Satellite A200-19 decies is strong enough - cooler runs constantly

Hello

Last week, I have a Toshiba Satellite A200-19 decies. The laptop is very strong in my opinion. A chiller is running constantly and the other runs it sometimes. Or this noisy thing isn't a cooler?

Please help me and sorry for my bad English. I'm from the Germany.

Thank you
Arne

What do you mean with very strong? You compared this laptop by a similar that supports the same hardware configuration as the decies A200-19?

Do you run applications while running one of the cooling modules?
Please don t forget that the graphics card and the CPU must be cooled properly.
All parts of this produce a lot of heat, and that heat must be distributed!

  • Satellite L670-112 - fan is strong enough

    Hello!

So, I started having problems with my fan and I'm not sure but I think since I've updated the BIOS to version 1.50.

My fan is strong enough, and my CPU temp is always about 45-50 °, what should be normal, but my fan is still about 70%, and it is a bit noisy. And it goes over 90% when I open a movie or just to watch a video on youtube and it never goes down, I put my latpop to sleep and wait a little and restart my fan is functioning normally (normally like 65-70%) again.

So I thought trying to downgrade the BIOS, it can solve the problem, but I can't find the old version of the BIOS anywhere (the dust is certainly not the cause of the problem that my laptop is only 2 weeks old)?

Oh and Yes, use of PC is about 5-10%, never higher than 35%, so it isn't really a reason for my fan work that fast. When I opened a 3D application, I know it's normal for a fan to run fast, but even when I close it continues to turn on 90 to 100%.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Material generally new and powerful equipment need better cooling then more old so I think that it of normal that you notice any fan activity.

In addition, you can adjust the fan control in Windows power management. Here you can choose between different modes and set the fan a bit. Maybe it helps

On BIOS downgrade: it is not possible. If you want an older version of the BIOS, please contact an authorized service provider.

  • Satellite A200 - eblib.dll is not designed to run on windows

My laptop Satellite A200 started giving me warnings saying * eblib.*dll is not designed to run on windows or it contains an error.
The file has been deleted with combofix c:\programdata\xp.

    I need this file?

I checked with McAfee and Alvira antivirus plus several spyware and the laptop seems to be clean.
I had the same problem with odbc32.dll. Replaced by a copy from another computer vista laptop successfully.
    This file is needed?

The only info I have found says he is Compal Electronics, but does not say what he does or what component it uses.
Could someone send me a copy of this file, please!

    Thank you

    Hello

I discovered that eblib.dll belongs to EBLib of COMPAL ELECTRONIC dynamic links library.
To be honest I have never heard of this software on Toshiba laptops so I think you can remove or uninstall the system.
Also clean the registry with CCleaner several times

  • Satellite M70-192: its not strong enough

    Hey!

I have a little problem with my sound on Satellite M70 - 192 PM760, when I plug the cable jack instead of phones, and second shot (on the same cable) to the hi-fi unit the sound is not loud enough. The sound is 2 times more silent, then it should be.

My card its Realtek AC97 Audio v. 5.5 on my previous laptop, everything was ok and the sound is loud enough, so I conclude that something that something is wrong with the software or the sound card have some limitations. I have already downloaded all the latest drivers.

    Help, please!

    Hello

We're all ok. It is not a malfunction of the sound card or driver. I am sure that this problem occurs due to the settings in the "sound and audio devices" 99.9 percent.
This option you will find in the control panel.
Open sound and audio devices option and press the Advanced button.
You will find many controllers. You should check the controllers and replace it with the higher position.

  • Re: Satellite A200 - compatible graphics cards

    Hello

The nVidia GeForce Go 7300 Council (Toshiba part No. V0001000500) failed in my Satellite A200 computer laptop (PSAFCA-01K00J). I have removed the Board of Directors and am looking for a replacement. I notice that there other graphics more powerful cards now available, like the M76M ATI 512 MB (Toshiba part No. V000101740).

Someone has managed to replace their nVidia GeForce Go 7300 Board with something different?

Here's the A200 graphics cards that exist:

    V000100500-VGA-BOARD-nVIDIA-G72MV - ASSEMBLY, COUNCIL, VGA 128 MB
    V000101600 VGA VGA-BOARD-ATI-M76M - 256 MB ASSEMBLY, COUNCIL,
    V000101610 VGA VGA-BOARD-ATI-M72M - 128 MB ASSEMBLY, COUNCIL,
    V000101740 VGA VGA-BOARD-ATI-M76M - 512 MB ASSEMBLY, COUNCIL,

    See you soon,.

    > I see that there are some other, currently available more powerful graphics cards...
Don't you think that these graphics cards can be used safely? I mean you know that the cooling system has very limited cooling performance, right?

