  I put t know exactly why Toshiba has decided to only provide the recovery CD and not the driver CD with the laptop, but all the drivers that are preinstalled on the laptop are on the Toshiba driver page.   So I uninstalled the program and reinstalled the drivers I found here, on the Web at Toshiba Europe site.
  Now it works well.
  But now I have another problem.

  First, I tried to extend/duplicate(whatever, it does not really matter) my workstation via the VGA port.

  AFAIK the F4 (or Fn + F4) changes the output display.
