missing codec may be available for download on the Internet. For more information about codecs, seeCodecs: frequently asked questions.

    Hello

    1. What is the file type or extension that you try to play?

    If you get a message stating that your computer is missing a codec, you are probably trying to play, burn, or sync a file that was compressed by using a codec that does not include Windows or the default player. You will need to download codecs.
