  • Is the clip on the Clip Sport more sustainable than on the Zip Clip?

Like many of you, I had several Zip Clip clamps break/crack.  It is is a regrettable fault on an mp3 player also very functional.  I have my Zip clip to my belt of shorts when running, so a work item is an essential feature for me.

So is the clip on the new Sansa Clip Sport more rugged/durable and less prone to breaking than on the Zip Clip?

This bumping to see if someone can answer. Thanks in advance.

    Prons and cons of exFAT?

Google does not work for you?

    This should help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ExFAT

exFAT manages large files more than 4 GB, without the expense of NTFS journeling.  Better suited on a removable media disk hard but can be used for both.

  • How to convert a WPL of music file in my Windows 7 to an MP3 for a Sandisk Clip Sport formart

Song downloaded to Windows 7 Media Center. It is a WPL format, but I can't play on my SanDisk Clip Sport MP3 player because the player does not support this file format. How can I change the WPL to MP3 format?

Hi Natalie - WPL is a playlist file and cannot be converted to mp3 because it contains only pointers to the actual music files. You need locate the actual music files and transfer them from there. (They may not be no need for conversion - it depends if they are in a format supported by the SanDisk card - it seems to support usual ones).

    Cheers, Ric.

  • Why the SAN disks and drives NAS recognized differently by the computer?

    Hi all;

I'm a newbie in the sharing of storage.
Why the SAN disks and drives NAS recognized differently by the computer? Computer sees SAN disks as local drives, NAS drives as network drive, even if they are all connected to the computer by the same network topology.
I knew that SAN uses the block level transfer to transfer data all in SIN use level file transfer. Is that what this has something to do with which SAN and NAS drives are recognized differently by the computer? If so, how?

    Thank you.

  • How anyone SAN disk of multiple ESX hosts?

    Dear all,

We presented several SAN drives to a few servers ESX 4.0 memory of EVA.

As one of the SAN is not necessary now, we want anyone there.

It is also confirmed he does not need to keep all the data in this SAN disk, would you please indicate the steps to this end, but no need to shutdown ESX servers?

In fact, I tried to study the following document, but it is too difficult for me. Help, please.

Unpresenting a LUN that contains a store of ESX 4.x and ESXi4.i data

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1015084

    Kind regards

    Tommy

what you need to do is really, make sure the logic unit number is empty, remove the LUN of your stocks of VI.  From there, ask enterprise to after LUN storage team.  When they have been the team of storage upnpresented, rescan your storage adapters, and logical unit number should not be more visible to your VI.

  • Creating DAS or SAN Disk Partitions for ASM

    Oracle® database Installation Guide 11 g Release 2 (11.2) for Linux (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24321/oraclerestart.htm#CHDBJGEB)

    * 3.6.3 step 2: * creating DAS or SAN Disk Partitions for Oracle Automatic Storage Management

In order to use Oracle ASM a DAS or SAN disk, the disk should have a partition table. Oracle recommends to create a single partition for each drive.

My question: why Oracle is recommended to create a single partition for each disc? For a disk to use on Suse Linux, I normally need at least 3 partitions, i.e., boot, swap and root.

    Scott

These scores are for your operating system. Partitioning of a data disc is not very conducive to the continuation of the salary plan. Redundancy function what sense does make having 2 mirrors on 2 partitions on the same drive... When the disc goes down, you're toast. How you run your last command "Edit CV update s/n"

As for the score, he should start cylinder 2 through . Crush the first 1 M drive will overwrite the table to partition and in the case of Solaris, the VTOC. (Virtual table) Without the VTOC table or partition, your device becomes a useless brick.

If you have only a single disc, then ASM is not a storage solution that I would sue. You need a device for performance benefits.

  • How to locate the fiber channel SAN disks on the ESX Server

    Hi all

    Please help on this

How to find and configure the fiber channel SAN disks on the ESX Server

    Concerning

    Vijay

Assuming that you have configured LUNS on your storage space itself you will need to ensure that the ID in the world of fiber HBA on the host ESX (you can see them registered against fiber HBA under storage adapters, WWID) are configured on the switch of fiber access (read and write).

In the VI Client connected to your ESX host, select the storage adapters tab and highlight the Fibre HBA. Right-click and select Rescan. If you have correctly configured the SAN and the Fibre switch, then the LUNS now appear under the fiber HBA. Go to storage and select Add storage. Follow the wizard through to add LUNS and VMFS format. Do this for each ESX host that you want to see the LUNS.

  • Cannot add files to Clip + but no error message and Clip Sport works fine on the same machine

I used successfully the Clip + 4 GB for years without any problem, currently using Windows 7 Prem 64 bit.  Now when I try to add files using MS Explorer it shows the added file (in the Green window scroll bar) but never ends adding the file!  I waited 15 minutes for a short file without success.  Also, I started to use a Sport Clip 8 GB and it works fine, just can't get the Clip + to add more files.  I can delete files and can also use files that remain on the Clip + but can not add new ones.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks in advance.

I tried to reload the firmware and this time it worked well and is not only all my old stuff still on the Clip + but I was able to add a small file without problems and properly access all folders of files, so THANKS for the suggestion and the problem solved!  BTW, I had 318MB of space on the Clip +, not KB... Sorry about that
