Sansa e250r broken

I formatted my sansa e250R and by mistake I put big alocation in size and now every time I connect it to my screen of PC lights up blue and I have to remove the battery to turn it off. There is no way to Flash the memory of something like that to reset the whole device?

Have you tried The Recovery Mode and the sansa.fmt trick?

  • Sansa e250r restarts constantly

I read a lot of posts on the Sansa E250 reboot constantly and have read that installing the new firmware should take care of this.  My computer does not recognize my Sansa because my Sansa will show the first screen (Sansa), but when he goes to the second screen (Sansa Rhapsody) it freezes and restarts continuously.  I have reset the firmware by following some instructions I read on a forum: with the system off, hover over the hold button, press and hold the record key, connect to computer, release the button the recorder, drag the downloaded firmware (for my Sansa E250R I found only version 1.0.2.165) to 16 MB icon in the my computer tab, then I unplugged my Sansa and it says that the firmware has been installed successfully but the player has restarted and went into the same restart mode.  So the update of the firmware does not seem to do the trick, does anyone have any additional info that could solve this problem?  I would like to call Tech Support, but I am currently in England and cannot remind States and have not found a number of tech UK.  I need this MP3 player like you wouldn't believe.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it is a model v1, you can work around the inability to connect to the computer to manage files by installing rockbox and using the external SD (HC) as a liaison between the internal memory and the computer.  The big problem, however, is that you cannot easily recharge your battery more.  You would need another player to be used as a battery charger.  Cheap because these babies are now it's really not worth it.  Buy another player, and if it's also an e200 series, then save your old as a potential source of spare parts.

  • Sansa Fuze connects, but does not load and does not appear on my computer.

    Hello everyone.

I have a 4 Gb Sansa Fuze, which is (of course) out of warranty.  I have been enjoying his music for quite awhile and have had absolutely no problems with it until two days ago, when it ran out of battery.  I left it in my car and the next day went to connect via the USB port on my computer.  The sansa has begun with its typical "splash screen" reading "Sandisk Sansa, followed shortly after by a blue moving the ring and the words 'Connected', followed by about a second later"writing", followed by a second. later 'connected'  This is normal for my fuze (that I know).  However, the problem with the logo of the battery in the bottom right of the screen, which normally indicates a small "lightning bolt" next to the battery and it shows the battery 'filler '.  Now it shows only a white empty battery.  There is no bolt of lightning, and there is no charge to the battery.

I have tried to consider the sansa as a device via "My Computer" and sync in Windows Media Player.  None of them show that I have nothing connected.  The sansa updater doesn't recognize not my rocket is connected.

I know for a fact that the USB loader is not faulty, as I also have a second Sansa Fuze that connects perfectly and was purchased at the same time.  I don't think that it is the slot USB itself that I changed the port to all others and still did not have a change in the status of my sansa (broken).

If it helps is that I connect to the computer:

    HP Pavilion m7580n

    AMD Athlon 64 X 2 processor Dual Core 4400 +

    2 GB DDR2 RAM 1.8 GHz

Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2

Thanks in advance for any help that can be given...

also, I would like to apologize if this has already been discussed (I read until my eyes hurt and couldn't find something similar).

    Thanks again,

    Josh

    UPDATE:

Apparently the good things come to those who wait (and leave that their Sansa rockets connected for days despite the hopes of oinitial n it will load).  Today I woke up and found that my Sansa Fuze, which previously were not load had miraculously blamed himself.  I have unfortunately no idea as to the reason that he works all of a sudden.

Thanks for your help anyway!  It is good to know that there is a place to come when your Sansa is broken...

    Thanks again,

    Josh

  • Sansa Fuze wheel broken

My Sansa Fuze wheel is broken. There it stuck and didn't budge (does not), so I can't navigate the menu. This makes it essentially useless.  Can it be easily solved?

The "rocket" is only around the age of 7 months.

    Thank you.

Call A Technical Support for an RMA possible since it's still under the one year warranty.

  • Question of broken sansa clip?

I know its broken because I tried everything to get it to market. So my question is... Can I call to get it replaced? I bought it in December, but I don't have the box more. I see a number of series on the item itself. What are my options? Thank you

  • Broken Sansa Fuze

I went to watch a video and the screen went black, but he remained all black. None of the controls worked so I turned it off. Now I can't turn it on, and nothing works.

Hold the power button (side) for 30 seconds.  Try again and see if it works.

