  I think that's not a junk Toshiba. Center backup and restore is designed by Microsoft and Toshiba has nothing to do with it. So I think you need to get in touch with the guys at Microsoft to ask for a solution, or there may be an update for this tool.

  Salvation was using my Satellite P100-113 fine the other day and then the screen went white environment of use. Now he just tries but fails to restart all the time.

  If the keyboard and mouse have fed or you could see the HP logo on the screen, I would say that you could check the hard drive and see if it has been disconnected. But if nothing lights up except the fans, my hunch is that it could be a power supply motherboard problem or power.

  Because your PC is only 5 months old, it should still be in warranty. I would call HP for this problem.
