  • Battle of abnormal termination of the program 2142 (bf2142)

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Beta, I have had no problems running all my favorite games.  Once I've upgraded to Windows 7 Pro, I had some problems with games.  I'll stick to the subject and only discuss 2142.  After my Windows 7 Pro upgrade, I initially installed BF 2142 and new patches.  He played for a few days with no problems.  Then, I received the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error "abnormal termination of the program."  I get this right after the splash screen for the program ends.  This is not a consistent error.  Sometimes, the game will run for days and then suddenly, without any installation or known Exchange I got the error once.  I tried rebooting, uninstall and reinstall the game, change the resolution options specified in the icon and other things.  Not really interested in blame it on the BONE or the game.  I just want to play my game on the system I built with consistency.    Really hope someone can help.  Thank you in advance!

I suggest that you put your system in clean boot and see if the problem occurs.  With it being so random, it may be another program that is confilicting with BF2142.

    Hello

have you downloaded this CD? If so, I think that something is wrong in the download. Try to download again. It is also possible that you downloaded the correct version for your OS something like a version of Linux on a Windows operating system.

If it's a CD that you've got to Oracle, you must contact to get a new.

  • Abnormal termination of the program Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error

Whenever I try to install Rosetta Stone "Of the program Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error abnormal termination" is displayed. I tried Microsoft fix the thing but it does not work. Someone please help. I get the message when I download the program on the website of the Rosetta Stone. I can install it with the cd but when I run the program it does not come to the top and the compatibility mode will not work. The program is compatible with windows 7, but my computer says it is not.

A runtime error is a software or hardware problem that prevents a program to function properly. Runtime errors can occur if you are running two software programs that aren't compatible, if your computer has memory problems, or if the computer has been infected by malware.

Therefore, I suggest you to check if there are recent updates available for the program from the manufacturer's website.

Contact the xxxxxxxxx support for assistance on this issue.

This type of error can be caused if the Visual C++ library runtime components are missing or because of a third-party software.

    Follow the steps below:

    Method 1:
If the problem is caused by the lack of Visual C++ libraries, you can download and install the Runtime components of Visual C++ libraries from the link below:

This error can occur when the Microsoft .NET Framework installation on the computer is damaged or is missing.

Try it out below step to reinstall and repair installation of Microsoft .NET Framework on the computer, then check if you can install the software.

    (a) click the Start button, select Control Panel, click programs and then click on 'Turn Windows has or not.' If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    (b) search for Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1 uncheck, click OK and restart the computer.

    (c) after the reboot, open again "Turn Windows features on or off" and place a check next to Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1 and restart the computer.

    Step 2

If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you manually download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and 2008 Redistributable Package and check to see if you can install the software.

In programs and features, you do not show that you have installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable? If this is not the case, download the links here.

    Hi Hopson81,

Try to install the patch by starting the computer in selective startup mode (also known as a clean boot state).

Start your computer in a clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

For instructions, see How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 .

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Error - can not see the path of the file.

When I get the runtime at startup error, I don't see the destination of the file. It is very annoying that I can not see the program that gives me the problem.

    Hello

    ·         Did you the latest changes on the computer?

We must first identify to identify the program that is causing startup problems.

    Step 1:

Check if the problem persists in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Restart the computer to return to normal mode.

If the problem does not persist in safe mode, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

    Step 2:

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  • Side-By-Side errors on 99% of the programs... I need help!

Two nights ago, I turned off my computer and let it install the updates as she did. Windows update history lists as follows:

    Tool to remove malware Windows x 64-may 2009 (KB890830)
Update definition for Windows Defender - KB915597 (definition 1.57.1329.0)

Two of them were installed 5/14, I shut down the computer.

Yesterday, 5/15, I turned on the computer, and Lo and behold, something went horribly wrong. If I try to run one program other than Internet Explorer and Explorer (Windows Update included) basic stuff, I get this error:
    ------
    [Executable path]

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Check the log of events applications for more details.
    -----

I went to the section "Updates installed" programs and features in the control panel section so that I could roll back these patches and discovered that, apparently, no updates have been installed on 5/14, according to that.

Apparently, however, my google-fu is weak, and very little my research has turned up. Supposedly, there is a DLL error... but all the pages I found were limited to one or two programs - not all single program on the computer.

I managed to discover that WordPad is working also. Is the file that is broken, according to the application log,
    X86_microsoft. Windows.isolationautomation_6595b64144ccf1df_1.0.0.0_none_35d357a66c38ade4.manifest
in the C:\Windows\winsxs\ directory. It is supposed to be XML, and instead it's like the old BACK/start Windows INI files... so why windows is finding an XML error on line 0 of the file (or says the event viewer).

In particular, I'm under Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit... If someone out there happens to perform this same type of system and wants to look for this file and somehow get the content for me, I'd be very happy.

Success!  I'm so happy that I don't have to reinstall windows (and it would have been very difficult for me to choose to reinstall vista).

I had a devil of a time getting the permissions set so that I could write the file.  I had to change the permissions on the folder of manifests to allow administrators to write.  Then I had to change the permissions on the wrong file to allow administrators to change.  I chose to rename it with BAD in name rather than delete it.  This allowed me to copy the replacement file in the directory.  I also took possession of the directory and the file to be able to do it, but this may not have been necessary.

BTW, the only group that has the permission to write to this file is TrustedInstallers.  I guess that windows update shouldn't be in this group.

After my success I did a system restore point, but that has not helped before.  I also copy the folder of manifests to my backup drive.  All of the 71 046 files.  It takes some time.

  • I get an error of binding of the program trying to reopen the Windows Vista Games.

    From: Brian

When you try to open a standard game installed, IE solitaire, chess, mahjong, I get the message error "file doesn't have a program that are associated with...". "" Under turn Windows features on and outside ', I have uninstalled/reinstalled and still the same error message.  Under default programs, I don't get the options for games.  I can run the games of "all programs" and create shortcuts on the desktop and they work, however, some of my family members are struggling to do it this way. "  Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    From: Brian

Steve - very good suggestion.  You have to change the registry.  If you are not running an improved version of Vista, under Start, search, type regedit, and go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile. Click Edit, new, string value and name IsShortcut. Name should have a red ab at the front and is of type REG_SZ.

If this is an upgrade version, it is difficult to tell the location of the folder. Click on modify, search for, and then type in NeverShowExt and this is where the entry IsShortcut must be created.

After installation, restart and the shortcut arrows should be back and the links in the Games folder should work.