If this is not the case, try plug your rocket into the computer and see what happens.

If this isn't the case, please provide more information, see the FAQ for any questions, you can answer.

  • Broken volume control

I bought the closure zipper Sansa clip not but a month ago and everything works fine...

Until yesterday, when I went to use it, I realized that the volume would not turn upward. Inspect that closely, it appears that the volume control is broken and will not do anything but lower the volume and now is permanantly stuck on mute and I see no other way to lower or raise the volume. Everything on the player seems to work perfectly well. Its very frustrating thing that little makes this useless player.

Please let me know if anyone knows how to solve this

It cannot be "fixed". Return it to your dealer for another (if possible), or contact the Support technology SanDisk to 1-866-SANDISK (726-3475) on a replacement under warranty.

  • Sansa e260 abruptly stopped, recognized by the computer

    Hello

I was humming happily with my e260 sansa for over a year.  Suddenly the device is no longer recognized by my computer.  It cannot find the driver.  I've read many, much-related posts here by people with the same problem, and it is unclear what is the solution.  I tried to update the firmware, and it says that it has no recognizable feature.  I tried to look on the problem of the PSG, but I can't find the USB settings (Windows Vista is sometimes so little intuitive).  I checked my WMP version, and I don't think that can be the problem because I have a latest version.  I tried to read a few pages of FAQS posted, but all links were broken.

Can someone help me?  I just bought one for my mp3 player speaker system, so I'm looking forward to having to buy a new one.

My boyfriend hit the cord and magically the appliance starts to work again.  After two months.  I say I learned something from that power.  Thank you for your help.

  • TWO LAPTOPS WILL NOT DETECT SANSA CLIP 8 GB IN MY COMPUTER

I have to be very thick, but if I can install an Ipod via itunes, so it must be easy p1ss!

I'm on my second sansa clip 8 GB, and still my laptop does not detect the device? Why is this?  Ive been hooked up for three hours as the book says, but it does not even recognize it is recharged, the battery power is in the same position, I started the so-called charge upward, and he did not move!

the strange thing is, if I plug it into my usb HP printer port, accusations of bloody thing?

Im confused, Ive formatted, like three times, Ive changed to automatic detection, MSC and MTP but still nothing...

    IM using Windows XP

The usb cord little has the same end for my N95 8 GB, so I plugged my phone on my laptop using the same USB cable and it works, but for some reason this sansa will not be detected, Ive tried all ways and always make me not anywhere with her

I don't not even a small icon in the system tray, it's in my head

    IS IT BROKEN?

    Yours, lost

    A few things to try:

    -Another USB cable.

-Another USB port, especially one in the back of your laptop.

-Try to set the video mode USB MSC under settings of the element.

-Try a system reset (with the music turned off, hold the on switch upward for 15-20 seconds).

I hope that one or the other will do.

  • Sansa Fuze 8 G is no longer grateful SanDisk external memory and locks upwards if I try to used.

I have a G 8 rocket and recently bought a SanDisk 8 GB Micro SD HC.  I had loaded movies and music on the SanDisk via Rhapsody map.   Everything worked fine until a few weeks ago.   My PC no longer sees the external memory through Rhapsody or my counter top.  In addition, if I plug in the card and turn on the "rocket" - it freezes and won't turn on.

In reading the comments, I have tried the following with these results:

Re formatted Fuze - still does not recognize external san disk card

settings changed to PSG - no change of pc or rocket

changed the parameters of meteorological service of Canada - no change to detonators - pc show an "external drive" additional but unable to do something - States "insert disk" when selected in my computer.

Not sure if it's the Sandisk 8 gb card or the "rocket".

The "rocket" lights up normally without the card inserted?

And you are sure that the card is at bottom, clicked in?

Can you see if something else will read the card - a cell phone, a camera, your computer through a drive?

When I had this problem with my rocket I ended up re-formatting of the "rocket", which you say you did.

You could also put at level or downgrade of firmware by following the instructions in the manual in the Firmware update note: just get the file (if possible x.x.26), unzip and place the fuzea.bin file in the directory root (the Sansa drive letter). He will say that it is the firmware update when you disconnect.

    http://forums.SanDisk.com/Sansa/board/message?board.ID=sansafuse&thread.ID=33874

And Yes, it could be the card. And it could be the card slot - which is what I thought that my problem is that when I formatted.

