S10-3 only two recovery DVDs

Hi guys again!

Now, I'm doing the recovery DVD... But I am in doubt. Research on the forums, has not found something similar.

Win 7 Starter, OneKey Recovery 7.0 no additional software installed. Any new system.

OneKey Recovery-> create Recovery disk-> default recovery disc factory

As the screen said, he needs THREE DVD. The video here, FAQ, etc all of them said the same thing.

But mine, it requires only TWO disks, and the second is full of 70%. Run TWICE the thing, and it made TWO records...

What's wrong? The description or the process? An experience like this will be appreciated.

Thank you!!!

The application calculates 3 DVDs, but if you did you only need 2.

I made the game of diskettes to recovery a long time ago and I have only 2 disc (and they worked).

Best regards.

    Of course.
The Toshiba Recovery CD is designed to recover the laptop.
Using the recovery CD you will get factory settings.

But note; the Toshiba Recovery CD format the whole HARD drive and erases the HARD drive partitions.

  • Tecra R940 - error upgrading to Win 8 via Toshiba recovery DVD

    Hi all

I just bought this brand new Tecra R940 dealer of Toshiba in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, about three weeks ago.

The machine is with preinstalled and activated Windows 7 Professional. In the area were also two recovery DVD Windows 8 Pro. The seller specifically says that the machine comes with Windows 7 with a "free" update for Windows 8 on two DVDs.

Now, I didn't really set Windows 8 business (I've tried a few times in the past and didn't care much for him - of course), so after that I set up the machine and install all my software and updates, I created a Windows 7 system image and decided to try again to Windows 8.

So, I jumped the first two DVDs in the drive and rebooted. I pressed F12 and tried to boot from the DVD drive and... nothing! I kept getting the error "non system disk or disk error; Press any key to continue. "I tried several times but nothing helped, so I started only in Windows 7.

    What I'm missing here?

    Thanks in advance,
    Shady

    Hello

Before you start do something please create Windows 7 preinstalled using recovery media creator Toshiba recovery media. Later if you want to have Windows 7 once again you can install it using this recovery media only.

Back to your problem. Now if you want to install Windows 8 using sent discs please change the settings of the BIOS first.

  • Is recovery DVDs the only disc with Satellite A200-1CR

I wonder if I had all the discs with my laptop Satellite A200-1CR, because I can't make heads or tails of the files on the recovery DVDs. Where are all the programs that I should get with the computer., and I had everything installed from the beginning. I want to reinstall windows, but I am concerned if I have all the programs like: winDVD and Norton Security and all the driver.
    Thank you!

    Hello

The Toshiba Recovery DVD is only one of the disks that came with your laptop.
On this DVD, you'll find a Toshiba recovery image that contains the operating system Windows, drivers, tools and additional software.
If you want to redefine the laptop to factory settings then just boot from the recovery disc and the installation will begin.
But note; the recovery DVDs will format the drive so HARD integer if necessary backup data.

Other programs like Win DVD or Norton Security are OEM versions and, therefore, are only on the Toshiba Recovery DVD. It of not possible to download it!

I have a Toshiba Satellite P 300, and I want to create a recovery DVD.
How many DVDs to 4.7 GB / by, if I prepaire for this creation?

    Thank you
    in fact, I have a Toshiba P300-22F,
There is a hard drive failure, because I changed the C: partition size
I have to restore the player to factory default state using the recovery DVD,
but I don't create this DVD.

    One of my friends has a model Toshiba P300 - 1 5.
so I try to create this DVD form his computer...

    Hello

At first I want to give you advice on DVD, you must use. For a successful recovery creation DVD use DVD-R virgins. I created several media recovery on the models of different laptops, with DVD-R media always worked.

On the market there are several portable Satellite and Satellite Pro P300 and image is not the same for each of them.
    Just for info:
-Satellite P300-1GL I needed a blank media only, but
-for Satellite Pro P300-149 I needed two of them

So I think that you need one. When you start 'Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator' and choose the media you want to use it, you will be informed how many of them do you need.

