Satellite 300 CDT - need to update BIOS

Looking for a driver to update BIOS for Satellite 300CDT model PA1261EYX-FR95 that I bought in France a few years ago. Or, would like to know the reference of 128 MB memory module

Hello

Please check this site for the upgrade of the BIOS:
http://www.toshiba-tro.de/subpage/BIOS.html

In addition, you can use these memory modules:
PA2039U 16 MB
PA2043U 32MB
PA2044U 64 MB
PA2054U-MS 128 MB

I recommend you to search the web site for this memory module or check Ebay in

Good bye

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A120 and I need to update the bios of a change in cpu cause.
The laptop works very well, but for some reason any with the new processor fan runs always full.

A lot, I searched but found nothing.
The model number is PSAC1E-0QL04CG3 of ideas where I can find the bios?

    THX in advance,
    John

    Hello

First of all: update BIOS doesn t help you.
Why do you think that BIOS update should help reduce the activity of fan?

I guess that your new processor is faster. Right?
So it offers more performance and this leads to higher heat dissipation... so finally the CPU must be cooled and this can be done only if the cooling module would turn faster you agree with me?

By the way: the update of the BIOS is on the page of the Toshiba UE driver. Since the satellite Pro A120 is very old series, you will need to search for drivers in area Archive (Type of product-> Archive)

  • Need drivers and other stuff for my old Satellite 300 CDT

    Hello! Merry Christmas &
I just got an old Satellite 300CDT for you me used to a laptop before I buy a new one.
Can someone help me to download a manual, drivers or something else for this laptop.
I can't find anything on the sites of Toshiba.

    Hi Mervyn,

Click on Support and downloads - download files to open the download page.

Product Type - click on the archived files
    Family - click on Satellite-Archive
Series of products, click on Satellite 3XX
In the model - click Satellite 300

Note that you may need to click on 'research based other products' first on the download page, depending on how you are registered on the Toshiba site.

  • I need to update BIOS on Satellite L750?

Received the message of Tempro following earlier:
This TEMPRO alert is to inform you of an update of the driver for your specific laptop model. This is based on the release date of the original software.
This Bios update adds functionality to your system

Download zip is version 2.70 and on the audit of the system, I have version 2.30 installed on 23/03/2011, even if only, I bought this laptop on the 18/04/2012

Probably Tembro has identified some improvements that could be made in updating, but * I just can't find it "an increase in the feature" this update provides * and if I need it because I'm not aware of any problems. Everything works perfectly.
Sorry to waffle on, but in short, should I upgrade or not?

    Any advice appreciated,
    See you soon,.
    Anthony

N ° if everything works perfectly don't change anything.
My advice to you is: remove tempro system and be happy. I'm two years old P500 with BIOS original and original pilots (own recovery image installation) and I always use it with the factory settings. It works perfectly.

All the updates you need are updated Windows (updates) and updates of the antivirus application.

    No more than that.

  • Need help updating Bios dc7800 Compact Mini Tower: ROM CAB missing or damaged

I need help, updated the BIOS on my HP dc7800 CMT. I get this error message:

The current version of my BIOS is: 786F1 v01.04 2007-07-18

I am running Windows 7 64-bit Ultiate. I noticed on the page (linked above) software, it mentions most of the flavors of Windows 7 64-bit, but it does not mention Win 7 ULTIMATE 64-ditch.

    Here's what I did:

    (1) computer restarted in safe mode

    (2) connected as administrator

    (3) Task Manager began to ensure that all applications and most of the services have been arrested

3 (a) as an additional precaustion, I even stopped Windows Defeneder

    (4) double clicked on sp53611.exe and let it install the software.

    (5) This opens a web page. I clicked on the link which was under the Bio update to a windows environment.

    (6) the process has started, but then I got the above error.

Any ideas on what to do next?

Is it possible that the BIOS cannot be updated because the software does not support windows 7 64 bit ULTIMATE?

Thank you in advance. I have a new graphics card today (Radeon HD 6570 - who has been recommended by Mr. Paul Tikkanen, thank you), and I guess I should have my current BIOS a bit, no?

    Hello:

There should be no need to update the BIOS, if everything is working properly.

If you want to update the BIOS, you must use the built in Flash ROM of system menu in the BIOS.

It is the safest and easiest way to Flash the BIOS.

All you need is a USB stick formatted with the FAT 32 file system.

Download the latest BIOS update, then run it.

You should get a page of instructions.  On this page, you want the option F10 system flash rom and you should see a summary of BACK flash folder view.

Copy all the files in this folder on your USB.

Plug the drive into the usb port, restart the PC and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, press the F10 key to access the BIOS.

There will be a menu to System Flash ROM

What to choose and it should see the BIOS update files on the usb flash drive.  Then follow the instructions on the screen to proceed to the update of the BIOS.

  • Satellite Pro A300 (PSAG9E) - after updating BIOS Windows will not start

Restart went well after update BIOS and Windows XP logo appears loads for a few seconds then a beep and restart - last good known or start Windows normally same effect.
Reboot back to start - this is a new laptop - using the BIOS of Toshiba s official download site.

Quite annoyed to try to find a way to upgrade or downgrade the BIOS.
Took battery and RAM to see if I can delete it?

    Any ideas anyone?

I think you mean BIOS * update * and do not upgrade ;)
    An upgrade is not possible

However, you can try to remove the battery and the AC adapter and wait an hour. After that, reconnect the battery and the AC adapter and try to start Windows.
Moreover I would load the default settings in the BIOS before starting Windows.

If it doesn't work, it seems that your ROM module needs to be reflashed. In this case an ASP can help you.

  • Satellite L850 PSKG6A: need to update the graphics driver to play games

    Hello

I played a few games on my Satellite L850, but some games says I need to update my video card driver. Auto detect Intel said that my video card software has been changed.

Is it possible to update my video card without any problems.
    Thank you

    Model: Satellite L850 PSKG6A-00R00H

    Hello

The laptop supports a graphic chip Intel HD 4000.
Usually, you could use and download the page Intel graphics driver.

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?lang=eng & changeLang = true & dId = 22376 DWNL

    It is the zip package.
To update the driver unzip the package first.
Then go to Device Manager, choose the graphics card, choose set to update driver.
Now you must point to the unzipped folder containing the driver files.
    Apply and finish :)

  • Defective spare battery - seller says I need to update BIOS - advice needed

    Any advice will be appreciated.

I bought a spare online battery for my laptop. Since the replacement of the battery, the PC has increased its noise level (IE more often that otherwise seems overwork), so I did a "HP Battery Check" and the result States "one or several cells don't work properly. I contacted the seller, and they say I need to update my BIOS.

I'm a little worried about it for several reasons:
    1. the software clearly indicates that the battery is not working properly.
    2. the computer and all other software works well.
    3. I have never played with before BIOS and after googling "update of the BIOS", almost all suggest "DO NOT go" unless: you know what you do / the problem is clearly a related problem of BIOS (HP State diagnostics is the battery... and shows no system other problems).

I'm ok with the replacement of hard drives, RAM etc and treat fairly confident with most software and hardware problems, but I never tried to update a BIOS... and as I need my laptop (and all software running on this subject at the moment) and do not want to go through the stress of venturing into uncharted territory on a current PC - I'm more tempted to just buy another battery from a different company and put this to a bad experience online, as the seller does not simply want for refund or Exchange (as much as the cost of replacing the battery... still!... compared to the opening of a world of problems after trying to update a BIOS which seems to work very well anyway!).

As I said, any advice would be really appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    James

PS No. knew software or hardware has been installed since the replacement of the battery

Details of the laptop: HP G70 111EA laptop, Intel Core Duo T5800 @ 2.00 GHz, 3 GB RAM, Vista Home Premium (32 bit).

If the purchased battery has been specified in the appropriate type for your computer, I see no reason why a BIOS update would make a difference. More likely, the seller hope you will turn your computer into a brick by updating the BIOS, making it a moot issue bad battery.

Before you start, I would do anything I can to put in place from an outside source if the battery is actually defective. If you do not know someone with a similar laptop, a computer store or from taking the battery might check what said you that your software. A bad cell in a battery is usually obvious by a voltage drop so that the battery either distributes the specified voltage or it is not.

If the battery is really bad, they know you ship the battery to them (signature required) and then proceed to cancel any credit card (or other method of payment online product/service) charges. While online sales generally operate at profit margins very tight, which, in itself, does not not to honour a request for an exchange of the product. Stop payment on an item usually attracts attention.

  • Satellite Pro U200: unable to update BIOS to v.3.70 - WIN

Model No.: Satellite Pro U200 PLUA1E
    OS: Vista Business SP2

Try to update the BIOS to v3.70

When I run P0044v370, I get a Windows Script Host message:

    "Script:

I want to update the BIOS before the upgrade from 1 GB to 4 GB of memory. Also my U200 Pro keeps crashing and whenever before it restarts, I get a message saying something like "try to install the latest version of the BIOS" (it is not on the screen very long sorry can't be more accurate).

I don't have have the recovery CD, I'm trying to boost performance because it runs very slowly.

Everything is - I am in your forum people good hands! Thanks in advance.

You have what Windows OS installed.
    It is Win XP?

Update the BIOS needs an installation of the common Modules, so don't forget not that the common Modules are installed or this software update.
The CM is on the page of the European driver Toshiba

In addition, the P0044v370.exe unpacks the package I recommend creating a folder on the desktop and to decompress the files in P0044v370.exe first. Then move to this new folder and run the exe file in the folder.

  • Satellite A-C50-1JU - manually updated BIOS

    Hi Forum,

is their any chance of updating the bios manually? The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C50-A-1JU with part number: PSCJEE. The Toshiba Service Station brings to each time a service error. Another update from the site Web DM10S140.exe crashes every time. I tried the compatibility mode, startet it as administrator, but never the actual accident itself. Operating system windows 8.1 and anti-virus is disabled. What I have now? Thanks for any help.

Edit, sorry postet in the wrong section please move: (.)

I think Toshiba Service Station is a tool not so important but interesting. If your laptop works well and stabile you don't need updates. Maybe it sounds silly now, but I use two laptops from Toshiba with the factory settings and without updates. The first is 5 years old and it is running Win7. The other is model Tecra, 3 years and also preloaded with Win7.

All I have install Windows are updated. The first thing I did after installing recovery image is the deactivation of these tools like Toshiba Service Station.
Believe me, you can live without it.

In the end I have to say that I'm also sure that updating the BIOS won't help you any. The BIOS update has nothing to do with the Toshiba Service Station feature.

    Hello

Driver Toshiba page provides two versions of the BIOS: one for Vista 5.10 and one for XP 1.50
Both are available on the page so what's the problem?

You must choose a laptop right dude! Your Satellite M70-340 seems to be a part of the PSM70 series! Check it out!

Something more: on the page, you will also find the XP installation instructions. You must follow these steps and you need to install the drivers in this order. This is important if you want to use the phone with all the features of Toshiba!
