  • The SAR values lower blackBerry 10-> BB phones sold!

    Dear community,

    Dear BB smartphone antenna developers,

    I would like to highlight the fact that the lowest values of SAR (specific absorption rate) of mobile phones have been achieved by Samsung in the last six years. Models Samsung Galaxy have extremely low values of about < 0.4="" w/kg.="" a="" detailed="" list="" of="" phone="" models="" and="" sar="" values="" can="" be="" found="" on="" the="" german="" website=""> http://handywerte.de/index.php.

    Samsung Galaxy phones are a very good quality of voice despite the fact that they «radiate less» Therefore, I wonder why Blackberry is not to low values of SAR, either? There is a great sales potential for Blackberry that there are a lot of clients who have chosen a phone regarding the SAR value - and today chose Samsung.

    Despite the fact that there is no scientific study that shows a harmful effect of radiation of mobile phones on human health, Blackberry could sell a lot more phones with lower values of SAR - threre is still a lot of people out there attention to the value of the DAS.

    With greetings

    BBsupporter

    Hi BillJ,

    you're right, of course, values low SAR are not the only reason to buy a phone and, thus, do not automatically match higher sales rates.

    If you find people who are interested in ras values or not, depends on the audience target, you ask: for example, if you support the business customers who need to ensure security and stability in the communication systems of their company, the fantastic features of the phones blackberry and services (I love blackberry, incidentally) is the main goal.

    However, I am an engineer in electrical engineering and have worked in the field of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). When you work with EMC, after awhile, I had to deal with a citizen initiative about the radiation from cell phones. I was surprised and realized that there are actually people who think a probably harmful effect of radiation of mobile phones on human health.

    As I said, I am an electrical engineer, and it is until today NO scientific evidence for any harmful effect of the radiation from cell phones. But let's look at it with a BB sale economic point of view: there are different reasons for people to buy a cell phone: a good OS, bright screen, good camera, long term, battery, comfortable keyboard, elegant body, large memory, brilliant speakers, etc... If there are people out there, who want a low das, then let me tell you that there is NOTHING that can be done more easily than a lower SAR!

    For example, to significantly improve the camera, you will need to use better lenses, a better sensor and maybe the software will need to be adjusted for a better signal image processing (noise suppression). This means a significant effort for BlackBerry. As an EMC engineer I can tell you that the effort to change the SAR is significant - it requires only slight changes in the design of the antenna. So if the effort is practically zero, why not do it?

    What's my motivation? I love BlackBerry devices and want just BB to succeed again. It is sad to see that blackberry had so much problems in the past. For example, I think that opening the door for Android in the OS 10 is absolutely necessary and will win back customers.

    So, my post on the SAR was just to suggest how BlackBerry can accomplish some specific wishes of customers even better. If the effort to change the design of the antenna is practically zero, if there is virtually no cost for the changes, and the voice quality can still be excellent (as indicated by Samsung Galaxy devices), so why not reduce the SAR?

    Kind regards

  • Flame SAR

    Hello
    I am interested in the Firefox OS flame device. Can you tell me what is the value of the DAS?

    Thank you

    Well according to the flames 'getting started' manual sar values are:

    • SAR head: umts 2100 + bt + wifi: 0,253 w/kg
    • body-worn-sar: umts 2100 + bt + wifi 0,322 w/kg

    and then there's this sentence: "the highest sar value for this mobile phone in a test model is 0.39 w/kg for use at the ear and 0.77 w/kg for use close to the body.

  • Waveform chart - values y get

    Hello

    I'm working on a group project where my team member gives me a graph of waveform as output of their under vi.  I need to use the amplitude (values of y) on the graph of waveform for my part.  I think I'm supposed to use "array index" to do this, but I'm not sure how.  Could someone maybe give an example? Thank you

    Hi Sara,.

    This is because the data type of your waveform graph is in fact a cluster, if you turn on context help (ctrl + H) and move your mouse over the wire, you will see the components of the cluster (two doubles and an array of doubles).

    You can use Ungroup to extract various components (the table is what you want). If you move your mouse over the graph of a waveform with context-sensitive help you activated, you can see what each part of it.

    The first double is x 0 (the starting x position), second double delta x, and the last part is the table of amplitudes (values of y). At the bottom of the context-sensitive Help window is a detailed help link that will lead you in aid where you can get more information on the waveforms.