If one is the problem, you will have to replace the broken hardware. But that's what I thought I would have to do until the Format and the fixed firmware my friends, so don't give up yet.

  • Sansa Media Converter and MPEG-4 video?

    Hey.

So I got a new Sansa Fuze this morning (very nice, an improvement over my old C240) and I got my whole music library on my player. Around 390 songs.

I decided to throw some videos I have on the player, but they are all mismatched videos of various size and format. So I tried to treat them well my STROKE (Video converter) all morning to get a format suitable - I use MPEG-4 codecs, as the box says that's what he supports.

Windows Media Player (which I hate, but to use the "sync" function) or does not support the videotype itself or even said that the player refuses the video and that its not able to convert.

Thus, after exhausting the formats AVI, WMP, MP4 and MPEG-4 Mobile, I discovered frustratedly I need to use the Sansa converter. And the link to it here, apparantley, broken.

So, can someone tell my where I can get the conversion software?

You must use software update to get it. They began to do this in order to follow the downloads. What I did was to install the software update, download SMC, then uninstall the update.

  • Questions on Sansa Clip + units purchased in different stores: there are slight differences?

    Hello all-

My spouse and I bought a SanDisk Sansa Clip + 4 GB in different stores the same day.  We intend to keep only one and the packaging is slightly different, so after a brief purchase background, I have some questions as to the differences between the two in order to solicit advice as to who to keep and which you want.

    CONTEXT OF PURCHASE:

Two units have been sold at the same price, both have the same UPC and the return of the policies/guarantees for two stores seem to be identical.  The color of each is the same (black) and the exercise of copyright for packing at the rear is 2010 for both, that is: (c) 2010 SanDisk Corpation.  We have not broken the seal on each box and do not want to facilitate the return of one.

    What is different?

I bought my unit to H.H.Gregg here in the United States, and the number above the same UPC's:

    SDMX18R-004GK-C57

    And here's the UPC number:

    80-56-09564 - 004 G

My spouse bought at best buy and the number above the UPC:

    SDMX18R-004GK-A57B

    And here is the UPC:

    80 56-09570 - 004 G

In addition, those bought at H.H.Gregg indicates 'Software Rhapsody', and the Rhapsody logo under 'quick start guide' in the column of "Content" on the left side of the box while one bought at best buy Rhapsody No mention outside of the box.  And with the exception of a white banner with "Sansa Clip + 4 GB" on the face at the bottom of the box purchased at best buy, the type of packaging, graphics and colors look identical.  Both made in China.

    MY QUESTIONS:

1 - does anyone know of any slight difference between the two?

    2. that contains software Rhapsody and the other and if so is the inclusion of this software an additional benefit?  (Never used Rhapsody, but my understanding is that it is similar to iTunes?)  All opinions on this topic is welcome, although I've never used iTunes and maybe not a similar service.  The software takes more space and it is difficult to remove if I don't want to?)

    3. I suspect the above number ending by "-A57B" (i.e. with a ' B' versus without him) indicates Sansa units shipped to the and sold through Best Buy, where the 'B '.  Is this correct?

    4. However, the numbers which could describe the difference between two low, the middle parts which are "- 09570 -" and "- 09564-"? "»  Is the '- 09570 -"a model a little later?  (Again, the "-09570-" is that of HHGregg, without any indication of Rhapsody.)

    5. who would keep you, or is it just a case of flip a coin?

Sorry for nit-picky issues, but I recall reading some interest in the version material different numbers with the other units of Sansa and the benefits of one over the other and I was wondering if there might be a hardware update version at play here as well.

    Thanks for your time! :-)

    =================================================

    Changed to correct typo:

The first issue of the unit to buy at best buy should have a 'B' added at the end, as I was writing it under 'MY QUESTIONS'.  It is:

    SDMX18R-004GK-A57B

    =================================================

    Edit #2 to fix typo:

    "column" vs "colum".

Interesting, thank you for researching it! I tried before that my post came but dry.

Until then the objective eye differences?  I would be particularly interested in distinctions of subjective performance between the tuner chips, if any, that the radio will receive a daily use.  Also welcome all favor referring to other physical differences such as brightness/contrast screen.

Still, I guess there is no way to distinguish between the two by the package box numbers and that a practical diagnosis is necessary?

Thanks to all the other replies, in particular the ideas of Rhapsody.

(Incidentally, I'm curious to know if there are differences in sound quality - dynamic, range, volume, all - between the Clip + and Sansa alays such as the "rocket" or same-track playback on each indistinguishable?)

