  Hello, I have a 13 inch Macbook Pro, bought in early 2012. I've never updated before until today when I updated to El Capitan. Now, Safari does not. Just, it isn't really access all Web sites (it does from time to time but stall and take forever to load it all) and says that Safari does not and so I have to force quit. I tried to remove all of the plug-ins and extensions, but that didn't fix it. I also just installed the update and that it did not set or the other. I don't know what to do. Chrome works very well. I'm reluctant to delete my browsing history, because there are things in there I need. Who will fix the problem? I just wanted to see if there was an alternative first. Thanks in advance.

  This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

  Step 1

  The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.

  You certainly have a form of malware/adware installed that replaces your preferences whenever you launch Safari.

  Quit the Apple Safari > force quit menu. Relaunch Safari since the Dock icon while holding the SHIFT key. Clear your Safari history and Web data.

  Help! Safari on my iphone fairly new 6s went haywire.  Safari opens very well, and if you type a direct URL, it will go on the site very much.  However, if I try to search for any topic it will pull up the pages of Web sites, but does not allow me to connect to all the links when I select a link it freezes and crashes safari.   In addition, if I try to open any link embedded in an e-mail, it still freezes and blocks the mail AND Safari.   Try resetting Safari. Close Safari completely from the multitasking window by double clicking the Home button and slide up the preview pane of Safari until it disappears from the display. You may need to search the Safari part covering scribbles to the left. Then go to settings > Safari > clear the history and data from the Web site. Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears.