    Good bye

  • Pavilion g6-2306el: problems with the recovery DVD-R discs

Hello, it's only now that I saw that the DVD + R is suggested for all recovery discs burning. A little too late for me, since I bought several DVD-R to produce my game. Here is what happened: each disk has been created with difficulty; the burning process failed on all the others try. But in the end, I finally got the DVD-R 4 program have been burned and verified correctly. Now, when I tried to insert each disk to make sure that the laptop was able to read properly (the content supposed to be confirmed, after all), to my horror, I realized the first two discs were not being recognized. However, my patience was rewarded when, after a long time, suddenly, an Explorer window showing the contents of the disc. Taking advantage of the situation, I immediately copied this content in a folder on the desktop. It took me a long time to do this process for the content of the first two discs that had recognized problems. Subsequently I also copied the contents of the discs 3 and 4, which was much faster. Now, I have four folders with the corresponding content of the recovery disks in the office. The question is: can I use these content and burn on DVD + R this time, in order to have a working set of recovery disks? Thank you very much.

    Hi @anthony_s

    Thank you for your query.

I understand that you have created your recovery on the wrong type of DVD disc and does not work.  You have copied the contents of folders on the desktop you and want to know if you can now create new recovery DVD on the appropriate type of files.

No, it will not work.  I suggest that you contact HP support and inform about events and inquire about obtaining a recovery kit.

  • Is or is not "Application and Driver Recovery DVD" bootable? -Corrupted boot safe mode fail CryptUI.dll

I'm recovering Pavilion dm4-3170se of my daughter. My daughter did not a recovery disk and has no recent backup of its set of data files.

Problems (and what I've done so far) are quite parallels to what the user indicated in this post incredibly detailed:

Difference is in start-up Mode (command line or not) safe, Windows startup fails on a dll, specifically CryptUI.DLL.

Although incredibly detailed post user is not getting into the Windows startup, I have mod... for about 30 dll before it chokes on the corrupt. I tried a number of other things to get passed without result.

Game drive recovery of origin of my daughter bought the farm when his house burned down. So I ordered and received a replacement of HP. I am reluctant to use before retrieving his data files because it may lose 40% of its professional activity.

The set of recovery disks delivered includes an "Application and Driver Recovery DVD". Account of > 20 years Wintel machine tradition, I presume it is bootable. Surprisingly, user detailed Post got hers to start from the DVD drive. But the configuration of the BIOS to get the DVD drive as the first choice of startup is not to begin after two trials.

Before I pour more time into that, I want to the Collective Wisdom here.

Q1: Is this disc HP, numbered 691822-B22, meant to be bootable?

Q2A: If it is, imagine you I can use the command line interface to copy the DLL identified-as-bad to the HD?

Q2B: If she isn't, why the, uh, gollygoshdarn isn't? Must be a reasonable thing...

Thanks for all the ideas based on experience.

    Hello:

No matter what DVD driver and HP application I have ever used is not bootable.

It should autorun from the windows desktop once windows has been reinstalled.

This is the only question that I can answer those you requested.

    Suggestion...

Make your own installation of W7 ISO from the link below.

Use to install W7 and do not delete all partitions or format the drive.

Windows install and create a folder Windows.old to the current operating system.

Then, you can copy all the files you need from the Windows.old folder after installing W7.

Once you are sure that you have got what you need, use the recovery disk set to restore the hard drive on his out of the box state.

Link to files ISO of W7 is below.  Use the W7 x 64 home premium from the SP1 media list file refresh.

    http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/14709-Windows-7-Digital-River-direct-links-multiple-languages-x86-amp-x64/page59?p=470600&viewfull=1#post470600

Then use this tool to transfer the iso file on a flash USB DVD or 4 GB drive.  The tool also performs the file iso bootable.

  • Satellite m40x-249 "product Recovery DVD" in the other language

    Hello

    so, here's my problem

I bought my laptop in Germany over 2 years ago that I live in Poland
with her, I have produced recovery DVDs, German edition of course
but my disk got zero terrible and I can't use it anymore

is it possible to get a new one, not specifically in German, it can be in Polish (I prefer) and how much it will cost me?

and I can make my own recovery DVDs, I already installed XP from another cd, found most of the drivers I needed (from site Web from Toshiba) but still i find some:

    DLA V4.95BUILD490B69B
    InterVideo windvd 5.0B11.475 - I0203
    V8.02.05 warranty booklet
    manuals V5.16
    Save now V7.22BUILD720B80E
    secure module SD V1.0.2
    Toshiba zoom hook V2.31.0.2C

Anyone know where I can find them, I would be grateful

    THX in advance

Other tools are only additional software that are provided with the laptop.
This software is only available on the Toshiba Recovery CD and cannot be downloaded.
All Toshiba drivers are published on the Toshiba page!

