  • Satellite C660 - wave fan constantly BIOS problem

    I have a Satellite C660, PSC0LE submodel.

The fan (CPU) is constantly growing and turn off every minute or so. He is strong and extremely intrusive / boring. It is occurs regardless of the load / CPU temperature. I have seen references to this topic, and some people have suggested that a BIOS update to fix it.

I updated my machine to the latest version available (1.40), but it is not fixed.

I see that this (PSC0LE) submodel has not later than some of the other variants (there is a version 1.8 for some other submodels C660) an update of the BIOS and I think the fan problem is solved in that.

Toshiba intends to solve this problem on the PSC0LE via a new BIOS, or y at - it another way to stop what is really distracting.

For normal use I recommend to use the balanced feeding and management game, cooling method to lower the level. It should reduce the activity of fan cooling.

  • Satellite C50-A-1DV - mouse / keyboard problem

Just bought this laptop and have heard of problems with the keyboard and mouse.
    It happened to me today.

The mouse stops just in response to the movement of the keyboard.
Thought that update of Windows 8 may have changed / added something so this causes rolled the driver in Device Manager that was available as an option, but now is not.

The mouse still works sometimes and sometimes not. If I press F5 it sometimes is.

using the FN and F5 took me to the keyboard layout where I set the keyboard to the default setting and it worked well for a while and then stopped again.

Someone suggested removing the battery and now the switch for 20 seconds, but has nothing actually. Is an appropriate solution for this outside assistance from a separate mouse?

    All thoughts welcome.

    Thank you

    Hello Deborah

The touchpad could be simply disabled in case where you have not checked it in the past, the combination of keys try Fn + F5 to switch from a touchpad on/OFF function.

In case this does not resolve your problem, reinstall the electric Synaptics and Alps Touchpad driver.
Both can be found and downloaded from the Toshiba UE driver page:

  • Satellite C50-B-133 - HDMI does not connect to TV

    Help.

    I just bought a laptop Satellite C50-B-133.
The problem is that I can't view HD cable on my Panasonic TV.
He acknowledges that it is connected to a Panasonic TV.

I did the Windows + P to select "Duplicate the screen" etc. but nothing helps.

The interactive Wizard of the Toshiba site mentioned it could be the cable... is this possible?
Other articles - playstation etc connect this cable without difficulty.

When I go into settings > change pc settings > display > detect > "has not detected a different view" is the answer. However, when I go into Toshiba desktop help > tools and utilities > display utility > multiple views > panasonic tv is listed. #confused...

Please open page 51 in the document of the user s manual and you will find explanation how to switch between internal or external display.

When you connect the HDMI cable do not forget that good on television port is enabled. After that, you should be able to pass a screen LCD of your laptop and TV using F-keys.
If you still need assistance or advice do not hesitate to ask.

    Hello

According to specifications specification , you got your laptop with the preinstalled version of Win8.1.
With other words, your laptop has been pre-installed with original recovery image designed for this model of laptop. Preinstalled recovery image should not be enabled.

Recovery image is also saved on the HARD drive and it is possible for you to create bootable recovery media (backup recovery) that you can use for the installation of original recovery image.
    > I'll reinstall my windows 8.1 which came preinstalled on my Toshiba laptop.
If I understand you right you try to use your laptop with the original recovery image again. Is this good?

I really don't know what's the problem here, but after the first start, connect your laptop to the Internet and complete the installation. Preinstalled Windows must be activated automatically.

  • On the new Satellite C50-A-19U battery problem

    Hello

A few days ago I bought a new notebook Satellite C50-A-19U.

Everything works without problems, except when I unplug the power cable, the battery level goes from 100% to 50% both.

If I try to charge the phone, battery load normally up to 50% and then spend 50% to 100%.

    Anyone facing this problem?

I don't really know what may be the problem here. Try to use the battery until it will be completely empty and let it be fully charged again.

Please watch carefully if the same happens again and send feedback.

  • Satellite A-C50-1JU - manually updated BIOS

    Hi Forum,

is their any chance of updating the bios manually? The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C50-A-1JU with part number: PSCJEE. The Toshiba Service Station brings to each time a service error. Another update from the site Web DM10S140.exe crashes every time. I tried the compatibility mode, startet it as administrator, but never the actual accident itself. Operating system windows 8.1 and anti-virus is disabled. What I have now? Thanks for any help.

