• Y5070 CPU throttle problem

  Hi all

  My lenovo y5070 has a intel i7 4720hq clocked at 2.6 ghz with the mode up to 3.6 ghz (this is what its supposed to be). I noticed (using Task Manager) the fact that the processor will only up to 3.3 ghz under full load. I need to mention that the laptop is plugged in and power is set for maximum performance (with advanced option 'State of the processor' set to 100% maximum) on windows 10. There are no other options powersaving haven't turned on and I failed to find anything in the bios.

• Throttle Assy out of the crate and SFS flight controller

  I have a throttle stick and joy old SFS I want to use it on my new laptop FX.  I bought two Gameport to USB adapters to connect to the laptop.  I was told that I probably search for drivers. I plug them both, but they were not recognized as game controllers. There should be an option to calibrate both. I really need help because I'm not all that knowledgeable about computers.

  EagleKeeperF15, you will need to check with the manufacturer of your flight controller to see if they offer any drivers for Windows Vista, or maybe even test those designed for XP. Unfortunately Windows Vista can't stand the game port, so compatibility is not guaranteed. • Regarding the firewall in RV180W/RV220W

  Thinking of getting a RV180W or a RV220W for my home office. E4200 before installation and other models of consumption but the first to use the class Affairs (interested support VLAN to keep home & office LAN separated for example).

  So the question with the firewall in these units... is the SPI firewall already out-of-the-box configuration? All that I should be concerned that differs from the security configuration in the patterns of consumption such as E4200?

  Hi Rob, the firewall is configured by default. In this regard, there is not any necessary changes to 'Add', only to take away some or customize if you need specific services.

• Cisco RV220W w Win Server R2 Essentials 2012: connection anywhere access

  I recently updated a network six computers with Windows Server 2012 Essentials R2.  The problem I have is that I am unable to access anywhere to put in place correctly, with the most common being of error messages: 1) anywhere access to your server is blocked & 2) there may be more than one router on your network (which does not exist).  I have UPnP active (although have hesitated to do) & port 80 & 443 is forwarded to the IP address of servers. The previous server used before the upgrade was Windows Sever 2012 Essentials and after of many trials & errors had access Anywhere works fine for our needs for about two years.  The router that has not changed, nor have the settings because it did not work properly is a Cisco RV220W.  Any help or any settings on the router to check/change would be greatly appreciated, since I'm pretty much of ideas & need to get remote access to the top & running for this case.

  Before starting my answer, I want to let you know that I have no experience whatsoever with the anywhere access system. I have never set up or used. That being said, I did a little research and found that, generally, just redirect ports 80 and 443 to the server and also to enable uPnP on the router so that the other ports required get configured manually.

  According to the information I have found, there are several other ports that must be opened via uPnP and maybe that's the part that doesn't work.

  I mention that, in addition to opening ports 80 and 443, you also need the 25. 1723, 987, and 3389.

  Here are my recommendations:

  1. check the uPnP on the Rv220W table to see if other ports are open on the server. To do this, go to Administration - settings - Discovery - Discovery UPnP, make sure that it is enabled and then checked the table to see if other ports seem to be open on the server.

  2-if they are not, and then open manually. To do this, go to the firewall - access rulesand add rules for all necessary ports.

• RV220W - rules of access/redirection of port with multiple WAN IP addresses

  I just installed a Cisco RV220W - that works very well for outbound traffic, however for incoming it seems unable to work with multiple WAN IP addresses.

  We have a block of 6 WAN IPs assigned to us by our ISP, and I want to use each of them to expose certain ports on our servers to the outside world.

  I tried to do with rules (by using HTTP, for example) with the following parameters:

  Connection type: Inbound (WAN (Internet) > LAN (local area network))

  Action: Always leave

  Service: HTTP

  Source IP: Unique address

  Start:

  Send to the Server Local (DNAT IP):

  Use other WAN (Internet) IP address: disabled

  Status: Activated

  However, the port of the inaccessible Server/rest.

  I tried:

  • Restart the server with power power off again
  • implement the same port forwarding settings
  • triple-checking all the IP addresses used

  The only way that I have working is by changing the access rule so that it applies to any specific source rather than to another address... but this isn't a solution for us because we need to use specific IP addresses to the internal servers/ports specific.

  The interface of the router admin certainly suggests that this should be possible, but using it seems to break all incoming access!

  Any suggestion is welcome.

  You must use "ANY" as the source IP address, you publish your internal server to the internet and the internet means that the request comes from any source IP address (you don't know what it is, so that's all.

  Basically, you want any source IP to hit one of your WAN IP on port 80, and then your firewall will redirect the request to the internal private IP address of the server on the same port 80. And when the answer comes back internal server, the firewall will already have this translate entry in and reverse NAT won't happen (you must configure it, the default firewall function).