If something needs to be replaced on the mobile units it is highly recommended to replace it with the same party.

Satellite A200 is old enough laptop model, so if you need laptop with much more graphic performance, in my opinion, it's time for the new laptop computer. Difficulty this old piece of hardware, sell and buy a new one. This is my personal opinion.

  • Satellite A200 - no lights, no fans

    Hello world

I have a toshiba satellite a200-244, and after about 15 months of use it allows to turn off his own time. I have half of heart sought the problem but could not get through to the main problem that I discovered later was dust in the cooling system.
Anyway, shortly after it to close on its own I use to reactivate it and surprisingly enough it does not as hot as she sometimes did back in the day. Yesterday, it's same thing and it would not turn on back again. No light, no fans no response at all outside of a clicking noise from the motherboard which I will explain later.
I did my homework, checked the wall brackets, power and supported adapter on the power button while the battery was out and tried to turn on the cable alone. No response.
I open the aswell of laptop down to the motherboard (unchecked the aswell of cooling system) when I connect the power cable, it makes a noise clicking which is quite fast and hardly audible. (this isn't the hard drive or any other party than anything was unplugged)
I did some research, I think the motherboard is fried, but I would like to than some entries from you guys and if that is the case, what would be the best thing to do. I've never had a problem with my computer of this before madnitude and all the other before problems have been fixed by myself.
Any estimate of $$ suggestions is appreciated.
    Thank you

  • Graphics memory shared in a Satellite A200-1CK

Hello, I have a Satellite A200-1CK which has 2 GB of RAM and 256 MB graphics memory shared.

is there a way to check how my phone is currently using this 256 MB and you can manually change this?

for example, to define graphics for always using 128 MB memory if the laptop needs or not?

I already checked with google and I found a few sites that say you can change something like that in the BIOS but I can't find.

    Thank you

    Jeroen

    Hello

When I try to play a game that requires 128 MB graphic memory it does not even start. In theory I should be able to play the game, since I have enough memory. Or is it fake? Shared memory is perhaps not as real graphic memory. Can someone explain?

There are different reasons why starting a game doesn t.
Maybe a graphics driver is not compatible?
Generally shared memory graphics cards are not really designed for games. Of course, some older games would go but with the games recent very strong graphics cards needs.

I agree with alphaleader. Shared memory will be allocated automatically. She shared max value depends on the amount of installed RAM memory.

  • No backlight on the screen of the Satellite A200 - 14 d

    Hello!

Since yesterday I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite A200 - 14 d. I left my laptop in full of energy and on the current for a while (about 30-40 min). When I got home, it was in standby mode (I'm with XP, btw). I pressed a key on the keyboard to exit this state of power, but all of a sudden the screen blinked, half of it went dark, then the other is too much and that's it. I thought it may have overheated or something like that, even if it was lit for an hour or less... I turned it off using THE button, left for about 15 minutes cool down a bit... After that I turned it on, but it's the same thing. While the Toshiba logo was displayed, the screen does the same thing and it went dark... But what I've noticed ofter an hour invesitgating, that he was not completely black. I thougth the display is off, but when I took the my lamp office and turned on the screen I was surprised to find, that I could see my office and the other stuff. Very dark, but everything was visible, even I was able to read things with black letters on white background... But when I turned off the light, everything was dark again... I tried to run some programs and everything works great - no problems at all except that I could not see most of the things that have happened to the screen.

I searched with Google and I found the same description of my problem in a site for laptop repairs. Here, the author says that it is a very common problem by books and it was because of what we call "FL inverter Board" or something like that, which is responsible for the backlight of the screen. Whitout the backlight, you can see a very bleak picture of your office, bootscreen etc.

My question is - what would I do? I am with an international warranty and I'm in Germany now (I have not bought the laptop of the Germany). I've heard of the hotline and a courier who comes and takes your laptop and need to service... Can someone explain to me step by step what I'm supposed to do?

    Thanks in advance!

    PS: Sorry for my English.

  • Strange problem with my Satellite A200

    Hello

I have a problem with my Satellite A200-1DY.

In the last two days, this occurs twice. When I start the laptop there are three icons, systray, speaker, battery and network icon, and then, the laptop stops and does not work. I can't use the mouse or keyboard and the cooler fan does not work.

When I put my hand the area where it is the processor it is hot enough. I can't reset the laptop. At first I have to disconnect from the mains. After that I restart the laptop. The cooler fan starts very quickly and it removes a lot of heat from the CPU area.

    What can I do?
Sorry for my horrible English and marry Christmas.

