If I understand the user manual that the 2410 can be up to 512 MB (2x256Mb) but the retail sites of the State of the RAM up to 1 GB...

Also, what size HARD drive can go up to and how to change it?

    Hello

If the site Web of the specification of the RAM up to 1 GB, you can install 1 GB of RAM in your model. See the attached link:

    HTTP://UK.COMPUTERS.TOSHIBA-EUROPE.COM/CGI-BIN/TOSHIBACSG/SELECTED_PRODUCT_OPTION.JSP?SERVICE=UK&PRODUCT_ID= 21051 & DISC_MODEL = 0

To upgrade the HARD drive, it should be no problem. You can insert each HARD disk (2.5 (2,5")") in your model, no matter how big it is (must only be supported by the operating system).

  • satellite 2410-603: the graphics card upgrade?

    I have a satellite 2410 603 with a geforce4 420 32 MB card. I want to run games that require directx 9. 0a.
I seems that my card will not support it. The laptop / card can be upgraded to one that can support 9. 0 or it is part of the motherboard for the laptop and I'm stuck with it?

    Hello

Sorry I had to say that it is impossible to update a graphics card in a Toshiba laptop.

A laptop is a very complex machine and there is no space for construction in the slots scalable i.e. I have desktop computers!

It's ufortunately one disadvantage of a laptop, but instead, you have some advantages like mobility, compactness and so on!

You could show https://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com (products) If you want to buy a new one! :-)

  • Upgrade memory on the Satellite 2410

    Hello.

I have a Satellite 2410 703 and I would like to upgrade my ram to 1024. There are now two SoDimm 256Mb@266Mhz (Pc2100).
My question is: can I use any other module of Kingston at 333 or 400 Mhz?
    Are they compatible?

    Thank you very much.

Usually you can also use the RAM modules with the speed of 400 Mhz because the laptop supports a FSB 400 Mhz.

But it is important to use the right module as 200 pin PC2100 DDR SODIMM specification

I hope that I can help you

  • Upgrade the hard drive Satellite 2410 404

    Hello

I want to improve my toshiba Satellite 2410 404 with a hard drive again. For now I have just 30 GB drive and is not enough for me.

I checked three products to a new Toshiba hard drive.

    MK-8032GAX
    MK-1032GAX
    MK-1233GAX

The model MK-1032GAX 100 GB is my favorite and now my question is, if this drive work with my laptop (im going to install the drive in a toshiba technical station, don't do myself.) or if I have to change something with my mobile phone, update the bios or something.

Just tell me what I should do to work with this drive or if my laptop is not ready for it because it is nearly three years.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

As far as I know this laptop supports only 20 GB; 30 GB; 40 GB and 60 GB hard drives
I guess that a 100 GB HARD drive will not be recognized by the BIOS.

    60 GB MK6021GAS HDD
    MP40KF 40 GB HARD DRIVE
    MK30kef 30 GB HARD drive
    MQ20ksf 20 GB HARD disk

Hope this info will help you

    Hello

As far as I know that the wireless card is optional on this unit. This means that you can upgrade your laptop computer with the Mini-PCI Wireless card that you can put in the slot wireless.

    You can use these maps:
    Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card (2, 4 GHz, 802. 11a / b) PA3273U-1MPC
    Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card (2, 4 GHz, 802 11 b) PA3212U-1MPC

  • Satellite 2410-404: General Extension RAM issues

There are two memory two modules (256 + 256) installed on my laptop Satellite 2410-404. There are two locations of memory on my laptop. I want to thank the memory, but I could not find the answers to my questions, but I looked in the manual and to this site and this forum... My questions are

    1. can I extend 256 MB memory by swapping the memory module by module of 512 MB 256? Of memory should what type of module I take?

    or

2 Schould I change the bars of memory at the same time? Of memory should what type of module I take?

    3. What can I do with the old memory modules?

    Thank you in advance,
    Vladimir

    Hello

The fact is that you can upgrade the memory maximum: 1024MB.
In this case, you can use the max 2x512MB memory modules.

I've studied a bit and found these compatible memory modules:
    PC2100 128 MB (PA3126U - 1 M 12)
    PC2100 256 MB (PA3127U - 1 M 25)
    PC2100 512 MB (PA3164U - 1 M 51)

  • Satellite 2410-303 - I can he move to 2 GB of RAM?

