Satellite A110 Pro (PSAACE) keyboard problem

I had the version 2.00 of BIOS on this laptop and when I download the new version 6.00 and updated the bios, my keyboard goes crazy, half a keyboard type 3 words a once when I press the 1 key. I have the backup of the old 2.00 version, but when I try to restore it says program * "BIOS update failed! Do not flash the BIOS image. The current system is not supported in the interface. Error code:-151 "*"

can I find somewhere older version of bios for this laptop?

How did solve you this? Could you share your solution?

    Hello

I just bought this new Satellite Pro.

I have installed all the drivers and updated the bios to the latest version, but I still have the same problem: when I write, many times my keyboard writes double letters (for example, all ten words written keyboard a letter double, as "keybboard").

I tried also to change the properties of the keypad on the control panel of Windows 8, but nothing has changed.

I called support, but they just told me that I have to bring my laptop in a helpdesk: but I need my new computer to work, and I wouldn't be happy to lose at least 4 weeks!

And, support told me that, if the laptop has no hardware problem, I would have to pay for assistance...
    .
So, this is my first experience and unlucy in the world of Toshiba...
Is there someone who can give me some advice to solve this problem?
It may be a problem running on the new laptops, and someone knows how to fix this?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi guys,.

As far as I know that these similar keyboard problems in the past could be resolved by the BIOS updated.
I found the new BIOS for Satellite Pro C50 - A

Another question: If someone has done to test a USB external keyboard?
In the case where the external USB keyboard would work correctly, this issue isn't associated with BIOS or keyboard controller but probably his keyboard fault internal.

  • Satellite Pro C660 - keyboard problems

This issue is one for computer laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-1UX running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.

Some of the keys on Board (E, T, U, I, O, A, B, N, and the Enter key) fail to register.
All keys tested so far seem to register normally.

When you connect an external USB keyboard, all the keys work properly. When you use the integrated keyboard or external USB keyboard, however, pressed some key is selected for about 2-3 seconds so that his character register. This makes typing incredibly slow and is naturally unacceptable.

I checked the Manager of devices looking for errors, but can't find one. The keyboard driver is classified properly installed and functional, and driver update indicates that the latest version is in already in service.

I've also scanned for viruses using Spybot and Malware bytes and also with laptops own antivirus software pre-installed. All the analyses of the entire system refer a none found the message of threat.

I read that the keyboards on these machines can sometimes be problematic, which could respond only to edge, some function keys. The fact that all the external USB keyboard keys work seems to confirm this. However, the fact that the keyboard both onboard and external is affected by the same slow pressure might also suggest a bios problem - but that this laptop computer is several years old and working perfectly, why bios suddenly would cause this problem.

I visited the Toshiba site and based on this laptop with the part number: PSC0ME-02100SEN, I have concluded (rightly or wrongly) that the correct bios download version is 1, 70 - WIN, only when I read the following installation instructions http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9502M10000R01.htm bios
I became quite concerned, like installing the bios update seems far from simple.

Does anyone know if it is possible to download and install the bios right through an update automated versus manual download and installation step by step, which, if not carried out as planned, could make the laptop completely unusable.

Has anyone reading this post experienced similar problems with this make and model laptop and was able to return successfully to the good operating condition. If so, how?

All constructive advice would be welcome.

    > When you connect an external USB keyboard, all keys work correctly.

This means that the keyboard controller is OK and the internal keyboard is defective.
To resolve this problem of keyboard, internal keyboard needs to be replaced.

    > However, the fact that the keyboard on board as external is affected by the same keypress slow could also suggest a bios problem - but this laptop computer is several years old and works perfectly, why bios suddenly would cause this problem.

    Hmm I n t think so
The keyboard delay can be bound to parameters.
You can check this in the control panel-> keyboard

    Hi Olbur

I didn't find any official document on this subject, as you say, known issue. Can you please send a link?

I have the Satellite L20 and there is not much difference for Satellite Pro L20 and I have no such problems, but I'm interesting about this. The L20 keyboard is not the best one, but all the characters are not displayed correctly. Maybe you type fast. ;)

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L300.
The original keyboard started acting fuynny after, in my opinion, it was abandoned.
He began to record two characters on 1 button on a few letters and the '1' key was also acting as the tab key.

