RV016 replacement / upgrade

I have a RV016 router that I use as a gateway with the backup service providers. (including one with att, one with winstream)  I have 5 buildings linked by MPLS circuits for data and phone.  Works fine, however I need to add a different subnet to the system (192.168.110.1) (192.168.111.1) (192.168.112.1) (192.168.113.1) (192.168.114.1)

Someone at - it suggestions or recommendation as to what to do, or what camera I use?

Hi Don, the RV016 supports several feature subnet. If the goal is communication LAN, it must be adapted to the different LAN ip, you do not want to add.

Original title: connect/disconnect sounds in the background

I had to replace/upgrade to update my wifi router after purchase/adding a 'Smart' to my network TV and now have a noise to connect/disconnect running in the background, on something, every few minutes.  It does not affect the operation of my computer, but it is very annoying. Cut the old router market and connect and disconnect before replacement, but did not any noise so I don't think it is related to that.  I can't find any evidence of the old router on the computer anyway.  I hope you can help me!

  • Graphic/video card [REPLACEMENT / UPGRADE] on the desktop HP Pavilion - help

    I have the following:

    Desktop HP Pavilion Elite m9152p

Upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (updated 11/2009)

The video card seems to have gone out and tried the following:

    Operating system reinstallation

Uninstalled & drivers Reinstalled & restoration

Before attempts above, no changes had been made to software or hardware only led to the same result: the video seems to be fine, and then it crashes and hangs and doesn't eventually having a hard reboot how, the computer loads the integrated video/graphic card.

I need to buy a replacement video/graphics card, but I'm not sure what card I need to be aware of, or that my computer can handle as a replacement and maybe a possible upgrade (not necessary) - any help in this regard would be most appreciated.

    Thank you!

    I think it's a good choice.

The comments seem positive most of the time that the fan seems to be quiet.

I don't know if your previous card had HDMI.

When you install your new video card, it can disable your sound system because of the HDMI audio chip on the video card.

If you do not lose your integrated audio system, after you install the video drivers, reboot the machine, go into BIOS, find the onboard audio setting. It can be set to Auto or disabled. Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the configuration when you have made the change and again when you exit the BIOS.

Upon restart, you will have your on-board audio back.

    Impatience back on your part.

  • Options for replacement/upgrade my HP Mini 210-4022TU computer?

Given that my camera fell on the ground, no longer stock HDD start. My warranty has already expired, and I'm looking to replace, even better, upgrade my HARD drive and maybe the RAM too. Can anyone recommend a compatible device to the RAM and HARD drive? Thanks in advance!

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

It has a memory location and the maximum memory is 2 GB of DDR3 - 1066 on your Atom N2800 CPU. The specifications indicate that you already have the maximum size and the speed of the memory.

It uses a standard 2.5 inches wide and 9.5 mm thick computer laptop SATA hard drive. Your was equipped with a 500 GB 5400 RPM hard drive. Because you cannot upgrade the processor or memory, the only upgrade, you can do is to install a faster hard drive or an SSD. Frankly, I wouldn't spend the money on an SSD for a netbook. They are about 85-1, 00 per concert, so a concert 128 SSD (smaller than what you have) will cost at least $90 to 100 and a 500 gig is about $ 400. It would be something like my dad used to call "earrings on a pig." However, I would spend the money for a 7200 rpm or a hybrid disc. You will experience a significant improvement in speed of startup and loading programs sorely need for a netbook.

    Here's a good one:

You will need to reload Windows 7 using a USB or DVD player external usb. After the back if you need some help with that.

  • ProBook 6455 b: Probook 6455 b LCD replacement / upgrade?

    14 "probook 6455 b

    Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1

    Phenom II 620

    8 GB memory DDR3, 120 GB Samsung EVO 840

Very good running - no current errors

I recently bought my wife an refurbished 14 "Probook 6455 b.  She began to process RAW image files and necessary additional processing power on a much slower netbook that has served us well for the last few years.  I added some updates to the probook (8 Gb of RAM and an older SSD) and thought it was perfect, until my wife tries to display his photos on the matte screen of 1366 x 768.  Office equipment became one of my passions over the past 15 years and I am very comfortable with it.  Laptops however do not know as well as my experience of office has made learning much easier.

