Running a script powershell in a workflow
Hi all
Everyone was able to integrate a simle powershell script from a workflow job. Try to get a custom powershell script to be run from a workflow. There are a few specific elements of application checks the script. I hope that I can plan this workflow at a time affecting the operation.
Has anyone seen any documentation on the development of workflows.
Thanks advance.

Planning and running my script powershell crashed Windows 7
Hi all
I created a powershell script that works perfectly when I run it using powershell. Just, it reads XML files and email some information on their part. But as soon as I have this schedule using the Windows Task Scheduler and run it, it blocks the windows. First of all, trying to open the Task Scheduler, after planning script, it give error, the Task Scheduler service is not available. Then I rebooted my system, and windows starts in recovery mode. I even tried windows recovery to a point recorded earlier, but also, that did not help. My BUSINESS team had to redeploy full Windows 7 on my system. I already tried this on two different systems, both with Windows 7 Professional and it crashes in the same way.
Please help me understand what I am doing wrong.
I don't know how to download my forum script, please let me know if any of you wish to have a look, and I'll send my code.
Thank you
Vittoz

How to run scripts powershell to Orchestrator
Hello
is it possible to run powershell Orchestrator-workflow scripts?
I got it only work with a powershell ssh server on another system (http://www.powershellinside.com/powershell/ssh/)
and Executive a ssh command inside the workflow.
Kind regards
Joerg
This can be done in the 4.0 update release 2 (which was released on June 10, 2010).
To do this, you will first need to modify the configuration of server vCO since issuing an operating system command is prohibited by default for security reasons. Please keep in mind that everything you do here are run with the credentials of the user running the process of vCO (default localSystem).
1. the file to edit is vmo.properties under the application-server/server/vmo/conf directory.
Add a line to the bottom
com VMware.js.allow - local-process = true
and save the config file.
The details of how to proceed is in the guide of the administrator under "Definition of system properties"-> "JavaScript access to the operating system commands Set.
2. create a new workflow and paste the following line in a box "that contains a script task.
command = new command ("cmd /c copy c:
Orchestrator
c: test.txt
Orchestrator
test1.txt');command = new command ("powershell.exe - order copy c:")
Orchestrator
c: test.txt
Orchestrator
test2.txt");Command.Execute (true);
3. Optional: If you want to have access to another part of the file system, please take a look at the "Set Server file system Access to the Workflows and JavaScript" section in the Administrator's Guide. The configuration file referenced in the guide is not there by default, so you have to create it.
Please keep in mind that which allows commands to be run on a server with a workflow has some security implications. Running PowerShell this way also means that:
-you are limited to running the PowerShell script without the ability to interact with your script to halfway through the script
-You can build the string to start the PowerShell script (like providing a virtual machine with VM.name), but the output of the PowerShell script would have to write to a file that you can then open and read with another stream of work (or action).
I hope this helps.

problem running script powershell bigbrother
Hello!
I'm trying to run a powershell script of big brother
but nothing works...
I added the script .ps1 to the external list restartted the client, without going
I made a batch file to run the script and added to the external list and not go also.
When I run either manually the script works... and my output file is written to the c:\BB\ext dir.
is there a way to get this race?
also when I run manually my file is picked up by the customer, but do not see the column appear on the web page.
Note that there are other external systems running and those working OK. (one is a vbcripts and one is a .exe)
I opened it and content
The file is encoded in unicode. BB is not like that. Download the script to write to a text file of pain.
... | Out-File -Encoding "UTF8" ...

Run the workflow once or twice manually first to confirm that you have the correct values for all entries

Run the script inside the virtual machine the user when the user connects or reconnects
Hello
is it possible to detect the user that the user has connected or reconnected to his office inside the virtual machine and run a script?
It is also possible within the VM user to determine if the user is connected and how long?
One way to do this is via the following powershell command, but this only works if the user is connected through PCoIP Protocol.
Get-WmiObject-class Win32_PerfRawData_TeradiciPerf_PCoIPSessionGeneralStatistics - SessionDurationSeconds property
Best regards
> it is possible to detect the user that the user has connected either reconnected to his office inside the virtual machine and run a script?
You can run scripts as user on login and reconnect, this has been a feature since 3.0. See running commands on the desktop view.
> It is possible inside the VM user to determine if the user is connected and how long?
I don't think that we expose, but you should be able to query Windows for the connection time, or you could write the last time to connect with a script (maybe that is the reason for your first question?).

Run a script once inside the BONES of the VM after VM is handed over to the failover site
Hi all
Inside all my VMs, I have a c:\foo.bat script.
I want to run this script once after that the virtual machine appears during a SRM launched DR test or DR event.
What is the most elegant way to achieve this? Looking for details...
Concerning
Alfar
Then, you can use VMware PowerCLI to do that.
It is called Invoke-VMScript cmdlet. It can be used to run the exe, batch file or powershell script inside the virtual machine. It requires no network connectivity, as it uses VMtools to run the script.

TypeError: try to run the script compilation and go on a contour
Above the error message appears when moving between images - back and forth. By clicking on the OK button removes the error message and there is no apparent problem. The window that appears refers to a JAVA Script Application (I guess that FIREFOX is the application?)
Check and tell if its working.

Hi guys!
I use TestStand to connect a bunch of data and save them as binary files. When the test is finished, I would like to start a matlab script. For the moment I do it manually, just open MatLab and change the path used by the script to find the particular set of binaries to test.
What I understand you can use MathScript with the basic package.
I requires nothing more of Matlab open / running a script in the background at a time given in the test. Could it be done by using a system call and just passing the path as a parameter to a LabView VI?
Any IDE for what is the best approach?
Thank you for your time!
Ah, I understand now. Yes, the basic edition doesn't have the Matlab script node. In this case, you can use Exec System to simply call the Matlab command line. Matlab documentation contains various switches to it.

How to run a script php on external server
Hello!
Here's my problem: I want to run a script php on a server by calling a simple url. Here is an example of a possible url: http://servername/dir/scriptname.php?var1=a&var2=2.
The return value is a html code.
I use CVI 2012 AND 3.5!
Hello!
Thank you very much! It's the way I'll do it!
But I have to call a different get command. Here's my way: Fmt (tlsend, "%s %s", "GET" ', http://servername/dir/scriptname.php?var1=a&var2=2 ');
The next problem is the response of the InetTelnetRead. She returns with-4 "system socket error". But the result of the php-script is tlread.
So my problem is almost solved!

Windows XP running startup scripts displays the taskbar?
Hi all
I have a newly installed Server 2003 domain.
I have also 2 machines that I have connected to the domain. One of them works very well (goes on the internet, readers of network etc.).
The other is does not work. It connects to the domain, reboot, then I log into the admin account. After that I did a gpupdate, and then restart the system.
The problem is, when the system starts up again, it seems to start to run startup scripts, then seems to automatically connect on a called user account $ media (Media is the name of the computer).
It displays the windows desktop and begins to run explorer.exe, with this user account (MEDIA$), with the start of the Running of scripts loading screen and does not get more.
(Both the Pc running Windows XP Professional SP3)
Any fix for that?

I get a message asking me to "stop running this script" when I go to Yahoo to check my mail. I never received that message before today and I used Yahoo so busy Explorer for years. I disable the filter XSS, but that did nothing. I ran Internet Explorer troubleshooting, but has nothing to do. How can I get rid of this message, because it prevents me from my mail or do anything on Yahoo?
