  Where to play games on my Satellite A300 (PSAGCA-02W010) and looking at photos of all colors seem a bit dull and grayish.   When I connect eSATA disk HARD Satellite A300 is locked and the HARD drive is not detected. I tried to connect the HARD drive with both eSATA - SATA + USB power cable Cable when it is powered OFF with the same locked A300 result.

  AFAIK, the chipset drivers are responsible for the usb, esata functions but you already reinstalled it. Have you tried to remove the chipset drivers in Device Manager and reinstall again? If still does not solve your problem, it may be the operating system itself. Using the preinstalled operating system or Windows disk?

  Maybe you used the wrong driver in the past

  So Sat A300-1EG belongs to the series of PSAG4E.
  The European driver Toshiba page does not provide a special touchpad driver for Win 7 for this device.

  But I noticed that Win 7 64 bit drivers touchpad (Alps & Synaptics) for Satellite L500 PSLS3E series is released on the European driver page.

  I have exactly the same problem with my 4 month Satellite A300. Every now and then and apparently without cause, the CD-ROM drive (Mat * a DVD - RAM) refuses to open. The little light near the eject button flickers when the button is pressed, but nothing. It will do if the drive is empty or not. Device Manager can see the disk and claims that it works correctly and that the driver is up-to-date.   After reinstalling Windows (Vista 32 bit), everything was fine until the moment when I wanted to turn off the backlight touch multimedia keys, those just above the keyboard (above the F1 to F12 keys).