I started looking for a brilliant replacement and came across a website that list shiny and Matt in 1366 x 768 and 1600 x 900.  I went and downloaded the manual for the 6455 b online and of course, it lists a 1600 x 900 available screen.  The LCD site cautions, however, to get a different resolution that your model came with.  I know the 4250 HD would have no problem with this resolution, but as I did the research more distance there was other stuff that is up - correct display cables, correct pinout, etc..  As best as I can see, there is only one cable for screens of 14 '' HD or HD +.  Everything looks like a go, but am I missing something?  I tell myself that if I open the thing to install a new glossy LCD screen, why not upgrade to a higher resolution, one at the same time?

Thanks for any info that can help me make the right decision.

The manual is not easy to decipher:

    Manual

Better I would say you are right. 6455 b was offered with a range of 1600 x 900 in option and there is only one view cable so you have to work on either 1366 x 768 or 1600 x 900 Panel.

To be sure, HP offers the whole kit and the shebang as a replaceable part, but if you are like me you are looking to get the best possible deal on a Panel.

  • ENVY 15 j040el (Italy): replacement/upgrade for RALINK RT 3290 wifi adapter

My RT 3290 RALINK wifi adapter supplied with HP ENVY 15 Notebook j040el (bought in Italy in 2013) has stopped working.  I got to know of it when all of a sudden I couldn't access the internet more but my Tablet worked fine, so no fault of my ISP.   Fortunately I had at hand a USB wifi adapter to my office, and in him reconnect the wifi was back.  So my RALINK RT 3290 went for sure. Unfortunately, my warranty expired last year, and I can't ask for a free replacement of HP.   There is no RALINK RT 3290 on Amazon Italy.   I've seen a few complaints about the RALINK RT 3290 performance on the forum.

1 can one suggest a good compatible replacement or upgrade?

2 HP suggest a compatible replacement? How? Where?

Laptop model: HP ENVY 15 j040el

    Country: Italy

    OS: Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Processor: Intel core i7-4700MQ, 2.40 gHz

    RAM: 12 GB

    HARD drive: 1 TB

    Warranty: due September 2014.

The module that I suggested is compatible. It is the same physical size and has 2 antenna connectors it will be a matter of popping the old and jump into the new and replace the son, and then to load the driver. I don't know how you burn a wifi card but I mean it is also dual-band 2.4 and 5 ghz 7260 AC if that is a problem for you maybe, my advice would be different.

    2 x 2 vs 1 x 1 designates the number of streams from radio to the card. 2 x 2 is better.

  • 2050sm: Pavilion g7 2050sm cpu replacement/upgrade

    Hello

After a few months I bought this laptop, I noticed high temperatures on CPU (70 + degrees celsius).

2 years have passed and my cpu temperature is now 110 + degrees celsius.

I put new thermal paste and cleaned the dust components because it was stop from overheating. It stops now now but the temperature is always 100 C + according to speccy.

Is it possible to upgrade the processor and that model, or is it better to just buy the new laptop?

    Thank you

Yes, the processor can be upgraded to a 10 - 4600M. Your A6 is actually the lower end of the spectrum for the g7-2000 series.

However, a more powerful processor is only going to running more hot, unless the heat is caused by the stress you place on it that case the A10 could be able to manage better. Laptops at base of AMD just tend to run hot and based on my personal preference, I've avoided them for the past 10 years or so. Computers laptops Intel can be very hot, too, but we just don't see as many problems. The A10 - 4600M cpu is not terribly expensive ($50 or less) and if you've been inside the laptop to work on the cooling system so that you know how to do the replacement. Personally, I think hard on a new laptop but I see also try just A10 processor on luck, it will run more fees. The A10 is packed with slightly better graphics APU then you would see an improvement if you play games on it.

