  Portable Satellite A200 series needs a BIOS update to the XP version if a Windows XP operating system has been installed. Please check the European driver Toshiba page and you will find the good BIOS XP.

  After update BIOS your FN buttons should functions still

  I have the Satellite A200 - 19L (PSAEC) with nVidia * GeForce Go 7300.
  The laptop comes with Windows Vista Home. I went down the system to Windows XP
  Professional with Service Pack 2.

  Its ok except for the fact that now I can't connect the computer to my TV (I used to connect with _RGB-RGB_ cable, my TV a slot RGB, TV is a Samsung LCD). With Vista, it was very easy to connect, but now I can't. And now I have this problem. I can't make this connection.

  I installed the forceware 156.55 and my driver version is 6.14.11.5655.
  If anyone knows how I can make this connection please answer.

  I m not 100% sure if my advice will help you to solve this problem, but usually you have to upgrade the BIOS to the XP version if you want to use XP on this Vista machine.
  In addition, you must install all the drivers of Toshiba in the right order

  Then you should be able to use the FN + F5 key combination which allows to switch to the external display as a second monitor or TV device.

  My Mac Pro Radeon X 1900 XT is retired to my yard serious computer in my basement, but that goes back to the OEM Apple nVidia GeForce 7300 GT, brought encouraging results delivered with my Mac Pro.

  When I got the Mac Pro 2007, in 2009, I was running it in Mac OS 10.4.4.11 Tiger and Photoshop CS4 (11.0.0) would turn off the Open GL rendering when it detected the GeForce 7300 GT card stock, which was on the list of unsupported graphics nVidia GPU Adobe.   So, I bought a refurbished nine Apple Radeon X 1900 XT.  This card allowed to Photoshop CS4 and Bridge CS4 allow Open GL rendering.  Last year, the Radeon X 1900 XT graphics card created scratches on my screen when it is running hot and sometimes dual turns off just as I was working.  In addition, the computer was material freezes about once a day.   This morning the Mac Pro close its dual display, while I was working, and I had to make another cold cut in order to restart.  I then manually shut down the computer and doing a manual start so that Snow Leopard would use disk maintenance.

  I turned off the computer and pulled the Radeon X 1900 XT card and re-inserted the OEM Apple nVidia GeForce 7300 GT card.  Now I'm in Mac OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard with Photoshop CS4 (11.0.2) instead of Photoshop CS4 (11.0.0).

  Now, the update to Photoshop CS4, under the most recent operating system, allowing rendering Open GL instead of disable. Physical limitation of this graphics card is now fixed, so I see no reason to buy the ATI Radeon HD 5770 Graphics Upgrade Kit for my Mac Pro:

  Some of those who bought the Apple ATI Radeon HD 5770 will say that they always got the striping on their screen when the Radeon HD 5770 card was running hot, just like with the Radeon X 1900 XT.

  So far, Apple OEM nVidia GeForce 7300 GT works fine and I get no striping on my poster without shut-off or material display freezes.

  I'm happy to have made of Open GL to Adobe enabled with an OEM GPU graphic that works cool and requires no fan cooling anchored.  Apple OEM nVidia GeForce 7300 GT, for the Mac Pro, is on the list of Adobe to not support GPU for rendering of the Open GL under Photoshop CS4, so why is he now supported?  That is just one of the benefits of the Photoshop CS4 11.0.2 update?

  Also FYI, Adobe is not always announce or specify bug fixes in versions of update of an application, although sometimes they do.

I findout all the drivers for this model in the toshiba Web site but they drivers display put wrong for this model... very strange... Because my Geforce GO 7300 display hardware id and they have posted drivers for intel... I searched in the Nvidia site but no driver for this model... Can someone help me?

  The new HARD disk must have a SATA port and a 2.5 HARD disk. Each HARD drive with these specifications should work in your laptop.

  As Feliks, visit the Western Digital site for models. I think you would find a HARD drive you want.

  Try to install the driver for Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 after reinstallation of the entire system, but without success. Only safe mode is available after this pilot plant, tried with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 and with different drivers from Nvidia and Toshiba sites - same result always :(

  I have Toshiba Satellite A200 - 19L with OS WinXP (I found all drivers), but have a little problem with it:

  With previous (event with this under Win VISTA) Toshiba laptops when I was doing operations with a combination of Fn keys (for example Fn + F5 - for then between the LCD screen and an external display or a projector) I could see a few icons on the screen (for the example above, a series of 3 icons representing the LCD displays only the LCD + external display) External display only; the same was hapenning when you use Fn + F6 or F7 - brightness - I saw the brightness icon and a cursor moving upwards or downwards according to the used key combination).

  Now, with the XP drivers on my laptop, I have absolutely to the specific features of the Fn key combinations but HAVE a no. VISUAL CONTROL of them.

  Does anyone know HOW can I restore on the computer?

  I have the same problem. It worked before, until
  probably a windows update has been mess up with the function FN + F5.
  I tried to update the driver for the graphics card from NVIDIA. Who knows...
  I try so many things, but it does not work.

  When I press FN + F5, I have only the choice with the icon of the LCD screen. Until I'm OCR a and OCR + LCD screen (they disappeared).
  I wrote to TOSHIBA, but no response. I read on many forums that much laptop Toshiba you have this problem.

  When you start to just stay there. The worst part is that I can't kill the process, shut down the computer (with shut down or restart).

  I ve read your ad, but I wonder what you mean with "How can I reinstall WINDVD? Just uninstall it, take the drive where on Windvd and install again. It s another story if windvd shipped with the machine.
  The only chance would be to restore the whole system which means that you need to retrieve the recovery CD and reinstall the entire system, so you will have your back Windvd. (and it will work again)

  If you don t want to reinstall it, I suggest you to download videolan client of www.vlc.org which is a VERY GOOD player that plays almost all formats of video/audio and DVD´s, too.

  Please, comment on my thought, would be very interesting for me. :)

  It works fine but the FN keys (like e-mail, Volume etc.) do not work on my Touchpad.

  The Toshiba driver page provides two drivers touchpad;
  One of the Alps Electric and other Synaptics

  The Synaptics driver to set the properties and the touch pad control functions.
  The Alps Electric driver to set the properties and functions of mouse control.

  Check if both are installed properly