    Hello

At first, I must say that your English is very good and understandable. Now after this compliment go back to the problem described. ;)

I have too many Satellite A200 and I installed Vista and Windows XP Home edition, several times and never noticed a similar problem. I must say that all my tests were with the own operating system preinstalled.

In your case, it is not easy to say why this happens, but it turns out that some process must be loaded and at this stage of the computer cell blocks. Usually, if you keep the Start button / stop for 5 seconds, book it should be OFF.

You must understand that no one knows we what's your personal operating system configuration and if there are some applications you have installed the last days. Exact an application that runs in the background may not be loaded properly and blocks for laptop.

What should do? You can enter MSCONFIG and check all entries of Systemstart. Try to disable all the stuff, you don't need and try it again. Maybe you will be lucky and find out if there is something that starting cell blocks.

Sorry, but it's really not possible to say why this happen. If you want you can try to roll back the OS to an earlier time until it starts in the hope that the BONE will be work as before.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Satellite A200-1BJ tends to overheat and cutting everything in game

    Hello

I have a problem with my laptop. He has a tendency to overheat and shut down when I play games. CPU was just before 107C the emergency stop.

Fan works, but fan speed gets ever faster from 70 ° C to stop. (I know it can go faster, because when I flashed the Bios, he spends at maximum speed.)

So my question is: is there a way I can force fan to move at full speed?

    Hi Jason

    > I have problem with my laptop. He has a tendency to overheat and shut down when I play games. CPU was just before 107C the emergency stop.
I agree with you. It really looks like an overheating problem.
If the internal temperature reaches a critical level then the laptop stops automatically to prevent the equipment from damage.

    Why a laptop overheat?
Well, there are various reasons such warm-ups.
First of all it is possible that don t cooling modules work correctly because of the dust and debris inside the laptop.

You must also make sure that there is enough free space around the laptop to ensure fresh air circulation.

At the other hand as a graphic driver non-Toshiba could cause an overheating problem.
This is why you should always use a graphics driver for the Toshiba driver page.

Please check the points mentioned and maybe you might know the reason for the overheating problem.

    See you soon

  • Satellite A200 PSAECE - fan of Windows 7 (& BIOS)

    Dear community,

I installed the latest version of BIOS Toshiba offers for Windows Vista (v.1.80 21/08/07) and I'm running on Windows 7 on a Satellite A200 PSAECE.

The fan is very VERY strong. I've heard talk of a solution would be to return to a previous version of the BIOS but I can't find it anywhere.

No indication of how to proceed? Something must be done about it, cannot even bring the laptop to the cause of the library of people complain. (The fan was MUCH less noisy before...)

    Thank you!

    G.

    Hello

Go to the Windows 7 power management and change the settings of the most friendly battery.
There should also be an option that decrease the performance of the processor, and this could slow down the cooling performance.

    Welcome them

  • Re: Satellite A200-1ZF heats

    Hi all.

I brought this laptop Satellite A200-1zf about 1 year ago and 2 months is so hot!
I mean it's hot enough that you can't put your hands under the cooler.

I cleaned the cooler, but without result.

Do you know why he keep warming in this way?

    Hello

    > I brought this laptop Satellite A200-1zf about 1 year ago and 2 months is so hot!
This means that the temperature was very high in the past

Well, most often at that temperature arises at a higher level than due clogged cooling modules.
Dust and debris would prevent fans of good working condition and this could lead to a higher internal temperature.

You can try to clean the cooling modules with a jet of compressed air.
In addition, you must make sure that there is enough free space around the laptop in order to get good fresh air circulation.

If this doesn't help then I would recommend contact the technician of the laptop.
The technician can disassemble the laptop and can renew the thermal grease which is placed between the CPU and cooling modules.

  • Require BIOS 1.8 for Satellite A200 - 13M (PSAE6) - fan activity

    Hi you all,.

    I've recently updated my Satellite A200 - 13 M (PSAE6) with 2, 20 - Win Vista bios.
I have a higher activity of the fan and therefore, much more noise!
    The fan now comes 47-48 ° C, which is lower than earlier (~ 50 ° C).

I would go back to the previous version of bios that proved be smoother!
Could someone help me get the version 1, 8 - Win vista.

What are the main changes from v1.8 v2.2 except the most aggressive fan control?

    Kind regards.

    Maxim

    Hi, Maxim

In my opinion, the cooling modules run more strong and faster to prevent the internal hardware for example the GPU and the CPU from overheating.
To me, it seems that fan chart that is stored in the BIOS has been updated and this is why the propellers rotate faster for the reason mentioned above

The driver Toshiba offer page only the most recent BIOS updates BIOS old versions are not available on the site and I think you need to contact your ASP local for a BIOS more soon.

Unfortunately, I put t see any other opportunities to get an older version BISO, different for you notebook series.
