SATELLITE C50 - B - 153 Facebook game taking all CPU usage

Good afternoon

With the help of Windows 8.1

I wonder if someone can help me here. I bought this laptop about 3 to 4 weeks. I love it all, but when I play a game facebook (Zynga poker in this case...) it's so slow... sometimes I can still play my turn that the moment I can click actually my turn has exceeded... My friends using an old laptop Toshiba (a good 5 years using Vista...) can play the exact same games without problem.

I noticed yesterday that when this game is running (on Explorer 11 I think), it uses between 70% and 95% of the CPU. and about 50% to 70% when using Chrome. She doesn't go down to 2 to 5 sometimes for 1 or 2 seconds and then again up to 70/90 immediately... and if I dared open another window at the same time to check my emails or anything else, the game freezes and you can be sure I'll miss a good few rotations... it is later... (4 GB of Ram on this laptop incidentally, my girlfriend has only 2 GB and it has no problem playing that game while the other windowS are open...)

I have only the normal windows anti virus (nothing else) and since I bought the laptop I just instaled 1 program which is a security camera and I rarely use anyway.

This may be the cause and how can I sort? I tried to contact large Windows Live chat, but they won't help me unless I have pay 70 from the beginning (without assurance that they can solve the problem...)

Thank you very much

SEB.

One of my friends had problems with the game of scrabble on Facebook. I think that there is a problem with the new that way that adobe flash player is integrated in internet explore. Have you tried using the Firefox browser?

  • Satellite A200 crashing when moved or when the CPU usage is too high

Well so recently my Toshiba Satellite A200 started crashing everytime I have to pick up the laptop or run any processes taking the CPU up to 100% usage.

This means essentially no rendering 3D games and no Photoshop or current iTunes running at the same time, etc. Here are the best even if it happens only when the laptop is plugged and not when only battery power. I tried to use another AC adapter, and I cleaned the hard drive for a new installation of Windows 7 that never solved the problem. I even went so far as to update the BIOS.

I am not quite determined that he is just a hardware problem, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions about which party can act up on me. As I said still works like a dream when running on battery power.

    > Here is the kicker if this happens only when the laptop is plugged and not when only battery power.

The energy saving switch to another profile, using the AC adapter.
Maybe you can try to change the speed of treatment at a lower level and could increase the cooling method parameters in the energy saving profile when the AC adapter is in use.

Otherwise, it could be a hardware problem and in this case, you will need a help of ASP.

  • Svchost.exe several process taking high CPU usage

    * Original title: svchost.exe bleeding memory of multiple processes

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1 on decent office equipment.  Intel i7 - 2600 k, 16 GB of memory Corsair, 2 TB HD.  Recently, I noticed that sometimes the Web pages would much to slow while my 5.0 GHz network turned to 15.0 Mbs.  Also online MechWarrior gave me games much more than before lag to the point where I wouldn't be able to play.  This began about five to seven days from 29/09/14 and was regularly do worse.

So I took a look at my resource monitor and the Task Manager and discovered fifteen process svchost.exe running and a svchost.exe * 32 running.  They were dispersed users (System, Local Service, Network Service), and we were shooting at 150 000 + K.  Sometimes there would be two consuming the same amount of memory, but I have yet to see more on the list do so.

I'm certainly not an expert, but I take care of my computer.  My network is password protected, I ran a complete virus scan of the system that was detected (and if it is dangerous, I'm not at all more risky than Facebook sites on my PC.  I am saying that it is highly unlikely that I have no virus.)  I also checked the forums for others who have had the same problem and there were few.

The only change I made is my network hardware, upgrade my modem and router/switch.  My router is a dual band and my computer is the only one on the frequency 5.0 but check on my computers to families that run on the 2.4, they have what seems like unusually high memory usage svchost.exe as well.  I went back two restore points, but that made no difference.

Syschk control function run as administrator has not resolved the issue as well.  So what else am I missing?

In order to diagnose your problem, we need run Windows performance toolkit, the instructions that are in this wiki

  • Satellite C50 - B - lines on the screen

    Hi all

My son has bought a Satellite C50-B-153 in December last year and used as a personal laptop. One morning last week, he went to use it and worsened the Toshiba start screen met with lines, lines and more white, and then it closes.

I tried all the 'F' with the option '0' options with no luck, read about the command causing problems so I connected an external rom to boot DVD and tried to load the recovery disc. I left him and went away for a short time, when I came back, I clicked the mouse button and the screen with the opening screen of windows, with lines session more and then and then it restarted again.

I checked the internal cables and the cables of the screen and they are all attached properly the only thing I did not just replace the CMOS battery but don't know if it would be useful or not?

Any help would be greatly appreciated because he is lost without her, and so I don't like it with my computer laptop haha!

    Thanks in advance,
    Emma.

If the lines are visible all the time, you should check if they are visible on the external monitor or TV. If this is not the case, the problem is probably defective.

  • Satellite Pro C50-A-153 does not not turn on more - overheat?

    LS,
A week ago I bought a new laptop, a Toshiba Satellite Pro C50-A-153.

Last night I was watching some micro-credit (looking for a new holiday) and I noticed that the laptop was overheating.
I hit the market / stop butten and it turned of... later.
And now the computer lights no more.

    _Situation: _
laptop was placed on my table, completely cleared of any blokades for air intake.
The table was heated. Now after hours of reflection, the computer does not work.
With or without power line in it.

    What should do?
    Erik

    Hello

Let's hope that Timox tips might work for you.
In case of workaround won't help you, I would say that some hardware is dead, and so the laptop does not power and more.

What part of material likely to be affected? Hmm, in the worst case, your motherboard is faulty.
But I think first of all that some less expensive parts need to be checked for example RAM modules.

RAM failure would prevent the laptop to boot and so I would check the modules first.
I don t think there is something wrong with HARD drive because even if the HARD disk is defective, the device turns on but could not start the system.

But it's a new laptop... so don't replace anything. The guarantee is valid and in the event of hardware problems, the guarantee must cover the laptop repair.

  • Satellite Pro C50-A-153 - Touchpad does not work properly

First, sorry for my bad English.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro C50-A-153, the problem is its touchpad and not work correctly, the mouse does not move when I move the finger on the pad, it seems that if I had to roll the bar "or the mouse wheel.

Sometimes, the 'mouse' works for 20 seconds and then again the same thing. An external mouse works fine.

It is not the problem of the functions "Fn". I tried to stop, reset the battery and press the power button to 50seconds. I also tried to uninstall the drivers for the Touchpad, and I think that I tried to change all the properties on the 'Control Panel - mouse'.

Can someone help me with this?

    Thank you.

On most computers laptop Toshiba is installed the Synaptics touchpad driver. With this driver, there are available additional touchpad settings. Try it please change these settings and turn off the features you don't need.

How to do that you can read on https://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD3101Z30000R01.htm

  • Satellite C50-A-138 - all USB ports do not have

    Hello

I have a major problem with my Satellite C50-A-138.
The card reader has never worked, and one by one the USB ports have stopped working.
I can connect my phone to each of them, and he will.

But I can not plug any device into the port and have the laptop recognize at all.
So far, I tried the following:

Deactivation and activation of each port
    Uninstalling and reinstalling
    Updates
    Updating of windows 8
    Reinstallation of windows 8
    Regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\UsbFlags
    Regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\usbhub
    Download of patches

Is there anything else I can do to make them work again?

    > Card reader has never worked, and one by one the USB ports have stopped working.
It is really strange. This model laptop was offered with Win8 64-bit and I can't imagine that a few pots do not work on the first day, and from the moment when the laptop was delivered with factory settings.
    > Reinstallation of windows 8
Have you created a recovery media and then installed recovery image using this media?
With other words, have you tested the feature with the factory settings?

Toshiba satellite c59-b-153. Bought on eBay so made a full reset but now cannot go beyond Toshiba Leading Innovation page.

Opens on this page then darkens, then the fan starts again and page turns and continues just that on a loop. I tried now zero button when you turn forums suggest, but it does not work.

F12 works and takes me to the boot menu, but there is no restart of the hard disk. F2 gets me to the pages in the bios but I don't know what to do on these pages. Previous owner had set up bios passwords user and Manager so I have them deleted.

I reset the time and date also lights like when I take the battery and replace it to start again the message rtc battery is low. I kept it as above during the night where it was the cmos battery, but it did not work either.

    Hello

    I have a portable Satellite C50-at-19 t, that came pre-installed with Windows 8.1.

I cannot transfer files on any of my other Bluetooth devices paired with the laptop, but I can transfer files from laptop to other devices, it seems to work only one way.

The PC does not display a file download, and the transmitter device says not sent the file. I looked in the Bluetooth settings but find nothing much in there. other devices work properly with each other.

I hope someone can give me an idea of what I'm doing wrong.

    Thank you. John.

    > I'm unable to transfer files on any of my other Bluetooth devices paired with the laptop, but I can transfer files from laptop to other devices, it seems to work only one way.

In your case, I recommend to check others like Firewall and antivirus security settings.
I suggest you to temporary disable the antivirus and firewall and then check the result
Perhaps BT file transfer is blocked.

  • Windows 10, nvidia 930 m Satellite C50-C022 opengl error

I bought this Toshiba - Satellite-C50-C022 with 10 64-bit windows. I can't update the drivers nvidia for the newest version. When I do all the appz I use which uses opengl, the screen goes black. I have to stay with the default drivers 347.52 with what he came. This isn't a problem with appz using direct3d as 3dmax. The problem is with opengl and new drivers nvidia on this laptop.

    Black window in lightwave

I even downloaded the new driver from toshiba website tcm0007400h and its still does not not with opengl.

  • Only the C partition on the new Satellite C50-B-14Z

    Hello

I'm not an experienced user, but I'll do my best to explain the problem.

I bought Toshiba Satellite C50-B-14Z with 8.1 installed Windows, and when starting the system, I noticed that there is only one partition of hard drive, the C partition. When you enter the disk management, I see there are 4 basic partitions already (500 GB disk):

    -Recovery - 1 GB
    -EFI system - 100 MB
    -Recovery - 10.97 GB
-C (boot, page file, crash dump, primary partition) - 453,57 GB

They are all primary partitions, and I read on the forums that you can have only 4 those primary, so I can't add one more to the D partition, I would like to have.
Possibility that I offered in "actions" is to create a virtual hard drive, but I guess that is not the same thing.
I also read that you can create new partition if you have "unallocated" space (partition), but all 4 before indicated are those primary and not affected.

Then, the next opportunity that I read on is to do a right-click on C and "reduce volume", and then create new partition from the rest of the space (if I understand it is good), but then I read in Windows Help:
"When you shrink a partition, all regular files are automatically transferred to the disk to create the new unallocated space. There is no need to reformat the drive to shrink the partition. » ... "If the partition is a raw partition (that is, a lack of a file system) that contains data (for example, a database file)", reducing the partition may destroy the data. ""

Normally, I have never tested a large part with the C partition, and now I don't know if I would destroy some system files while doing this "shrinkage" and I don't have the CD installation for the system, so I can't fix it if I ruin something.

    Please advise...

Yes, this is the right way to have more than one partition. You can define what capacity should partition C and any free space can be "convert" to the D partition.

One last thing: don't forget to create a recovery (DVD or USB) media. It is very important to have recovery image back-up.

  • Satellite C50 - update Windows questions

    Hello

I bought a Satellite C50 windows 8 year last for my partner (who has the patience of a gnat and click on everything and nothing), when windows updates were installed on a month ago, she lost the office link, she kept flashing on and outside. She managed to access the Internet through internet Explorer tab (only for the bingo & ebay lol).

An other recent windows update took forever to load then a failure to configure changes return messages that froze the laptop.

Yesterday, I managed to return to the default value, all settings, after all personal preferences, I went to update the page to change the settings to apply updates before installing, and he said he had to be updated before choosing the updates!

I'm back there again and I was wondering if there was a specific update that is causing all this trouble. Although my bank balance is looking better, I'll throw this lappy in the bin and just buy another!

    Help, please. Thanks :)

    Hello

In general, I agree with the view of s IronMan.
The point is that you can always set the computer laptop initial configuration using the recovery procedure.

After this procedure the system windows will install updates from Microsoft.
This may take some time and the unit must be restarted several times during this procedure.

A system update will install before other updates have been installed.
Therefore, this process could take a little longer.

In addition, you will need to update to the latest system 8.1 Win the old Win 8.
This can be done after have installed all updates to Win 8.
The Win 8.1 update should be done as recommended by Toshiba.

The complete step by step instruction can be found here:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/

You will be also informed about updates of Toshiba Toshiba service station preinstalled.
In this case, it will be very easy to get the latest version of the driver.

I hope this helps a little

  • Vodafone Huawei 3 G Dongle will not work on Satellite C50 and Win8

Recently bought this laptop running Windows 8.
No matter what I try, I can't do this USB 3 G Huawei Vodafone dongle to be recognized by this Toshiba laptop.

This dongle works in all our other laptops and laptops and tablets from other brands with Windows 7 or Windows 8 is certainly not something to do with the dongle the software, he moved, drivers or the operating system.

At a time where it is plugged into the port USB, he opens the window asking what we want to do, telling me that the port and USB controller works, but that's all that.

When you open the Vodafone software to connect to the 3G option Connect is grayed out and no device is indicated. In other words, it is not to recognize the modem for a reason any.

As he is OK anywhere else, it must be something to do with this Toshiba laptop.

Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated.
We have loaded other versions of the Vodafone software and it made no difference. It must be a hardware conflict problem.

It seems that the device does not recognize the USB dongle.
Did you test all USB ports?

As much as I know Satellite C50-A-xxx supports 1 USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports
    Check all three ports.

You can also delete all the USB controllers and hubs in Device Manager and restart the laptop. After restarting again the unit should automatically recognize the USB ports.
Also try to disable the sleep & Charge USB in the BIOS (if available).
