Hello

This error appears especially if some or all of the system files are damaged.
Usually the new OS reinstall should solve this problem.
Use the recovery disk to reinstall the operating system.

But many people have reported that this could occur due to hardware failure; Modules of RAM or HARD drive may be disrupted.

PXE - e61:media test check cable error message appears because the laptop has attempted to boot from LAN. This is especially the case if the LAN boot option has been set to the first position in the BIOS or if the HARD disk is not available or not recognized.

In your case, it could be a new drive HARD does not appear in the BIOS, which is not recognized.

  • Satellite Pro A300 - System32\hal.dll file is corrupted or missing

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300, which says that the System32\hal.dll file is missing or corrupt.

Is it possible to repair the file by a recovery by the laptop itself, or do I have to get a copy of Windows Vista to start over and do it this way?

Hoping to get some possible answers to what to do.

    Thanks Christian

    Hello

I read that some discussions in different forums and in most cases the new OS installation may solve this problem. The HAL.dll in place in C:\Windows\system32 then maybe you could solve this problem in copy this file from the Vista CD in this folder

You could start the unit by using a Live CD (linux or windows lice CD called PartBe or WinPE)
But the easiest solution would be to the recovery procedure

    Hi debreeze,

There are many different factors can be attributed to your question.  It could be your network card, a problem with your ISP, Modem, or any other number of things.  Something happens during the download process that causes your files get corrupted.  We would like a little more info to help solve your problem.

It is a laptop or desktop, and are you connected via a wired or wireless?  If you are connected wireless; you could try to connect with a wire and then try the downloads.

Who is your Internet service provider, and what kind of equipment do you use to connect to their service?  You may have a faulty modem.  You can call most of the suppliers and ask them to test your equipment/connection to see if it is the problem.

Do you have other computers on your network and if so; do you have the same results as the download of files on them?

You use any type of internet security applications or third-party firewall.  If the answer is "Yes";  try temporarily disabling them and download your files.

You are connected to a router?  If you are, try to connect directly to the modem and see what kind of results you get.

If none of this helps, please post your hardware specs so that we can give you more troubleshooting steps.  We can't wait to hear back on your part.

  • "JVM 517 error corrupted file system". (On Storm 9530 Simulator)-Please HELP

I receive the error described in the header for the Verizon Storm 9530 Simulator. Normally, this error set a Blackberry OS error that need to reinstall, but I'm just on the Simulator, not my phone. I tried to add all kinds of files to the path system variable. My partner in crime has no problem with the same configuration that I and we are perplexed at this point. I run on Eclipse with Windows 7 Pro if it means something.

This is my only good news (inside the eclipse compiler), make more disconcerting things:

'Project successful packaging (took 9,03 seconds) grid'

Help would be very appreciated! I still have work to do and can't code without the Simulator run our demo

I wanted to just inform you all that I was actually right about the project > Blackberry > own Simulator within eclipse. Select all, when you do that. It is very easy.

  • system32\DRIVERS\pci.sys missing or corrupt file error but windows xp is already preloaded on computer when purchased

missing or corrupt file error system32\DRIVERS\pci.sys keeps appearing. I had a problem with google chrome and then stop everything. This error appeared. It tells me to use the cr rom boot but xp was already loaded on the sony vaio that we bought a few years ago. I don't know what to do next because I don't want to lose the pictures and music, we have on the hard drive. Any help would be appreciated

If your data is not backed up, then at some point that the data will be lost.

Your Sony are delivered with a hidden restore partition or recovery disks, but I do not think that the Sony recovery allows to repair an installation of win, only pure install.

You must remove the drive and it slave on another PC in order to retrieve the data, or take it to a decent repair shop for them to do it for you

  • Satellite L350: Vista doesn't work anymore - LogonUI.exe - corrupted file

Security Suite updates on my daughters Toshiba Satellite L350 windows vista the operating system no longer works.
An error was detected on the system that contains the following message.

Open a session about UI.exe - corrupted file
    File or directory C/Program ~ 1 / Toshiba/Smart face V is corrupt & unreadable.

I tried to run a system restore to the last configuration on both computers, but always the same problem exists. I also tried to restore the two laptops to the factory settings, but the system still does not work. I don't have a restore disk as disk Toshiba HARD drive recovery is on the laptop.

Can someone help me or suggest any way I can fix it both of these laptops. It seems very strange that both of these computers have stopped working at the same time according to windows automatic updates in October 09.

    Thank you Gary

    Hello

AFAIK the LogonUI.exe is responsible for connecting to the Windows operating system.
If the exe file is corrupt then you won't be able to connect to the operating system.

You don t the recovery disk but you have the HARD drive on the second partition recovery this may be your last resort.

Switch on and press F8. Choose fix my computer.
Then new window appears offering the option called: HARD drive recovery.

Choose this option and see if you can start the HDD recovery procedure.

  • Error 1335 - corrupted file

    Hello

I recently installed windows 7 on my new custom machine built a week ago. I ran into a problem when I tried to install a game [Crysis] error occurred during the installation began to copy files and install the game. This game is using .cab files to install the software.

I have an error message at the beginning of the installation, "Error 1335 - file is corrupted etc. The file is there and works. I tried to install other software such as photoshop and various other games.

After searching the net, I think that the problem is the windows installer. Another solution, I found, is that it could be down to the RAM. I ran a diagnosis of memory who found a problem. I would like to know if there is a real solution to the problem or if I have to buy another RAM.

    Methods I've tried;

1 using the msiexec / unregister, and a few other commands, but I'm not sure if they do.

    2. has tried to install the software on the hard drive

3A ran a registry cleaner, clean up and disk defragmentation

These are the methods that I can remember off the top of my head.

Any guidance or possible corrections would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi Hazzerf,

You can try to change the stick to another location, or use a different stick of RAM to check if there is a problem with the RAM.

  • Error codes & corrupt files

Hi, can you please help. I have problems with the installation of the updates and software on my laptop: -.

updated Windows, I get the error code 80200053,
Microsoft Security Essentials updates, I get the error code 0 x 80240022 (it is a new installation but have not been able to run as unable to update with all definitions)
Installation of Windows Live Messenger and Mail, I get error code hr:0x8007000d

I restored my laptop to factory default, but the problem has not been fixed. I still have the same problem but also, I'm unable to download programs such as Java or AVG (before I tried MSE), I get messages affecting either corrupted files or editors unknown/certificates. I have had these problems for more than a week now, actually both my laptop and my desktop partners have the same problems.

After spending hours searching these forums, I found another user who seems to have the same problems as me and monitoring of the solution developed for example disk cleanup; SFC.exe then checkdisk but the problems have not been resolved. The log of the SFC.exe suggested that some corrupt files could not be repaired and I looked at the results, but to be honest I have no idea what to do about it. The result of checkdisk returned clean well.

We managed to get a copy of AVG from a CD and run a full scan on the laptop and desktop and no viruses have been detected. The only items listed were cookies of track that have been removed or repaired and 2 items on my laptop Advisor broken digital certificates.

Can you please help me with this, I don't know what else to do to solve this problem?

    Vista Home Premium 32 bit

    Thank you

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

I followed your instructions and the MSE update failed. I opened as a new thread as suggested.
