• Windows recognize 3 GB instead of 4 GB in Satellite A100-451

  Recently, I bought 2 memory modules (DDR2 SDRAM SODIMM 667 Mhz 2 GB each) and put them in my laptop
  (Satellite A100-451 reference: PSAARE-04501SEN)

  But Windows and laptop say Everest has only 3 GB of memory total.
  Memory modules have been checked in HP Pavilion dv6820ea, then memory has been recognized as 4 GB.

  Anyone know what is the problem and how to solve?

  P.S. Site Toshiba says: maximum of expansion memory: 4 096 MB

  Some of my other software no longer work.

  Because the HARD disk is already partitioned, I would install XP on the second partition and set up a dual boot system.

  Of course, you can install a XP on more partition.
  But I do not recommend to install the XP on the partition existing E:\ but to create a new partition on the HARD drive.
  It s very simple to create the partition under Vista OS. Go to disk management and shrink a partition E:
  Then the 3rd other partition can be created on the empty space.

  Then you could just run the install of XP and could install XP on a partition that is created again.

  usually the system restore the c: partition fair DVD formats, so if you have two separate partitions, the restore DVD should leave the D: partition intact.
  In your case I would choose point 6. (Operating system restore) that supposedly only restores the operating system, which means that it scratches the C: drive...

  How fast is the hard drive on this laptop? He said SMART 160 GB, but does not specify a speed, although I'm guessing its 5400 RPM.

  I found some info that the rotation of the HARD drive is 4200 RPM. I'm not sure 100% on speakers but usually if laptop a harman/kardon speakers it is not in the specification but for A100-451, it is not the case. This info, you can get the garage directly.

  BT is not available, and it shouldn't surprise you because most of the A100 models are supplied without BT module. You can use any time key USB BT. IT is simple to use and really cheap.

  I s Don t think possible. It will give you a message if the battery goes empty, but with this "beep" you have no chance.

  I looked on my machine, I have a qosmio with Vista, but the powermanagers are similar. And I couldn t find anything.

  I bought my Satellite 100-451 in May 2007.
  Windows Internet Explorer often didn't work since the beginning, so I downloaded Firefox and have used it since then.
