Samsung DVD - ROM SD - 616E won't after uninstalling
My DVD burner has not been recognized by the MyDVD video software. Troubleshooting, I uninstalled the drive DVD and rebooted. When I click on activate legacy (gives the code error 20 or 22) it says that Windows cannot activate this legacy. I tried updating the driver. Any help would be appreciated. My computer is a Dimension 4600, the disc that came with the computer. It's Windows XP.

Problem started with a code 39 error code when cumputer did not recognize the readers of CD rom. cure the problem of recognition, but still cannot read any DVD or CD should I replace the disk driver
If AZEEZ N article did not help you, then try to reinstall the drivers.
I had the same problem - the computer showed cd/dvd players, but he has not read cd'dvd. I showed it to a computer repair man and he said if reinstalling drivers does not help, then this means that there is a hardware problem and you will need to purchase a new cd/dvd-rom...I bought a new drive and now the problem is gone! -

Why my CD-ROM/dvd-rom drive does not disappear after the installation of Service Pack 2 and how do I get it back? Because before I installed Service Pack 2 I had a problem of code 10 and tried deleting the thing fixing upperfilter, but that did not work, so is there anything else I can do. I have a HP Pavilion dv9000 and it is 3 years old.

Satellite A200 - HD DVD ROM is not working
Hello
Can someone give me advice what to do with my HD DVD ROM It's playback discs after departure upward but then if I don't play anything for a while (30 minutes or 1 hour) and then try to play HD DVD ROM stopped reading anything and the laptop became frozen. Sometimes it even stops with the error message.
If I restart my computer then HD DVD ROM still works but for a short time.
What should I do?
Kind regards
OlgaYou have cd/dvd utilities in the system tray? Maybe they are causing a problem.
Try to remove the CD/DVD filters in the registry.
When the associated CD/DVD (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), the software is installed, they install filters in the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.(1) run Regedit (start-> Run-> Regedit)
2) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
(3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".
(4) restart. If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).
This utility can remove the filters for you:

DVD Rom won't recognize there is a disc in the drive
My uncle gave me his old computer for Christmas. Before it was given to me it was sent for a tech restore the computer to factory setting. I think that they wrote zeros to the hard drive and started it completely.
I used a few weeks after I had put the computer because I had installed something that did not work, System Restore. I had not won it first, but always ended up doing a system retore to when the computer is first restarted.
Now my DVD Rom will not notice when a disc is in. Him sometimes turns on, but the computer does not appear there in a disk. I looked in my computer and the CD drive is listed as empty. Even when I try to play a DVD. The drive appears in the list player however.
Any idea what I could have done wrong or how to fix this problem?
Thank you.

I have this CD/DVD which will play normal CD but will not play any DVD (DVD + R, DVD-R). I noticed that the DVD would not work when I was a BONE
RESETTLEMENT. I put in my Windows XP restore disc, and installed successfully. Then I put in my drivers disk that was on a DVD-ROM drive and it wouldn't work!
I could hear the spinning, but it sounded abnormal, and nothing appeared in my computer. Not open same AutoPlay. Frustrated, I decided to get the drivers of
sites of different manufacturers, including the driver of CD-ROM to see if I could start the DVD. Even after that I installed the drivers for the hard disk, DVD will not play again.
Any ideas?

My readers Optiarc DVD - RW AD-7530 ATA Device DVD/CD-ROM & the Bison Webcam built into my laptop. Does not work after I upgraded from Vista home premium to Windows 7 Home premium.
Although of course, the CD-ROM drive worked during the upgrade.
I noticed that when I turn firstly on the laptop, the last two lines of the front entry from Windows 7 are the following.
PXE - E6i:Media Test Failure, Check Cable
PXE - MOF: Exit PXE Rom
During the audit of each Properties in Device Manager devices", I learned that they both work correctly. In the list in the printers and the @Devices the only Webcam shown is also a "USB 2.0 Camera"
Can someone help me please?
Best regards
JohnBesides what abdelhak says:
The message of PXE boot that you receive when you start your computer has nothing to do with your CD/DVD-Rom drive. Your computer uses a PXE boot method to attempt to load Windows from a location on your network. Since you do not have this configuration, it is safe to ignore it. If it slows down the startup time of your system, contact your manufacturer and ask them for instructions on how to "disable PXE Network Boot of the BIOS.

Hello
I have a Dell Optiplex 755 desktop computer. Running Windows Vista Business SP1.
yesterday I was looking for a good burning program so I went to Nero since I've used it before and I like it. I installed the trial software and used for a few hours, everything was fine. After that I uninstalled the software and when I rebooted my system the DVD-Rom and DVD burner I had installed had disappeared. I looked in the Device Manager and cd players are there but have a! next to them saying "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »
anyone has a solution for this or what I can try to start back?
Help, please

Pavilion p6744y: HP Pavilion p6744y DVD-ROM does not not after installing Windows 10.
I have recently installed Windows 10 on my Pavilion p6744y. Since installation, the DVD-ROM does not work correctly. This worked perfectly before the upgrade of the OS and is the original drive installed by the manufacturer.
Spin discs and the light flashes, but there is no response from the computer. DVD - ROM does not appear in Device Manager and has been confirmed as "ENABLED" in the BIOS Setup screen. All wires and cables are attached and tight.
The HP Support Assistant is installed and confirms that all the drivers and software are up-to-date, like Windows Update.
Microsoft contacted for support and remote access to the PC. They have attempted to install an updated driver, but have been unable to find newer and easier to apply than the drivers already installed drivers. They were unable to solve the problem and advised me to contact HP. Contact HP is not useful because the PC is out of warranty and they expect me to pay for the support.
Help, please. I suspect all that I need is a updated driver to make the DVD - ROM communicable with 10 visible Windows.
I know a little about this stuff, but I'm certainly not a computer "guru". Please keep the simple resposnes with easy to understand by a layman terms.
Thanks for your help!
I FOUND A SOLUTION!
Research in the blogs of support paid off in a big way. A minor registry editing is all it took, and my player works like new!
Here is the solution. My system is Windows 64-bit 10.
Resolution 5: Create a registry subkey
Note to use this method, you must be logged on to Windows as an administrator. If you need help, check that you are an administrator, go tohttp://support.microsoft.com/gp/admin
Important follow the steps described in this section carefully. Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you edit, back up the registry to restore in case of problems.
To create the registry subkey, follow these steps:
Press the Windows logo key + R to open the run. (or right click on the windows down icon to the left)
Type regedit in the run box, and then press ENTER. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow
In the navigation pane, locate the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi
Right-click atapi, point to new, and then click key.
Type Controller0 and press ENTER.
Right-click Controller0, point to new, and then click DWORD(32-bit) value.
Type EnumDevice1 and press ENTER.
Right-click EnumDevice1, click on change...
Type 1 in the value data box, and then click OK.
Exit Registry Editor. -

How to restore my CD-ROM/dvd-rom for my system again? This has happened once the system has been formatted. HP Windows xp
Hello
You receive messages or error codes?
This can happen if the CD\DVD drive requires updates to the firmware or need to assign a drive letter for the same.
Since you formatted the Windows XP system, you can check out the link to HP support and check if it helps.
CD/DVD drive is not detected (Windows XP, ME or 98)
Important: Change the BIOS (Basic input output system) / Semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
We can also refer to article and check if it helps.
Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs
