S2240T monitor with touchscreen and 8.1 Windows

I bought a monitor S2240T to use as a touch screen with an R2 of Alienware X 51 (Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 Ti 2 GB graphics card,), running Windows 8.1. It works, roughly. I can tap furiously several times before it will respond, and it often just not responding at all. I use a HDMI cable, everything is properly connected, and Device Manager shows the monitor as a tactile device compatible HDMI. It's just that this monitor is not really compatible Windows 8.1? This is not intended as a criticism of Dell or Microsoft, the monitor is actually a large screen, I just want to know if I bought the wrong type of monitor for Windows 8 touchscreen, 1, or it is supposed to work better than this?

Quick update: I recalibrate the touch controls and adjusted the settings for a shorter, lighter touch. Now, it works much better on the half left of my screen only. The right hand of the screen is totally inadmissible to the touch. Is - this Windows 8.1 compatibility not or it's just a defective screen? It is very strange, because touch now works fine on half of the screen!

Sounds defective.

  • Transition files with FLAC and WAV in Windows Media Player 11

    Hello
is there a solution/support/plugin to get a feature a transition when I play the files FLAC and WAV in Windows Media Player 11? Now it doesn't work between my losless WMA files.
    Thanks for any help!

No, I'm pretty sure that it is not possible. A transition in WMP 11 is available only for MP3 and WMA, and I don't know any plug-ins that allow a transition to other formats.

For WMP 12 on Windows 7, the situation seems to be a little different. WMP 12 is actually melted chained WAV files, and I believe he can crossfade FLAC too, but only if you have a filter to transform Media Foundation for FLAC installed files. Unfortunately, such a thing does not exist (all active filters of FLAC are for DirectShow). Tim Baets

  • Acer Aspire S7-391 Windows 8.1 Issus with touchscreen and Trackpad

Hello. I've just upgraded to 8.1 Windows, everything went well, but I realize now the touch screen is much less reactive than before, and many times I have to touch twice to make the action, something that never happened to me before with Windows 8.

    ¿Any suggestions?

Another thing is the trackpad, which for example now does not scroll with 2 fingers and other things that did before.

    Thank you

PROBLEM SOLVED WITH THE TOUCH SCREEN!

Go to the Device Manager and look at the Human Interface Devices. There will be some USB devices that end up being the touch screen. If you change the options of feed on those so they don't turn off to save power, the problem should be solved.

Please let me know how it works for you.

    I have an Acer S7 391.

  • Acer laptop comes with Vista and upgraded to Windows 7 now does not

My daughter has an Acer laptop and her boyfriend spoke to him in switching to Windows 7, but we are not sure if it was legitimate. He worked for a year or so, but now she cannot access the start menu, you cannot start in safe mode and may have a virus. She has no backup discs. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Well, if she worked for a year, then it is probably quite legitimate. Whatever this is not activated within 30 days is usually made in an unusable state, or limited. The most likely problem is a virus. She is able to run programs? Some useful malware removal tools are:

    Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool
    Malwarebytes
    SUPERAntiSpyware
    Spybot Search and Destroy
    Microsoft safety scanner

And it's not the Windows 7 installation disc that used her boyfriend? If you cannot use these tools or the computer is too slow and does not respond then you can use a Live CD. What you do is start you on a CD or a flash drive in a separate operating system in order to perform analyses of virus on the hard drive. You will need to use another computer with a blank CD burner and imgburn program. Write these two files .iso with imgburn.

    BitDefender Rescue CD
    Kaspersky Rescue Disk

Turn on the computer. Insert the CD of bitdefender inside her computer. Turn off and turn on and watch directly downstairs or upstairs for command to enter the Boot Manager (usually F12) or BIOS Setup (usually F2). Is there is a Boot Manager button and then you must press the key once in a relationship at the time wherever you turn on the computer. Select this option to boot from CD/DVD.

Is there is only one button for BIOS, then you will need to manually rearrange the order of boot devices so that the CD/DVD drive is at the top which makes the first boot device.

When the operating system loads up, make sure that you connected to the internet and update the latest virus definitions. You can then run the scan on the hard drive. After that all viruses are removed, then do you the same thing with the Kaspersky CD. It's just to make sure that all viruses are removed.

I hope that my explanation was not too difficult to follow.

  • Very strange bug with AIR and native process (Windows 7, EXE)

    Hi all!

    The situation is:

I did an Application AIR, inside which a native process - running EXE file.

I use Flash CC as IDE and tried to use the compilation as EXE with AIR 2.6 and 3.6 - results are the same.

So I insert inside a control if the nativeprocess is supported or not and the native process is supported all the time.

When I come to install the application and run it - the first attempt is good - everything works as a must: internal EXE is called by my Application with the necessary parameters so long I need.

However if I close the application, then if it run not new - internal EXE is not starting at all, depends on number of attempts to restart the application.