    ABC = 1254; XYZ = 5684; NAME = riadh
    ABC = 1235; XYZ = 5524; NAME = Nani

    How to approach this kind of needs in ODI.

    THX,
    Sara.

    No problem here because we does not specify the third parameter (limit) of SUBSTR.
    Then it just starts after EMPNO = and will go until the end, regardless of how many characters you have after EMPNO =.

    If you want to replace:

    REPLACE(., '')

    It will replace all the occurrence of EMPNO = in the chain.

    I need the output in this format: -.
    Manager_name, the sum of timeinhrs
    ex: Sara 38
    That is to say for all managers the total number of hours for all the projects it manages must be found...
    Sara is mapped to P1 P2 P3
    If the sum of hours in p1 = 12
    sum hours in p2 = 14
    sum in p3 = 12 hours
    so sum = 38
    the biggest obstacle I face, is that projects are mapped by commas in the same column
    ex manager_name project
    Sara p1, p2, p3
    which means I have to get the details of all the p1, p2 and p3
    and there is no specific limit on the number of projects that can be mapped to the Manager.

    Oh great wizards! kindly help :)
    SQL> select mm.manager_name
      2       , sum(tr.time_in_hrs) total_hrs
      3  from manager_map mm
      4       join time_rec tr on instr(','||mm.project_name||',', ','||tr.project_name||',') != 0
      5  group by mm.manager_name
      6  ;

    MANAGER_NAME     TOTAL_HRS
    --------------- ----------
    ROY                     36
    SARA                    38
    LARA                    39

  • prompt of dashboard works do not correctly with the default values

    I created 2 dashboard:

    Dashboard 1 are:
    prompt A
    report A

    Dashboard 2 were:
    B invites
    report B

    Report A and B are the same reports as structure and filters. Only have different names.
    Prompt A and B both filtered region attributes:
    Invite a default view in clause sql on the "Région" attribute values: region1, 2, 3
    B quickly view sql clause on the "Région" attribute default values: 4, 5, 6

    If I run the A dashboard, it works fine.
    If I run the dashboard B, show me the same values of the dashboard (region1, 2, 3) in the two guests of report.
    If I click on the Clear button, the B dasbhoard runs correctly and shows 4, 5, 6 in the two guests of report.

    Go ahead and skip this step then. I never did, but my colleague has mentioned that you can disable the RPD to be cached at all, so if you are in online mode and you still cannot manage the cache, assume that this feature is disabled.

    In addition, as I said above, I don't think it is a caching problem, it was just more precautionary, so I don't think it will be a big problem.

    Please let me know how the rest goes!

    Kind regards

    I think I'm really having a BAD BAD day... Sorry again... I don't need the domain TOT_FUND_AMT...

    Hello

    Thanks for posting the DDL and DML statements. This helps a lot.

    I don't understand the output, however. Do you want to really two rows of output for each row in the table? The tot_fund_amt is copied from somewhere else? More important still, the results do not include the new flag column. Isn't the point of all of this question? It's good to describe how the indicator is calculated, but you have to show, too.

    I think you want analytical MIN function to find the first app_dt in each group, like this:

    SELECT  a.*
    ,     CASE
              WHEN  ga_cd = 'BBC'
              AND MIN (app_dt) OVER ( PARTITION BY ga_cd
                                          ,              acct_grp_id
                                        )  < TRUNC (SYSDATE, 'YYYY')
                    THEN  'No Show'
                    ELSE  'Show'
         END     AS flag
    FROM     accounts   a
    ;

    Output:

    Note that the NULL acct_grp_id is a group. PARTITION BY acct_grp_id is of course necessary, but we must also, PARTITION BY ga_cd all non-BBC lines will be included in this group. In other words, we are unwilling reported as 'No Show', all ROSY just because TINA or JANA had an early app_dt.

  • Get the value of the item application from another application

    Hello

    My apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but it is very difficult to find something relevant when you are interested in the function V!

    My application consists of a number of different applications APEX that use the same cookie so that you can easily navigate between applications without having to log in again and to keep the same session id. Having separate applications allows to group pages and reuse the code easily.

    I have a requirement to be able to write the values stored in the fields in a single application to the database through a process on a page in another application. As a simplified example, that is to create messages and bookmarks of pages to display specific records in the database. The user will navigate through the system and find a record that they are interested, click on a button that displays a page from another application, enter in some details and then save the record in the database.

