Satellite C50 - Has PSCJEE und Windows 7 Pro

verybody,

I have a problem that Windows 7 Professional on the Toshiba Satellite installation described in the header. I have the operational system (after disabling secure boot, activating the boot of CSM, getting HD MBR and reformatting).

But I can't find the proper drivers. Drivers for WiFi, LAN, USB etc. are missing, and Toshiba doesn't offer its support page. Toshiba does support Windows 8.1 for this laptop which is unacceptable because Windows 7 is still a BONE of life and I can't make friends with Windows 8.1.

Does anyone know what drivers I need and where can I get them?

Thanks in advance

Mike

Dear Mike

Vista is also living OS but nobody uses it and it has long been not supported for many models of laptop computers. Problem is that Toshiba and no matter what other laptop manufacturer can offer support for Win7 on all models of laptops forever.

After the departure of Win8 many models still supported for Win7, but I noticed that from the moment where Toshiba has begun to offer laptops that are equipped to support Win8.1 for Win7 was not so important no longer.
> Anyone know what drivers I need and where can I get them?
What drivers? You need to know what hardware your laptop and try to find the drivers for older models of Win7 supported. It seems so easy, but it is not so easy to identify and find it all.

For example, this model should be
-HM70 Express Chipset
-Intel GPU
Map - Atheros WLAN + BT
-Realtek LAN card

And so on.

    Hello

According to specifications specification , you got your laptop with the preinstalled version of Win8.1.
With other words, your laptop has been pre-installed with original recovery image designed for this model of laptop. Preinstalled recovery image should not be enabled.

Recovery image is also saved on the HARD drive and it is possible for you to create bootable recovery media (backup recovery) that you can use for the installation of original recovery image.
    > I'll reinstall my windows 8.1 which came preinstalled on my Toshiba laptop.
If I understand you right you try to use your laptop with the original recovery image again. Is this good?

I really don't know what's the problem here, but after the first start, connect your laptop to the Internet and complete the installation. Preinstalled Windows must be activated automatically.

  • Satellite C50 - Has - TV HDMI not recognized

    Hi all

I just bought the Toshiba Satellite C50-A-U19 (pscg6e) with 64-bit windows 8 3 days ago. Connecting HDMI to my TV worked for 2 days, but right now the phone does not display TV as a device.

I tried several starting sequences and tried to "find new hardware" in the Device Manager. I changed the HDMI ports on the TV. However, there is no sign that the TV is recognized. I tried using +.

but because no additional monitor is found, nothing happens.

I changed the HDMI cable and tested the cable (and the TV HDMI port) with a playstation.

I downloaded and installed the latest drivers to display on the toshiba site. I tried to use the Device Manager to see if updates are available, windows tells me that I already have the latest drivers.

I used the "System Restore" feature to restore the configuration of a day, but to no avail. I spent about 3 hours trying to solve this problem, and I'm so frustrated right now.

I am absolutely no idea of what else I can do at this point to get the HDMI to post a link to the top with my TV. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Please please please help me!

At first, I have to write something that has nothing to do with the problem described: Please create a preinstalled use recovery media creator Toshiba recovery media. It is very important to do with the new laptop.

As I see you have almost tried everything but as the last step I recommend to install the OS using this recovery media created. After that make this laptop will be new factory settings. It will be interesting to know if everything works again when the laptop has settings from factory again.

  • Satellite A100 - no sound with Windows XP Pro SP3

    Hello

I'm the reconstruction of a laptop Toshiba A100-PSAA9A-10U038 with a new installation of Windows XP Pro SP3.

At this point, I have not all sounds (Yes, the volume is set to the top).

As this is my first post I covered I hope that most of the bases as with SP3 and I installed all the updates available from Toshiba and Microsoft - well at least, I guess I have. I downloaded the latest updates from Realtek who advised in a general forum but no luck.

