  I own Toshiba Satellite A300 for a year. Lately, I've noticed overheating.

  Idling, the temperature the lowest I measured using HW Monitor was 60 ° C for the processor, 50 ° C for the GPU, 42 ° C to the HARD drive. When I got home, the problem still remained, and it seems worse.

  When I start a game, like world of warcraft, for example, the graphics card will of constant 50 degrees to 100 to like 10 seconds, and then the laptop stops.
  Someone could point me in the right direction and could they be scamming?

  I mean, I paid to solve the overheating problem, but they have not solved. Next Monday, I'll see what they had to say. Should I pay for another repair (repair minimum is 80, even if anything needs to be repaired).

  Theoretically it could also be a software problem if the laptop is overheating. I had the same problem because I installed display drivers not Toshiba and they had different thermal management so the laptop was overheating. I removed this display driver and installed the new Toshiba display driver and the problem was gone, because these drivers are designed and pre-tested by Toshiba.

  Otherwise I would also contact the ASP and check what they say. ;)

  Strange! Usually, if you have created the DVD recovery Toshiba using the TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator then everything should work correctly and you should be able to install Vista on this A300!
