RV110W routing & NAT

Hello.

Please let me know if you can make the network connected using RV110W or not.

When I read the 'rv110w_admin.pdf' mannual, P38, I guess that RV110W cannot be built two router mode & NAT.

Because I can not setup NAT to access the internet if I place "Mode of operation" "Router" on the creation of "network > routing.

And, I can't configure routing for internet access & VPN MPLS access if I configure "Mode of operation" as 'Bridge' on the creation of "networks > routing.

ARO

In gateway mode (NAT enabled), RV110W will be NAT traffic between WAN and LAN and linking multiple IP subnets on the side LAN.

NAT router mode (disabled), RV110W only the routes between subnets.

I use the WC200v1 for a while and it was a lot of work.  I disabled the router/Nat and comes to be used as a modem only.  After you disable the routing/Nat, you are given an IP address, which still allows access to the device.  I don't remember what is this IP address.

I have another device offering routing/WAP capability.  The WCG200 acts ONLY as a modem.

Someone knows what IP to use to still access the device or should I just connect my PC directly after performing a factory reset.

  • WRT310n - Routing/NAT has stopped working

    Cisco Forums Hello,

I'll try to do this as detailed as I can, tell me if I missed something.

I've been on vacation for 2 weeks (all computers were OFF, but slept WRT310N) and when I came back none of my computers could access the internet. I have Linux, Vista, and Windows 7 computers on this network, then it is not related to the BONE.

Each computer gets an IP address from the DHCP server on the router, each of them can ping the router, but they cannot ping outside addresses. I tried the "Diagnostic" utility in the router admin interface and I can ping the router google, but not from any other computer.

I tried pigning my Gateway ISP and Google using their IP (bypassing the DNS) addresses, but in vain.

Setting a static IP and the ISP DNSes on a computer does not work either.

I restarted the router, rebooted the cable modem, renewed the IPs, restarted the computer and restarted the network intefaces. Nothing works. Wireless works fine, but not external access.

Thus, the router sees internet but NATted computers aren't!

It was working fine 2 weeks ago.

What else could I try? I am at a loss here...

    Thanks for your help!

I tried all your suggestions, but everything seemed fine.

I'm finally back to default settings... and now it works again.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Order of procedure SonicWALL for routing, NAT and policies

I'm confused on the prescription that the sonicwall verifies a package.  The way I heard the order, it will:

    (1) check against the access rules,

    (2) check against NAT Polies

    (3) check the routing.

    Installation program:

Subnet point of VPN endpoint - Internet - SW NSA 2400 (VPN) - sub-network B (from C subnet)

    A subnet is 10.1.100.x/24

Subnet B is consists of three IPs, 192.168.99.4,.50, and 109.

Subnet C is contains the host IPs 192.168.13.4,.50, and 109.

I VPN configured to allow traffic from 10.1.100.x to the hosts on the subnet B, what NAT and the host subnet C.  This method works more large, is not a problem.

I need to reduce access to certain ports.  Once I set access restrictions in the port, the firewall blocks ALL.

When I look at a screenshot of packets when traffic is blocked, I see the following:

    Source 10.1.100.5--> 192.168.99.4 accepted

    Source 10.1.100.5--> 192.168.13.4 refused.

Block of code indicates that it is because of politics.  However the policy review should have been checked and checked already.  If I change the VPN policy to represent both sides of the NAT (ie. 192.168.99.4 and 192.168.13.4) then passes the traffic.

If anyone can explain what is happening?

I tried to look through some KB SonicWall has publicly available articles. But I did not see anything that doesn't seem to help. In this case, I think you might want to give SonicWall support a call.

    https://support.software.Dell.com/manage-service-request

They can help to look over your configurations and see if we have to make changes. They should also be able to answer your technical questions about how the packets are received or managed.

  • Routing/NAT does not not on SAA with anyconnect

Hi sorry for the post but they seem to hit a snag that I can be completely absent.
I'll post the config here, but some names are being changed and intellectual property

I have just sentp Anyconnect on the SAA for VPN

The problem I have is the following-

I can connect through anyconnect using a certificate SSL of the SAA,
I authenticate via the domain contoller fine.
I get an IP address of 192.168.100.1 pool, bridge always seems to be 192.168.100.2
So I can't access anything on the network, I want to go 170.62.0.0/16

I have attached the Config file

If anyone can tell me what I can be out there or have bad.

