Satellite A300D - create a recovery disk

Hello
I have a Toshiba A300D. Recently, I installed the version BETA of Windows 7, wiping my installation of Windows Vista on my laptop, now I don't want Windows 7 more and wants to return to Vista. I still have the recovery partition in drive D, but I don't know how to be: create a recovery from this disk or restore using this straight from the trunk. I tried pressing F11 at the Toshiba flash at startup screen, and who just go to a screen that says "Windows could not start...". "etc, I also tried to go to the Multiboot menu and selecting HDD2, and who does not work either.

So can someone tell me how I can restore back to Windows Vista, I'm not taken worth losing data as I alll backed up on an external hard drive.
Where can I get the Toshiva Recovery Disc Creator software anywhere?

Hello

He's a bad friend... usually it is not possible to restore the laptop on the factory (in the image of Toshiba) settings if you have removed the Vista HARD drive and not create the recovery disk...

The recovery disk is THIS essential disk and must be created at the beginning!

But maybe you're a lucky guy...
I found this thread with a nice tutorial posted by forum user.
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=164927&

I didn't test it and I don't know if it will work, but I think you're last option... otherwise, you will need to order the Toshiba recovery disc.

  • Satellite A300D - creating recovery disk problem

    Hello.

I have Toshiba Satellite A300D-11 t (extended A300D-11) and I would like to create recovery disk. Problem is that I can't run the Toshiba Recovery disk creation tool. There is no shortcut in the start menu.
I tried to run Program Files.

Program itself exists (or at least I think it does), there are files in the Program Files folder, in "Programs and features" program is also so I could remove it.
Simply click on the file TosRDC.exe (or any other file *.exe in this case) and it does not start.

For memory - recovery partition exists and has not been changed.

System - Vista Home Premium 32 bit.
    What should do?

    Hello

I would say to pick up the machine from the disk and then, immediately after the machine, you should try to create a recovery disk. It could be that something in the meantime destroyed some piece of software in your operating system that could be the reason of this problem.

Maybe not a very elegant solution but the only one that works every time.

I just bought a Satellite Pro A300 with Windows XP.
I want to know how I can or if I need to create a recovery disk that will reset the machine to its original state.
The information gives instuctions on how to proceed for the Vista machines, but not for XP.

I know that I can recover from the hidden partition, but where this is not possible, I wish I could get CD or DVD.
There is a recovery CD included product that says only: "MS Windows XP" so I guess that it does not include drivers or Toshiba Software?

    Hello

You have preinstalled software Toshiba TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator?

    Please check this box.
Using the TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator you can create the recovery disk.

But if your laptop was already pre-installed with Windows XP and then a Recovery CD or DVD must be included.

Have you checked all of the items in the box?

You can create the recovery only DVD disc if your laptop computer has preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator and factory settings.

Please check if you can find this tool under start > all programs > Toshiba. There you should find shortcuts to launch this utility.

  • Screen flickers on Satellite L300 and I am unable to create a recovery disk

    Hi all

    I just bought a model L300 PSLB0C 08R08C number.
I was unable to create a recovery disk, I was getting an error message saying it cannot create disk because it is scratched or has dirt on it, I lost 5 nine DVD.

I am went to the store and replaced by another unit, but had the same problem (I have not tried a different brand of DVD well)

Second issue with this device, the screen flashes once whenever it is in a shutdown state.
Number 3, the wireless card disappears from the Device Manager, until I restart.
    Laptop made in China ;-)

    Any suggestions are much apprecaited

    Hello

It is indeed strange that you were unable to create a recovery disk, and that the problem has resurfaced, even after permutation of the laptop with another unit of the store. However, if you have not tried a different brand of DVD so I suggest that if the laptop asks the disc is scratched or has dirt on it. I'm not sure if toshiba factory in fact blank DVDs, but if they do, it would be a starting point, as one would expect hardware toshiba would happily work with their own brand DVD media. However, if you can't find toshiba dvd then use another trust mark, for example, Imation and TDK. with my experience, I have tried many brands of DVD and have found very reliable TDK.

regarding the second question, this may be related to the graphics card in the system, or could be due to the performance of the computer laptop itself. Check that you have the latest driver for your graphics card and all the settings on the computer are optimized / hard drives are defragmented and deleted unnecessary files. with your third question, this question could also be related to driver problems, check your regional drivers toshiba site for the latest drivers again. failing this, I would back up your data and then restore to a factory condition, then install the drivers immediately. I hope this info can help you somehow.