• RV220W Inter VLAN firewall rules

  I just bought RV220W Cisco router for our branch to replace Zywall 2 Plus.  Update to the latest firmware 1.0.5.8 device.

  I tried several different setting, but can not solve simple inter configuration of VLAN, that ZyWall resolves in a few clicks.

  I have a simple task: I need two VLAN isolated on my network (VLAN 1: 10.1.2.1 and VLAN10: 192.168.2.1). No movement between them VLAN is allowed. I have to configure several exceptions:

  1.) access of VLAN1 to Server (192.168.2.40) from VLAN10 port 3389 (RDP).

  2.) VLAN10 access to a network printer (10.1.2.10) on port 9100 VLAN1.

  I tried several settings and configurations of firewall that does not work.

  I tried inter VLAN (VLAN-VLAN) rules to block all traffic except permitted, but these rules don't change anything.  I have full access to one VLAN to another and vice versa.

  I tried to disable routing inter VLAN, which solve my task of isolation, but firewall interVLAN rules does not work for exceptions, I need.

  For this configuration, you must first uncheck InterVlan routing for both VLAN (network > LAN > belonging to a VLAN). Also make sure that the ports are propely configured-tag/Untagged/excluded

  After that, he must create access rules 2 (Inter MELANIECARDENES (VLAN - VLAN))

  -from Defaul to VLAN10 - always allow - Source all - Destination 192.168.2.40

  -Since VLAN10 to Default - always allow - Source all - Destination 10.1.2.10

  There is no need to create rules to block, as it is by default and interVLAN routing is not enabled.

  If with this configuration you still do not have access to the server and printer, you can use Administration - diagnosis - capture the packets and Wireshark to track if the packets are routed properly through VLANs and where the string stops.

  I can find reviews of products by Tim Higgins at SmallNetBuilder.com for both products. Overall they are good products with different features. RV042 is known for its long duration of its life cycle. Stable VPN and support for Dual WAN is its main differentiating factors. With the exception of two WAN ports, RV220W offers more features, especially selectable dual-band WiFi, SSL VPN and VLAN tagged. Being a new product, is expected to see more frequently updated firmware for RV220W.

• VLAN-RV220W - help needed

  I'm having a problem with a new vlan on this router. The router uses the default firmware 1.0.0.26 because I can't use 1.0.1.0 because we have a DSL connection that requires PPPoE.

  Vlan1 is for our work and our SBS PC which acts also as the DHCP server. The router is configured with a static address and has disabled DHCP.

  VLAN5 is a group of PC, who cannot have access to the Internet and nothing else on the network. I made a few screenshots of the parameters.

  

  

  When I connect a PC port 4, a valid IP address is not received from the DHCP configured for VLAN5, instead the PC receives an address IP of SBS located on VLAN1, it also shows that I am connected to the local domain on VLAN1. Me missing something, is there something else that needs parameters. I can't understand why I don't get a 192.168.5.0 address.

  My VLAN10 secure wireless works very well and receives the correct IP address.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Well have gone through your messages and also set up a similar configuration in our laboratory. Note that I had trouble; no problem with the RV220W, but rather the switch was close one of the ports connected to RV220W. So I went to the SG - 302 switch and disabled STP on this port and everything started to work very well. So, it is probably similar in your case too. Also if the netgear is a fully managed switch, why don't you just truck two virtual networks on the same port. This will release two ports in your network. you mentioned that you receive an ip address of the vlan 1 when you were connected to the vlan 10, even with your configuration file, I haven't lived something like this. On the wireless side you can reconnect each SSID and the test. Tests you want to make sure that you do an ipconfig/release () and (ipconfig / renew) your IP stack could keep your permeable connected network settings.

• No UPnP on RV220W?

  I am running firmware 1.0.2.1 on my RV220W. I would like to activate the UPnP service for automatic opening of ports as needed. According to the Administrator's guide, the UPnP service can be activated from the firewall > Basic Settings > UPnP page, but I don't seem to have this page. What Miss me?

  Just recently, we bought a RV220W. We tried to find out how to set up a port as a trunk port to pass multiple VLANS to a XenServer. The documentation indicates that it is possible:

  The port is configured correctly for the VLAN. A VIRTUAL LAN must be not identified, usually of the defautl VLAN on the network, because it is a Trunk port. If you had the opportunity for general port you could leave all the VLANS unidentified. The switch that connects to the port must be configured exactly the same.

  Hi Mike, the built-in client for MAC does not work with the RV220W. The reason is, the MAC IPSec client is the same as the Cisco VPN 5.x client.

  The reason that this is important is that the 5.x client work that on certain small business products include the SRP500 and SA500 series.

  I would recommend that you search by using a client VPN as Greenbow or IPSecuritas.