    Hello

In your firewall you route 170.62.0.0/16 through 170.62.4.11, gateway, in this other router 170.62.4.11 could check you if you have a route back to your VPN network 192.168.100.0/24 pool, otherwise add a route back pointing towards your asa inside the ip of the interface 170.62.4.22 and then try conecting.

  • Cisco router: RV110W

I am installing a Cisco RV110W router in my network, currently I have a service contract with TalkTalk broadband, which uses PPOA to connect to the internet. They advised me to put the router in that had mode bridged, what I've done. Te router that they provided is a D-Link DSL-2680.

After plugging the ethernet to the WAN of the Cisco port cable and port LAN 1 of the D-link I can't get the Cisco to initialize the internet.

I select the PPPoE function in the Cisco router, however, when you use the D-Link router, it's usually a PPoA VC Mux connection. It doesn't seem to be an option to select a PPPoA connection in the Cisco router.

When it try to connect there is no response from my modem/router in Bridge mode.

I would use the Cisco router with my current router in this way. If this is not possible, I would like to give the address IP of Cisco have all computers on the network through the Cisco route before arriving to the internet enabling my firewall and access control setting etc to work. I don't know if this would work but that I would use the VPN and QoS options on the cisco too.

Is it possible to have the D-link router/modem function normally and connect the LAN of the D-Link port to the LAN/WAN port on my new cisco to achieve without forcing cisco to connect to the internet and to recognize the connection?

    Any help is very appreciated.

Here you can see the Cisco GUI; Launch the emulator from device online

The different subnet mask thing that should not be, it was just to avoid having two routers using the same network, which has taken care of by changing the 2680 to 192.168.0.1.

You're right about the strange gateway on the WAN connection, it should be 192.168.0.1 (2680).  I think it might be the problem, because your pings are never power the 2680, the RV110W routing table sends those 192.168.0.2 for some reason any.

I'm going to put in place here at home so I can go on it as well, in the average to make sure that you have power cycled at least once, and you might want to try resetting the RV110W and setting up again (what you have done so far has been correct) sound silly I know but sometimes things just stuck.

I put the same scenario here right now, and I'll see if I can make it work.

Oh and the only ping you were missing was the 2680 WAN IP address, but since you can't even ping the router LAN port, it, it won't work anyway, so don't worry it.

  • PAT on PIX vs NAT overload on router

    Better question practice...

It's better to perform PAT through a NAT overload on a router bastion with a static on the PIX instruction or PAT on the PIX configuration uses a global IP address?

    Other alternatives?

    Example of router *.

    Router configuration

    IP nat FirstPAT 172.16.5.100 pool 172.16.5.100 255.255.255.0

FirstPAT IP nat source list 10 overload

    access-list 10 permit 10.10.10.0 0.255.255.255

    PIX installation

    static (inside, outside) 10.10.10.0 10.10.10.0 netmask 255.255.255.0

    Example of PIX *.

    Global (Outside) 1 172.16.5.100

    NAT (inside) 1 0 0

Thanks in advance for all the messages!

In my opinion, there is no real compelling reasons to go with one idea on the other. Probably, I would lean towards leaving the PIX do NAT, but I could be swayed. The reason is that the PIX has essentially already been NAT (all back on the same address). But again, either should be good.

A suggestion however if you went with overloading NAT on the router would be to do it with a map of the route as opposed to the example of access list you have. Something like this:

    IP nat FirstPAT 172.16.5.100 pool 172.16.5.100 255.255.255.0

IP nat source map route nat FirstPAT overload

    route nat allowed 10 map

    access-list 10 permit 10.10.10.0 0.255.255.255

This creates a NAT entry in the NAT table on the router.

    Good luck.

  • RV110W QuickVPN does not work

    Hi all

I have a problem with my RV110W router. I would like to configure access QuickVPN. The manual is pretty simple: enable management to users to create, install the client and that of it, should work. But isn't. It does not work.

Few questions. Remote management is enabled on port 8080. Should it be changed by 443 as required for QVPN? Or it doesn't matter. It's ok, to have management on 8080 and QVPN 443?

I tried to connect via the customer QVPN worm. 1.4.1.2.