Then only is to uninstall, install back and then you'll be a session more successful EXE-internal requests, until the forthcoming resumption of the application.

    That's all.

I tried to "google it" but without success. The bug is probably very rare.

    Help me please?

Update: compiling with the Flash IDE of CC, he works all the time with no problems.

Update-2: when I run EXE installator, there will be a notification "same version is installed, etc.', then choose 'Run Now' - he also works without any problem.

Well, I found the solution and the answer by myself and it is here please:

In the case with the same situation above, you will need to add a single line in your AS3 code

    nativeProcessStartupInfo.workingDirectory = File.applicationDirectory;

And you will be so happy

  • Double connection monitor with HP H8 - 1360T

Just got a new HP H8 - 1360T with a Radeon HD7570 video card. I have two monitors with DVI and VGA inputs on them. They were both used with an older Dell dual mode. Unfortunately the double with the Dell adapter cable has a male end LFH59 (all pins) that will not connect the HP H8 - 1360T.  Is it as simple as getting the right cable? I see some references/DVI-I single and double as well as DVI - D single and double. I want to extend my desktop on two monitors. Can what adapter cable I get? Thanks for your help.

    Hello

You said that the monitors DVI so use a native DVI cable to a monitor, and then a DVI cable to HDMI to the other monitor.

To eliminate any problems check each monitor, one at a time on each port to make sure everything works before moving on to the next step.

Go to the AMD Catalyst Control Center and set up a display EyeFinity group.  You should be put in place a group of 2 X 1.

If necessary, go to the AMD web siteand download the latest driver for your video card video card.

  • Pavilion HP w2408h monitor: monitor w2408h and upgrade of Windows 10 Anniversaty

When I try to install the Windows 10 birthday Upgrade on my PC (Lenovo), I get an eror message that says that my HP Pavilion w2408h Monitor driver is not compatible with Windows 10.  I have updated the driver but I got Windows 10 on this system for a year (only the old update seems to be a problem). HP is aware of this problem? There will be a new driver? The monitor is wonderful, and I wouldn't give it up on something like that.

    Hello:

You can always do the W10 installation DVD (using the below media creation tool) and autorun it from the windows desktop.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows10

Skip the check for updates and W10 should work around the equipment checks and install.

Then reinstall the latest version of the driver that HP has for your screen from the support page.

It is normally the way to cross any device that blocks W10 to settle.

Absolutely does not guarantee that the equipment works, but generally it will be.

  • Problem with T400 and external monitor (1920 x 1200 resolution)

    Hello

    My laptop:

ThinkPad T400 2767-C99 * (graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 256 MB / X4500MHD (Switchable Graphics)), OS is Windows XP

I just installed the latest video driver from lenovo page (which also installs "ATI catalyst")

    Externale monitor:

    I just bought a Samsung SyncMaster 2443FW, 24 "TFT monitor with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200

    Problem:

Monitor works fine with my new T400s and my old Acer laptop. However, with my T400 (described above), I can't do the monitor uses the 1920 x 1200 resolution. However, all the other ugly resolutions so I need it to work with 1920 x 120

-If I change the resolution of right on the desktop of Windows XP (and then properties-online settings) and set the screen on 1920 x 1200 resolution, then my monitor used only a lower meanless (1440 x 900) and effect of scrolling as I move my pointer on the screen

-If I use the ATI catalyst software to set the resolution, I can only chose smaller resolutions (he not go 1920 x 1200)

    Questions

Is it a hardware (maybe the graphics card does not support 1920 x 1200) or a software problem (maybe a problem with the driver) or just a matter of adjustment?

    What can I do?

    Help would be much appreciated!

    * Original description: 2767-2JG base: T9550(2.66GHz), 4 GB of RAM, HD 250 GB at 5400 RPM, 14.1 LCD in 1440 x 900, 256 MB ATI Radeon 3470HD, CD-RW/DVD-RW, Intel 802.11agn wireless, Bluetooth, Modem, 1 GB ether, UltraNav, chip dry, RPF, camera, 9 c Li - ion, BACK license

    Problem solved:

I was using my old monitor vga cable that doesn't use 14 pins (worked fine with my T400s and Acer laptop - but not with the T400).

=> When I switched to cable 15-pin that came with the monitor, the problem was gone!

  • PC HP 8560w: second monitor with Windows 10

I have upgraded to Windows 10 and my second monitor will not work. On Windows 7, I was running my second monitor with a USB 3.0 port. Apparently, 10 Windows does not support this configuration. How can I feed my second monitor in Windows 10 using either a USB 3.0 or MIC port?

    Thanks in advance.

    Coltrane22

I'm running an additional monitor in Win10 to a USB connection, but it uses a USB adapter / VGA, and to make it work, I had to install the drivers that came with the card.  Before that I did, Win10 has not even seen the monitor.

    Good luck