    Hey

I have Toshiba Satellite 2410-303 and I want to upgrade the RAM.
This work Satellite 2410-303 2 x 512 MB (1 GB max) DDR1 266 MHz (PC2100). Today is not easy to buy that RAM, and 1 GB is not.
    I think the BIOS update, but on the [main site | http://ce.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?LNG=20&service=CE&selC fulltext = 8 & selFamily = 192 & selSeries = 116 & selProduct 3 95 = & selShortMod = 200 & language = null & selOS = null & selTyp e = null & yearupload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = allMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = null & selectedLanguage = null & type = null & pag e = 1 & ID = 22031 & DISO =-1 & driverLanguage = 42]

Is there nothing that contains the new BIOS.
I have now, I'm not if update BIOS give me the possibility to expand to 2 or more GB of RAM.

Maybe someone can help me and find out what effect update to give a new BIOS.

    Good bye

    Hello!

Well buddy, new BIOS doesn t improve the maximum capacity of RAM so it s not necessary to update the BIOS.
In addition, the Satellite 2410-303 supports up to 1 GB of RAM. If you already have the maximum RAM capacity.

In your case I would update the BIOS only if you have some problems with the laptop. If you can find t a change log on the Toshiba site is not available.
Last but not least never touch a running system. ;)

    Good bye

  • Satellite 2410 won't see the new 250 GB hard drive

I am trying to upgrade the Toshiba 30 GB hard drive that came with the unit to a Western Digital Scorpio Blue 250 GB EIDE drive.
I get out the swap the 30 GB to 250 GB put in a bootable XP SP3 CD version and nothing - no sign that power came to training.
The CDROM is trying to write files on the hard disk, but nothing happens.

Same thing happens when I try to use the pack of 3 CD of Toshiba or the Norton Ghost recovery CD.
The computer does not see the drive. Put the old 30 GB drive and it starts right now.

My BIOS settings show set up for EIDE and boot from the CDROM. What I'm missing?

    Hello

It seems that the BIOS does not recognize the new HARD drive, I suppose that it s too big
Satellite 2410 series is old and I guess that it will not support larger 120 GB HARD drive because of the 28-bit LBA s

So try with the smallest HARD drive like 80 or 100 GB.

  • Satellite 2410: display broken - need a new

Info me please on the cheapest replacement display solution. My toshiba has a 1024 x 768 inside Philips. Where and what prices are the lowest. Once it must be replaced, it can be upgraded to higher resolution?

I also have battery needed, possibly a greater capacity than that initially included.

    Built in Wifi-BT card?

All necessary parts may be a broken laptop or I would by a S2410 broken with good display and battery.

    Thank you

    [email protected]

Well, all compatible parts that you can buy the Toshiba ASP in your country.
But be aware that the screen of the laptop is a portable more expensive parts. Another possibility is to buy the same unit of second hand or a laptop with good screen features. In this case, you should check the special offers at eBay.

As far as I know there are a lot of portable Satellite 2410. It s a great series. But the laptop has been delivered with a 15.1 TFT color screen. It is important that the screen should fit into the framework.

If you want to check what parts are available for your device so you can visit the Toshiba site options & accessories.

  • Extension memory on the Satellite 2410

    Hello

I intend to expand the memory of my Satellite 2410 601. It has 256 MB DDR at the present time. I plan on using a memory module 256 more to extend the total memory to 512 MB.

I want to know is whether I can use one of the DDR memory module available in the market? Is there compatibility problems?

    Hello

    You know this site?
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=5548&ft=m&St=3

Here you can find details on the compatible memory modules for Satellite 2410 601.

It seems that the laptop is able to manage the PC2100 200 pin memory (266 MHz) DDR SODIMM!
You can upgrade the memory up to 1 GB (2 x 512 MB) max

    > Are there compatibility problems?
You should generally have compatibility problems. It is only important that you use the supported modules.

  • Can I go by Satellite 2410-303 with 120 GB of HARD drive

    Hello
    I have a Satellite 2410-303 (acquired in 2002) with a 30Gb HD (MK3018GAS, 4200 RPM).

I want to upgrade this drive with a Toshiba one with 120 GB (MK1234GAX, 5400 RPM). These HDs have the same type of bus, so it should be no problem with that, but how do I know if the ability will be recognized by the BIOS, and if there is no heat problem?

    Thank you for your response.

    Laurent

    Hello

The heat should t be a problem, but the size of the HARD drive. It s a really huge difference between 30 and 120 GB.
In my opinion, the BIOS will not recognize the HARD drive, but I can't say for sure
So I recommend that you test it HARD and please we report the results

Someone has updated the old 1700-400 Satellite with 80 GB HARD drive, and it works!
Maybe your 120 GB HARD drive will work also successfully crossed ;) finger