Edit, sorry postet in the wrong section please move: (.)

I think Toshiba Service Station is a tool not so important but interesting. If your laptop works well and stabile you don't need updates. Maybe it sounds silly now, but I use two laptops from Toshiba with the factory settings and without updates. The first is 5 years old and it is running Win7. The other is model Tecra, 3 years and also preloaded with Win7.

All I have install Windows are updated. The first thing I did after installing recovery image is the deactivation of these tools like Toshiba Service Station.
Believe me, you can live without it.

In the end I have to say that I'm also sure that updating the BIOS won't help you any. The BIOS update has nothing to do with the Toshiba Service Station feature.

  • Problem starting on several Satellite C50 - C70 models

The members of the forum and Toshiba, Hello

Recently, I sold several laptop Toshiba Satellite C50-70 and Satellite Pro series.

With most of them, I knew starting problems.
When turn on/off the laptop, I see the Toshiba Logo and then nothing happens.
I have to turn it on and turn it on again so he can start on Windows. (7 or 8.1)

Sometimes, I have to power OFF / ON several times.

What I see is that the NumLock light does nothing. If the system starts, I see this LED flashes on / off 2 times. So, I can see on forehand if the laptop to boot Windows or hangs at the Toshiba Logo.

    Anyone having the same problems?

I put t know if anyone has had this problem but I guess that if the books are new and covered under the Toshiba warranty, you must contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country to check the material part.

The Toshiba start screen freeze means that the POST (power on self-test) could not be transmitted correctly and it is especially a sign of hardware malfunction.

  • Touchpad on my Satellite C50-A-157 problem

Hi, I had some problems with the touchpad my * Toshiba Satellite C50-A-157 * portable.

I use windows 8, and I've had my laptop for a few weeks, but suddenly, all the vof
I can only use the touchpad and operate the cursor when I have one of the buttons of the mouse pressed.
I had to use the "Tab" key and the "arrows" to navigate through the menus and options.

The * F5 key does not work and I tried already to day/reinstall the device drivers. Troubleshooting does not seem to work either.

However, whenever I don't have the mouse button, and the sursor is not movning, when I move my finger up and down on the touch pad, it will sail through the vertical series of the closest options and the left edge of the screen.

For example, in windows 8 Start menu, the mouse will be immobile in the middle of the screen, but when I move my finger up and down on the mouse pad, seems to scroll the tiles on the left of the menu, highlighting each of them on the way upwards or downwards.

I realize that it is quite a long and boring post, so thanks for reading this day and any help/suggestions, you can give will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

It's really strange question. Try to roll back the OS to an earlier time before it started to happen just to see if problem will be solved. Post comments.

is there anyway to reset the BIOS password?

BIOS password is characteristic of very important security and the methods and means how to remove it can be themed on the public forum.
Every stolen laptop could be 'unlocked' so this theme is "dangerous."

Anyway, what you can do is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They can cancel BIOS password for you.

  • Vodafone Huawei 3 G Dongle will not work on Satellite C50 and Win8

Recently bought this laptop running Windows 8.
No matter what I try, I can't do this USB 3 G Huawei Vodafone dongle to be recognized by this Toshiba laptop.

This dongle works in all our other laptops and laptops and tablets from other brands with Windows 7 or Windows 8 is certainly not something to do with the dongle the software, he moved, drivers or the operating system.

At a time where it is plugged into the port USB, he opens the window asking what we want to do, telling me that the port and USB controller works, but that's all that.

When you open the Vodafone software to connect to the 3G option Connect is grayed out and no device is indicated. In other words, it is not to recognize the modem for a reason any.

As he is OK anywhere else, it must be something to do with this Toshiba laptop.

Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated.
We have loaded other versions of the Vodafone software and it made no difference. It must be a hardware conflict problem.

It seems that the device does not recognize the USB dongle.
Did you test all USB ports?

As much as I know Satellite C50-A-xxx supports 1 USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports
    Check all three ports.

You can also delete all the USB controllers and hubs in Device Manager and restart the laptop. After restarting again the unit should automatically recognize the USB ports.
Also try to disable the sleep & Charge USB in the BIOS (if available).