    Hello

    > I do not have to uninstall the program, it is also on my list of software. I can see the program in C:\Program Toshiba Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator, but when I click on ToRDC.exe it does not start.
Sorry for my question but what you want to do exactly?
You want to retrieve the laptop using the recovery disk or you want to create a recovery disk?

The Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator creates the recovery disk using files in HARD disk recovery file that is placed on the second partition.

If you want to recover the laptop, then you simply boot from the recovery disc.

  • Creating a recovery disk

Hi, my question is a little General, and I think that specific info on my laptop is not relevant. It is a HP, come to buy, and I want to create a recovery disk. I have seen that I have the opportunity to create it on USB or DVD. Here's my question... I have an external drive, which already have some data in it, but I have a lot of free space. Can I use an external hard disk to create a recovery instead of a USB disk? Any suggestions really appreciate it.

    Claudiu sincerely

    Claudiu Hey,.

I couldn't guarantee it would work, but you can try to partition a space about 20 GB and using the following guide for it. This method would not be my first choice, only because I don't want to risk losing other data that are on this hard drive, if something is not right with the partitioning/formatting process.

It might be more convenient to use a USB flash drive to do first and then create a partition on your hard drive and copy the USB flash content to the reader on this partition using Acronis or similar program. I strongly suggest to backup other data on this hard drive storage cloud or temporarily on the hard drive of your computer, just in case something goes wrong. Let me know if you have any questions

  • Create the recovery disk

I have a pavilion dv6 Windows 7 and he needs a reconstruction. It doesn't have a D: partion but I wanted to play it safe and to create the recovery disk set in case there was a problem with the drive D. I bought some Maxell dvd + R disc but are not accepted by this utility.

According to the utility I use either + r or - R disc, why did he not accept

    Thanks for any constructive help

Get your product number by pressing Fn + ESC key or check the Service tag on the bottom, may be under the battery.

Go to 'Support & drivers' at the top of this page. Enter your product number. After you enter the PN, click Next, then choose the software & Drivers. On the next page use the menu drop down to select your (probably Windows 7 64-bit) operating system. A list will fill with the drivers. Recovery media should be listed as an option to purchase, if you live in the United States / CA. usually around $17.

If a recovery media is not listed, use the link that I posted above to get the phone number. Often if you support your software fails to create the set they send a free of charge.

can someone help me create a recovery for my laptop Hp Pavilion G6 disc - 2330 m

After inserting a dvd, I went to all the programs/maintenance/create a system repair disc

but it gives the following error:

The system repair disc could not be created

    The parameter is incorrect. (0 x 80070057)

I posted earlier on my laptop freezing and respondent very late in command. I decided to create a recovery disk but have resulted in this issue.

    Help, please.

    Concerning

    Maury

I suspect that the operating system on your laptop is probably not an OEM copy because of which the Recovery Manager is not available

FYI, if the Recovery Manager was available, you can restore (restore your laptop back to the factory State) without the need to create recovery discs. The D:\ disc that is the recovery partition that would help you to do on your laptop.

Try these steps and see if it works.

    1. click on Start button and type "devmgmt.msc" without the quotes and press ENTER key

    2. right click on the drive D:\ - HP Recovery partition and select Mark Partition Active.

    3. what would give you an alert/prompt, where you must choose Yes brings you to the Recovery Manager screen and restart your computer. You can follow the link that I provided above to start the process of recovery on your laptop.

    Note:

Please backup your files before recovering on the laptop that it would result in the loss of data.

  • What card SD size should I expect create a recovery disk?

I just bought an inspiron 11 3000 series 2-in-1 for my son to school.

God knows, it will probably load tons of stuff on him that will finally it slow down for analysis and I will need to freshen up before the road of the school year.  So, I want to create a system for her drive until it begins to use it and I want to use a cool map only for that, so I can keep them safe and not have it used for something else.

What is the size of a disk I need create this recovery disk and system?  I used to use only the old CD, but it was at the time where I really was just reinstall the generic Windows and don't care about the drivers and others for my desktop PC.  I want to keep his laptop pretty much OEM factory to make our lives a little easier in the long run.

A 8 GB would be plenty for this?

    Thank you

This flash drive will be dedicated to the backup, if anything more than 16G is wasted. 64G may be a best value in general, but in this case, I recommend the thumb drive 16G cheaper than you can find, and I would also like to make two just to be sure.