Each time the same error msg, see entry wget_error.txt:

    https://USER1: [email protected] / * /: [email protected] / * / RES = user1: Bad port number.

Of course the ip as user and pass was changed.

I tried to change the port management to 443, but first:

    1. I wasn't able to access the GPMC to all the

2 QVPN - still does not work

    Any help really appreciated.

If you want more details, let me know.

    THX,

    Miro

    Miroslaw salvation,

First of all, for Quick VPN to connect to the router to that remote management is enabled on port 443.

If you are able to connect to the web interface of the router of th on port 8080 and not when you change the Rremote management to port 443, it means that another device using port 443.

Where RV110 is behind a NAT - to the front, there's another router with a public IP address, it could mean that this port is used by this device, or it is not transmitted to the RV110 at all. If it comes to your configuration, you must forward other ports (UDP 500 and 4500)

If RV110 is configured with the public IP address on the WAN port, check that you have not created rules for this port of port forwarding.

In all cases you need to free this port firs order to use fast VPN

  • Connect my - rio to PC via network router

    Hello

I wonder if I can connect my rio to the PC (without adding wireless network card to the computer) through my network router. In other words, if I connect my rio for the network wireless router and the PC is connected to the same network via ethernet, can I control my-rio (send/receive commands) through the internet?

    Thank you.

In a typical sceanrio, LAN and WIFI are bridged and part of the same subnet. There is no functional difference, and there is no routing involved.

Once the routing is involved. that is, if two devices are on different subnets, there may be complications. First, he need to distiguish between plain old routing and NAT routing (as typically found in consumer devices).

For a classic routing (assuming that all intermediate routers have routing tables appropriate), the only question here is the firewall. The routers neeed to allow traffic and endpoints (your windows computer and the MyRIO) must allow connections from other subnets. Most often, they only allow local connections by default for security reasons.

For NAT routing, the LAN subnet is invisible to the public internet. The entire network has only (usually) a public IP address. The NAT router performs the tracking of a NAT table that remembers the local IP address of outging requests (for example if you surf the web) and therefore knows where the incoming responses sent from the internet, modify the headers of packets and pushing them to the side LAN. This only works for connections initiated from the local network ougting. If the connection is from the outside, all that is visible is the public IP address of the router. In order to run a service on a computer on the local network, the router needs to know about it. This is what port forwarding rules are everything. In general, you must manually configure the router, but some special applcations can also create automatic transfer rules (whether by the router via an ALG, or by the customer via UPNP).

In short, you need to deal with two problems:

    • Make sure that the packages can find their way to the destination (routing, nat, etc.)
    • Verify that packets are allowed to make this trip (firewall policies).

Can you ping the MyRIO? What is the IP address of the MyRIO?

Yes the TCP/UDP entries that are stored on the router GUI is not removed if your power cycle your router, it only will scan when you reset your router. The temp of the mapped Ports will get whipped out when you put your bicycle router

  • Wireless and VPN RV042 router WRT54G

Respected member, please help if you can! I have an ADSL with dynamic connected with the wrt54g router, I recently bought RV042 and want to connect the wire coming from wireless with ports. so, basically, I want to use RV042VPN for help after the router, is there a way I can use vpn behind with port using RV042 router wireless

I can't be able to connect to the vpn as he seeks is not an ip or WAN/LAN.

It may be possible if you're lucky. But I highly recommend not to connect the RV042 after the WRT. A VPN server must always have a public IP address. Running a VPN server behind a router NAT (such as WRT) makes it extremely difficult and often it won't work at all. Connect the RV042 directly to your modem, configure it to your internet connection. In this way the RV042 has the public IP and VPN should become much easier. Then implement the WRT as simple access point in your network by changing the address LAN IP of 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2, disable the DHCP server, and connect a LAN port of the WRT on a LAN on the RV042 port.

    Hello

Your 2 wire wireless mode, is actually a Modem/Router combo.

I hope that your Prosafe device is connected as a switch with an Access Point.

If it is connected as a second router you have independent networks that will not work against the second router NAT doble and thustwo.

I just bought Cisco ASA 5512, no chance I could remove the Cisco 2911 router NAT and set the default gateway for Cisco ASA?

    Yes you are right...

You must ensure that you get the routed LAN traffioc to hit inside the interface ASA in ASA, you can do PAT/NAT to access...