I decided to change the keyboard for a brand new, but nothing helps...
I'm a bit stuck now to know where to start troubleshooting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

    > The original keyboard started acting funny after that, in my view, it was abandoned.
If the laptop has been abandoned or not?
I think it's very important to know if the laptop has been abandoned or not because the other pieces of equipment that are likely to be affected.
I mean it would be possible that this keyboard or motherboard controller is affected due to the fall of the laptop.

I put t think that someone here might be able to help you if the laptop was dropped, then you should ask a technician for a verification of the material may be there is a party who is affected and must be replaced, but material must be checked to know

  • Satellite A-Z30-16F - keyboard problem

Hi, this is my first post in this forum

I have big problems with the keyboard on my Satellite Z30-A-16th.
Two keys have fallen and I can't get back in because the 'hooks' that hold the key are folded or dropped.
The worst is that the other two keys are 'loose' and sometimes 'stuck' or fall.

Anyone have the same problems with this keyboard? It's under warranty?

Should be covered by the warranty. I did have problems with the keys from the keyboard.

I already uncheck the filter keys and the problem persists. It's strange because it's the same thing with Ubuntu (also installed on this laptop).

All work equally well with a usb keyboard.

The problem comes from the sleep of the cat on the keyboard :)

    You have an idea?

    Sorry for my bad English

    Thank you very much
    Have a nice evening

    > All work equally well with a USB keyboard.

For me, looks like the keyboard would be defective.
The point is that if the USB keyboard is OK the problem may not be related to software settings.
    Therefore, hardware failure.

Get in touch with the Toshiba ASP in your country and ask for a check of keyboard and replacement

    Welcome them

    Hello Jim

My colleague from work the same As model of mobile and he uses it to Web design and type a few codes to our database. From time to time, I'm sitting near his office and several times I looked at what he do exactly. Believe me that there are no such problems.

It is important to say that his book is preinstalled with recovery image and slightly modified for our enterprise security needs.

Can you please tell us since when you noticed this problem with keyboard? Are you also using recovery image and have you ever tried to fix this somehow? Have you noticed any other strange questions about your Satellite phone as a disk busy, high utilization of the processor or something similar?

  • Satellite L300 - 2-4 - keyboard problem

Suddenly I could not hit a few keys on the keyboard of my laptop.
With the on-screen keyboard, it is possible to enter all the keys.

So I'm looking for a new keyboard.

I found a lot of amazon.co.uk and ebay.com, but none is the same room-no.: NSK-TAE0L.

I would like to ask if any other keyboard with an another piece-no could correspond to my laptop.
    Thanks in advance

For the most part these reference numbers are used internally as an abbreviation and it of possible that different online retailers would provide the same keyboard using different reference.
In any case, I guess you should be able to get this search internal keyboard for Satellite L300 / keyboard L305

You also have the possibility to contact a service provider allowed in your country to order these parts.

    Hello dickie1967,

Make sure that Windows did recognize your external device properly:

Open the Device Manager and look for, if you have a double aspect of the USB keyboard. If you do, please remove the item that has a circular yellow sign with an exclamation point.

Here's a photo showing my keyboard with backlit connector but no option in my bios

Check this Toshiba document how to enable or disable the keyboard backlight:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ1A037R0000R01.htm

the keyboard backlight must be enabled or disabled using FN + Y or FN + Z key
It depends on the configuration of keyboard language.
The BIOS settings didn't need to be changed.

  • Satellite L850-11 q - keyboard problem

After I bought my laptop a month ago, I realized after a certain period of time that I can not change the function of the keys on this subject. It's really annoying to press Alt + Fn + 'which is supposed to be F4. At the same time, I'm a big fan of RTS (but I don't want to advertise something here, so I won't mention games).

To play, well, I need to Shift + 'which is supposed to be FX' but it's impossible because I can't do it with one hand. Just try pressing alt + Fn + 'which is supposed to be FX. Not same Sharpkeys could help me. I need help with this please. Why is this feature it at all?

Thank you very much for your answers.

I would like to say thank you, if there was a reason for that. I managed to find out for myself. Never mind. You may have the opportunity to get a few points the next time.