    The application of 'other' page knows the url of page called him, so that he knows also the application id and the page, but he doesn't know what file is being viewed. I can find the application and the page id is the name of the element that stores the primary key. I noticed that the V function also accepts the stream id, so it should be easy to then get the value by V (v_item_name, v_app_id). However it always returns null.

    I've simplified this by adding a page on the homepage (32561 application) process to insert a value in a table of test using a process page:
    insert into test values ('#'||V('P1_ID'));
    The result is #41
    So if I go to the page in the other application, I have a page process which is:
    insert into test values ('*'||V('P1_ID',32561));
    The result is *.
    I thought that maybe the other page of the application was ignorant of id flow, in that I spent, but change the above to:
    insert into test values ('*'||V('P1_ID',));
    The result is * 1 (the value of P1_ID in the other application)

    I'm doing something wrong? Have I misunderstood how the V function? Or is there another way I can retrieve the value of an element of application in another application?

    I am currently in 3.1.2, but I just tried this on apex.oracle.com (3.2) with the same results.

    Thank you very much
    Sara

    Hi Sara,.

    Have you seen the answer by Scott here -

    Re: Cross App State of Session

    Namely, using APEX_UTIL. FETCH_APP_ITEM

    APEX_UTIL.FETCH_APP_ITEM(
        p_item    IN VARCHAR2,
        p_app     IN NUMBER DEFAULT NULL,
        p_session IN NUMBER DEFAULT NULL)
    RETURN VARCHAR2;

  • Return all column names of the cells that match a value in a single cell

    I want to be able to scan all the cells in column 1 in column 3 (there could be several) which belong to the same line and check if they all have a value y (X). If they have no value, I want all columns to display all the names of the matching columns as follows: "column 1, column 2" for Elemento.

    This can be a good start:

    B2 = if (counta (C2) > 0, C$ 1, "" ") & IF (COUNTA (D2) > 0', ' & D$ 1," ") & IF (COUNTA (E2) > 0', ' & E$ 1," "") & IF (COUNTA (F2) > 0', '& F$ 1,' ')

    It's shorthand dethrone select cell C2, then type (or copy and paste it here) the formula:

    = IF (counta (C2) > 0, C$ 1, "" ") & IF (COUNTA (D2) > 0', ' & D$ 1," ") & IF (COUNTA (E2) > 0', ' & E$ 1," "") & IF (COUNTA (F2) > 0', '& F$ 1,' ')

    Select cell B2, copy

    Select the cells B2 the bottom of column D, dough

    To add additional columns, you copy the atomic unit:

    & IF (COUNTA (D2) > 0', '& D$ 1,' ')

    and update D2 with the new column and D$ 1 with the new column.

    then... If you add a new column (G, for example) that you want to change it:

    and IF (COUNTA (D2) > 0', '&D$1,' ')

    TO

    and IF (COUNTA (G2) > 0', "&G$1," ")

    and the updated formula would be:

    = IF (counta (C2) > 0, C$ 1, "" ") & IF (COUNTA (D2) > 0', ' & D$ 1," ") & IF (COUNTA (E2) > 0', ' & E$ 1," "") & IF (COUNTA (F2) > 0', ' & F$ 1,"") & IF (COUNTA (G2) > 0', '& G$ 1,' ')

    fill down like before

  • How to convert 'time' readable value?

    When I print just a playlist of iTunes directly on my printer, the time taken by each song fate of easily readable as way for example: 03:27 or 03:08 (minutes and seconds). Choice of the paper version iTunes does not unfortunately for our situation (a dance group need more songs on one page for the program of dances to play each week that would take on one of the pages in the iTunes of a print to the list). I learned how to export the play list in a text file and load to Microsoft Excel (which allows to print more lines per page), but the time taken by each song comes out as just a number (for example, 207 and 188 for the examples only). These values are to be a constant percentage of minutes + seconds digits. It should be possible to convert. But how? It is not among the options provided by Excel when loading a text file.

    I'd hate to convert each hand!

    Thank you.

    P.S. I have a Mac Mini, as indicated below, but the problems that I have described are spend on my Windows 7 PC.

    Rather than address the export, it would be easier to simply copy (from view songs in your iTunes library) and Paste into Excel.

    So if you have this in your library:

    .. .you will get this in Excel:

    Note that the time of stay in the format mm: SS .
