  my windows media player is constantly updated of my c drive, I did the sfc scannow and that said I have some corrupted files and it also sets some but ist is always updatin, I also tried to stop during extraction of information about the options of wmp etc it also did not work.   (b) on the library tab, uncheck retrieve additional information from the internet.
  (c) close Windows Media Player and the reopen to see the process is faster.
  If this has no effect, do the following:

  (b) on the Player tab, change the automatic updates in once a month.
  (c) close Windows Media Player and the reopen to test.

  This sounds like the CD burner doesn't burn CD correctly.