    Thank you!

    JVR

JVR, I don't think that there should be no difference in performance between them. Most likely the changes have occurred due to a different provider offering a better price on a part of SanDisk. My two readers Clip + the two appear identical in every way. And insofar as comparing them to the "rocket", I have two rockets as well, and they seem to everyone to play and hear the same way, at least using the Sansa firmware.

  • Newbie can "t get PC to see the files in Sansa. Just Sansa rpet 'connected '.

Got an e260v2 mainly to record interviews, who intends to move the recording files to a PC where I can transcribe them.

Figured out how to make the recording. Can be read in the Sansa.

When I plugged the USB cable from the Sansa into my PC Sansa screen just stick to 'Connected' to the green display of the two-way arrows between the Sansa icon and icon for PC. I took out the USB plug, it reintroduced earlier and now Sansa says 'Connected' with no animation green arrow action.

But it does not appear as a mass storage device in my computer.  During previous experiences trying to connect the PC downstairs to right kept popping up the message "Found MTP device."

I don't see any way to access my record or anything in the Sansa via my PC.

My PC is XP with SP3, all updates and is generally clean, solid, and well maintained.

My Sansa was purchased, renovated and came with no documentation.

I read the FAQ here - say

"The"rocket"can connect to the computer in 2 different modes, these are:

1 MSC: In this mode the computer will recognize the "rocket" as a mass, such as a flash drive or external storage device. It should appear in the Windows Explorer as the next available drive. When you have a microSD card in the "rocket", it will appear as a separate disk then.

2 PSG: in this mode, Windows will recognize the "rocket" as a 'portable '. »

While I do not know what MTP mode is, or why I would need it and do not know if maybe the Sansa IS now connected in MTP mode,

It seems to me that what I want is MSC mode. ;-).

    Here's what I've tried:

Just an addendum to my own message:

I read somewhere that if you turn off the Sansa (menu button in) and there on which I could get into the settings menu and and change mode USB, Meteorological Service of the Canada.  I did it. When I return in the settings and doublecheck it seems indeed to show that it is now the MSC parameter.

Then, I, optimistic feeling that this should do it, plugged the Sansa to the USB port on the PC.

But I don't have the same screen on the Sansa connected SAYING, all do not see it in my computer.

And, unlike I expected/hoped, the PC doesn't beep and say "found the new mass storage device" or something like that.

I also tried on the PC, go to computer/manage/DiskManagement to see if I could see the Sansa from there, but management drive just repeat myself "Connect to logical disk management service" and not showing any of my drives even after that I disconnect the Sansa. This isn't his normal behavior, so I wonder if my PC plug the Sansa has thrown a curve ball.

I saw also a trick that has proposed will in adding new hardware and try to manually install the Sansa,

but then I go into that systematic (in Control Panel of course) I get the message

"You can install a device at a time. Another device installation is underway... »

And I get that if the Sansa is connected or not.

I'm afraid that somehow the first/first attempts to plug the Sansa has my PC some low countries

at halfway in a facility of the MTP device.

    Any ideas?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Alex

PS Being new here, I don't know if if someone posts a response the system will send me an email telling me so.

If NOT, and if you answer you would kind enough to shoot a note to t * e * m * p * [email protected] (without the * in there) so I know that someone has replied, that would be great.

    Hey thanks!

It turns out that here, it's what the thing was in MY case:

After putting the Sansa MSC mode, I just had to restart my PC to get out of the weird mode he hung himself apparently while trying to install the Sansa earlier as a MTP device (and failing to do so.)

After reboot I plugged the Sansa and the computer as expected, said Found new mass storage device.

Now, I can easily drag and drop files back and forth between the Sansa and the PC. ;-)

But, perhaps you can (if it is not too much time) find out about a few points:

TWO discs appeared in the computer with the Sansa plug in. (E) has all the goodies/files that are on the Sansa.

Others (f) seems to be a device with no media in it. Is there a place where you can plug a sort of flash memory card, which is perhaps what would be in the F the Sansa?

When if ever will I miss (or want) the MTP mode? (A link explaining that would do).

My Sansa seems to have a few music files already on it. Is this kind of thing sample that ships with all the remains or the Sansas because I buy a refurbished?

    And:

How can I check if my Sansa has the latest firmware, and if not you'd updated?

(In general, I am of the "if it isn't broken don't fix this too school.")
