  Lighting can be turned on and off in Toshiba HWSetup.

  But I think that the two buttons don t work because they are not configured correctly.
  Check the configuration!

  You can find it in _Toshiba-> Optimize-> Toshiba Assist button account support_

  Here you have to click the button then could assign the .exe file to be executed by pressing this button.

  Recently I bought this laptop, works great except one problem...

  There is touchbutton for LED switching power.
  When I close or put the laptop in sleep, this button does not work like that but activates or disables the sound.

  I'm using Vista, I wonder if there is any patch or something for this problem.

  The webcam works fine with the Camera Assistant Software.

  I have Toshiba Satellite A300-17N. Yesterday, I noticed that my CPU does not change its multiplier under load.
  I have used programs like premium 95 and Orthos CPU load and programs such as CPU - Z and Everest.

  I have a Satellite A300 only recently begun to close without warning. I first thought this may be a virus problem, but after the execution of various virus programs I excluded it as likely a cause. Thinking that the problem can be caused by a recently installed program, I did a restore of the system without result. The problem got worse for a few weeks, and after a lot of tests and trials, I now have the following problem:. The laptop runs without problem on the farm, but if I plug my adapter, it stops a few seconds. It will run on the network in SafeMode for hours, but if I try to start it with hands attached, it will go beyond the start of Toshiba for the "bars" screen and then stop. The battery is charged, but only when the laptop is turned off.

  I have already spend a lop of time on it and have tried different adapters to exclude the possibility that it may be defective. I also disassembled the unit and clean the fans, etc.

  After reading some suggestions on different forums, I'm now trying to upgrade the bios (there is one available for this model), but have now run into a brick wall. I continue to receive various error messages when I try to update the bios. 1 insyde flash can't load the driver... He told me to run as administrator (I am), and the suggestion that it is for me, it's that I can't upgrade the Bios on battery... BUT that's all that I can run. The only time that it is running on the electric network is in safe mode, and then it won't let me upgrade the Bios. Help Help Help. The laptop is about to become landfill. The only thing I haven't done is reset to the factory setting. Suggestions for my bios problem please...

  In my opinion the update of the BIOS would not help you to solve this power off of the issue.
  Even if the BIOS is not updated, the laptop must turn off not with the AC adapter.

  To be honest, I think the problem might have something to do with the motherboard.

  Usually laptops would be shut down automatically due to a higher temperature, but in your case, I doubt its problem of temperature from the laptop stops immediately start the operating system.

  Back to BIOS update issue:
  As far as I know, the adapter must be connected in order to update the BIOS. In SafeMode it s not possible to update the BIOS.

  I not quite sure if faulty RAM could bring this maybe not RAM problem, but of course, you can try to start the device using a module of RAM only Mr. you test the two Rams in each slot.

  If the CD/DVD drive is not ejected automatically by pressing the button and then try to open it manually using a small thin object. Insert it into the tiny hole near CD. Diving DVD eject button.
  This should allow you to open the ODD.

  I have a few looks to round in various forums and found no answer to everything.

  I have the Satellite A300-1GC and had (from last night) vista on it. As caused Vista
  a lot of problems with different programs, I decided to get rid of him.

  The problem is now--if I stick my XP installation CD it it bed "press any key to boot from CD".
  Do that and then nothing happens. The CD read head stops going back and forward
  but nothing happens at all. Not even the beginning of the blue installation screen.

  Any ideas where this comes from?

  The CD-rom can also be run in AHCI mode (can a CD player what do I do?) and requires drivers?
  I have tried various CD XP - neither work. The last one I had was with SP3 and build in February 2009 so quite recent.

  In your case the question has nothing to do with the SATA mode (AHCI mode or Compatible) but it looks like the CD/DVD drive cannot handle the Win XP disc

  Hello I'm new here. I just bought a HP pavilion DV7 laptop 1285dx of entertainment 5 days ago, and the touch buttons for volume, mute, play, pause, before, back buttons and WiFi stop working. They never really seem to work perfectly. kind of hit and miss and the scroll of volume would be a little crazy. They don't quite work now and I was wondering if there could be something that I could try before I return the laptop to Best Buy? Again, what are the tactile buttons between the keyboard and screen. Any help would be appreciated.

  Hi Esteban1976.  I think I found the solution (at least this is what finally worked for me).

  Follow these steps:

  1 shutdown the computer laptop completely (not in standby or Hibernate).

  2. unplug the power adapter AC laptop.

  3 remove the battery from the laptop.

  4. press on and hold down, the button for 30 seconds.

  5. replace the battery, plug in the adapter and turn on the laptop.

  HP says that these actions will remove all capacitive and static charges in the laptop.

  He has worked both times that I had the problem.

  Don't know exactly why it worked, but I guess it's because the tactile buttons have registers of memory who associated with them that becomes insensitive (or closed) due to static charge/discharge of 'touch' and do not lose their charge until all energy sources have been removed, and the circuit to ground out.

  Let me know if this worked for you also.

• Qosmio F750 - touch buttons does not work after Windows update 10

  I use a laptop Qosmio F750 (PQF75A-02Y00Q).

  Installed on the computer the previous operating system was Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Then, I upgraded the operating system to Windows 64-bit edition 10.

  As expected, this change would cause problems to appear. The thing that is really bothers me right now is that the touch of the keys in the top right of the keyboard do not work as expected.

  The buttons respond always if you touch them, but they do nothing on the screen. for the most part. When I touch the Volume Up / Volume keys down, they work as expected. However, the key Mute, the button Play/Pause, the Wifi key on / off and Mode (as well as the key to toshiba bulletin board) eco button do nothing.

  Curiously, when I manually turn eco mode from the power settings mode eco button again turns the green.

  My last question is, how can I fix this so that ALL keys work as expected?