If you do the upgrade remember to apply the thermal compound sparingly, just for the heart of processor and don't forget to clean the fan blades with a cleaner like rubbing alcohol.

  • Can I use Dell original product key to activate a clean Windows installation after I have replace/upgrade motherboard, processor and other key components?

I have a Dell computer, with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed in the factory. There is a product code for windows on the sticker on the box. My problem is that the motherboard and CPU are released. I intend to replace and update the motherboard failed and cpu, ram, power supply, optical drive and eventually put in a larger hard drive. From what I read, I can not simply start the machine with the original hard drive, with windows already installed and activated. So if I wipe the hard drive (or put it in a new), can I clean install Windows 7 and then just use the product key on the sticker on the box to activate the new installation? Or what I need to buy a new copy of Windows 7?

I've also read on other threads, that you can "transfer" a license of Windows 7 on a different machine only if it is a "commercial" version, not OEM. If the version of Windows that is preinstalled on a Dell computer would be "retail" or "OEM"? And to reactivate the software on a rebuilt/updated machine up-to-date with the new motherboard, etc. would constitute a 'transfer to a new machine' or reactivation just on a computer upgraded?

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

  • Portege 7200 - HDD replacement/upgrade

I want to upgrade my Portege 7200 with the standard 12 GB of HDD to a 60Gb, my questions are:-
    1. do I have updated BIOS?
    2 Will fit a standard 2.5 notebook HARD disk drive 9.5 mm inches (for example 60 GB 2.5 "IBM/Hitachi Travelstar 7 K 60 ATA100 7200 RPM, 8 MB)
    3. is special caddies or cable required.
    4. someone at - it instructions or is simple.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello.

    regarding your first question:
BIOS update is useful, but I don't know how much GB the most recent BIOS for P7200 can handle! Try a test!
    2. normally a 2.5 inch HDD fit. I don't know who the old we have size, but you can compare it with the OE ew!
    3. no
    4. normally the change of HARD drive is not difficult. The problem is "the BIOS detects the new HARD drive and the right size." But this only experience could help you!

  • Desktop HP Elite 371f: replacement / upgrade of the hard drive

Hi, my HP Elite 371f desktop computer needs a new internal hard drive. He l just replace one that is in it, or do you recommend a better? I listen to a lot of TV and my nephew likes to play video games on it. THX

    Hello.

According to the specifications of your motherboard, you have 2 ports SATA - 1xSATA I and II 1xSATA, so if you choose, you can add another hard drive and have two separate storage locations. However, remember that I have the speed SATA port will be limited to 1.5 Gb/s, which is the maximum speed available SATA I can reach.

Regarding a specific hard drive that I can recommend, because you want to run applications from the secondary storage unit, you can check WD Black, which is a performance oriented HARD drive with limited 5-year warranty and has good features like a built-in dual-core CPU that makes the ideal player for multitasking , or WD Blue, which is intended for the calculation of daily and he is quite able to run most of the games as well as many programs for editing or programming. Here are some links if you want to take a look:

    WD Blue - http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=iErTRv

  • G71 340US hard drive replacement/upgrade questions

I have a hard drive that is dying a slow death.  Only, I ordered a new hard drive for this laptop update a few minutes previously, literally and noticed a difference on the product page of the etailer between the title of the HDD that I ordered and the specifications for it.  The title indicated that the replacement of the hard drive is a SATA 3.0, but the specs seem to indicate that the hard drive is a SATA 6.0.  After doing my research, I know that the G71 340US laptop comes with a SATA 3.0, so I know not, at the very least, it supports SATA 3.0.

So here are my questions: the G71 340US laptop does support SATA 6.0?  If it isn't, the drivef that I just bought will be retro-compatible with this laptop?

There is no such a thing, to date anyway, which is called SATA6.

I guess you mean SATA600 instead.

SATA600 is the same specification as SATA3. A hard drive of SATA600 is interchangeable with a disc spec SATA3.