If you wish, you can order the recovery CD of the ASP where you bought the laptop. In you case it s Germany.
Finally and most importantly the recovery CD can be ordered only in the same language.
If you bought the laptop in Germany, you will only get the recovery in relevant language CD.

I'm not sure about the cost but it must be very cheap!
Contact the ASP and simply ask!

  • Satellite Pro L870-172 error 003 when retrieving the recovery DVDs

    Hi all

Having a devil of a time with this portable darn. So I bought the recovery dvd. tried to boot from the disk and comes with no OS bootable. Thinking it could be a problem with the optical drive, I created a bootable usb key.

Received the usb key to start

So I goto Toshiba Recovery Wizard
Press Yes to say it will wipe the drive.
    Retrieves the software factory default
In the end, I get an error message

    Error: 003
    Recovery error

Press ok to start the computer

You can see the final screen here.
    https://DL.dropboxusercontent.com/s/1fq5yk4t9hjhmk9/2014-09-05%20at%2012.38.PNG?DL=0

    Can anyone help plleeaaaseeee.

The only thing I can think is that maybe when I created the USB startup key should I copy then disk2 on the stick as well using xcopy.

I think there are several reasons for the error.
The recovery media or the hard drive is may be defective. Wrong settings of the BIOS, etc...

I recommend you to check once more the Toshiba Recovery bootable disc.
I don t think that there might be a problem with the optical disc drive.
From my point of view, it could be a bad BIOS setting.

The Satellite Pro L870-172 has been pre-installed with the system Win 8.
Please check start secure as well as the UEFI boot mode option in the BIOS.

Generally, in order to be able to boot from different devices to boot, secure boot must be disabled.

  • M40: RECOVERY DVD HELP

    Hello.

I'm new here and this is my first post. I hope that I am able to do a little help because I searched all over the internet and can not find help for my topic. I have a laptop Toshiba M40. It came with a DVD of recovery and a recovery CD Express Media Player. I have two partitions on my hard disk, C, and D.

I have all my dad on D. If I want to use the recovery disk to restore all data in C and D to keep the same. But when I put the recovery DVD in the ROM it does not give me an option to choose an expert or simple, it just says: "this will delete all your data, are you sure."
    What should I do?

    Thank you very much

    Bryan

    Hello

As far as I know, you can choose between the simple and expert mode.
After starting Windows Xp recovery CD (NOT Express Media Player recovery CD)
You can see two options 1 single and 2-expert.
You must select the expert mode.
If you are recovering your system on C files on the same drive D.

  • Tecra S3: issues of recovery dvd

    Salvation;

I have a Tecra S3 120 model and its drive hard sata 80 GB has been partitioned to install debian and other BONE and have a backup only fat32 partition.

Tecra have a manual and a single DVD, the recovery DVDs. A long time, I decided to have a quick glance; I started, and oh surprise, tool recovery begins to format drive without my intervention.
    Quickly I turned off.

I am fortunate because only first 20 GB seems to be lost, so I only lost partition winXP and no backups, and linux (knoppix and testdisk help me to redo the partition table and the man gpart show how to do a mbr backup me and restore).

Unfortunately, a second attempt gave me the same behavior of "recovery."
Now I reinstall Windows XP, and a look at DVD show me that, like other Toshiba (Quosmio F-20), this DVD has an 'expert' mode (I see the bitmat with the screen, in a folder).

I consider that the behavior by default as a danger bug, but:

    1. How can I access the so-called "expert mode" before formatting?
2 and, very important, what is the image of ghost I have to choose for my 20 GB partition?
Perhaps these images are volumes of the same image? :

    Thank you!

    Hello

I m very surprised of your suggestion.
To my knowledge the recovery procedure doesn't start automatically.
You must choose between 2 modes, the standard mode and expert mode, until the procedure will begin.
It is very amazing that it is not possible to choose it between these modes.

But you can order a new partner of Toshiba Recovery CD.
Perhaps only your CD is damaged.

In any case, I don't think you will be able to restore your 20 GB on the HARD disk. My view, to start the process of full recovery to reinstall the Windows operating system

    Good luck