Device Manager tells me that there are problems with a "PCI Device" and a "unknown device", and I assume that one of these two is the culprit.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi mate

I think that you have installed the driver of his evil.
    See this page:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/satellite/A100/psaa9a-10u038/download?OS=22

you will find all of the Win XP drivers for this model of laptop.
As you can see there are two different Realtek drivers:
    V Realtek Audio Driver 5.10.0.5253
    -Realtek ALC861 Audio Driver 5.10.0.5200

To my knowledge, you have the Realtek HD audio Manager.
But before install you the audio driver SP3 must be installed, it seems, that you did
However, the most recent audio Realtek driver can be downloaded from the Realtek page directly.
Select this check box, and then choose Manager Realtek HD audio for Win XP.

    Should work.

  • Re: Need drivers Win7 for Satellite C50 - has

I need 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 for a C50 - A Satellite. Some of the Toshiba download page links are broken (404 Not Found error) and some of the ones I downloaded give a message that they are not for this computer. Technical support here in Israel could help.

They just referred me to the download page is not working. I am computer reseller, and I highly doubt I'll offer my Toshiba customers in the future.

What Satellite C50 - A do you have exactly? Can you please post the entire model name please?
    > I'm a computer dealer and I highly doubt I'll offer my Toshiba customers in the future.
Please do not be angry on me, but such statements are so childish to me. I mean that it can happen that there is a temporary technical problem on the download page and in the next few days it will be fixed.

Something like that can happen to any manufacturer. In this logic you can annually reduce the range of products in your store.

I have a C855D and I improved to 10. It worked fine other than the dreaded 'Start button/windows search' only works do not, but I heard it is random, and there are patches for it.

Just curious, your computer does not start at the top?

  • Satellite C50 - Has important questions for keyboard

I have a C50 - A Satellite with some of the key works and others aren't important issues for keyboard. For example, none of the keys work, S, and D do not work and when I press the space bar I can sometimes get the letter S to work.

I tried two new keyboards that made no difference, I searched and searched for info on the net and this seems to be a problem with Microsoft updates but no one can tell me which one. This same issue seems to affect other brands as well, so I can assume safely that is not a hardware failure.

Some have said I should disable or remove the xchi/reach in the Bios that is my only option. I won't complete a full restore because of the other installed software and yes I can do a back up, but why does anyone Toshiba meets all the concerns raised.

It is the first Toshiba I owned after many years using Dell products, and I have to say that after this experience I will not buy another Toshiba.

Can anyone confirm with certainty what is causing these issues, sorry I don't want assumptions, I'll try the Bios fix, but I have other than full recovery does everything else.

    Sorry I don't want assumptions

Sorry mate but I think it's always hard to say what could be wrong without touching the laptop and so you will need to check that certain workarounds have recommended.

For example, none of the keys work, S, and D do not work and when I press the space bar I can sometimes get the letter S to work.

It would be interesting to know if the external keyboard work correctly.
If you will not see the same keyboard problems using external USB keyboard, this problem is not related to the software (Microsoft updates). In my view, this would mean that the internal keyboard is defective.

However, you can also try to roll back the system to the first time... that would also eliminate updates Ms... and in the event that one of the updates would affect the functionality of keyboard, this work around should help to y for remedy.

  • Satellite C50 - B - 14 d - Windows 10 UEFI/MSC (and USB support)

Microsoft now offer Windows 10 free download
(although for the moment they call it Windows Technical Preview).

    I have it on my laptop C50 - B - 14 d. There are 2 separate but, I think, related problems.

First of all, back on the Windows 8 Toshiba Office puts different icons, but they do NOT appear on the desktop Windows 10 (quite obviously).

If I could download these routines, that would solve this problem, and also, I hope, the problem I'm about to describe.

The particular icon from Toshiba that I miss relates to the parameters (and may even call it).
This allows me to move from the laptop of UEFI to CSM and set a USB key instead of a HARD drive as the primary location of the operating system to load.

The advantage of the desktop icon is that it allows these changes from Windows itself.
To do this, laptops require generally the user presses a button (for example, F12) when the machine is fed up.

I used this a few weeks ago for load Linux Mint on the laptop.
The problem is that F12 does any more work in this context.
(I tried also in vain F2 and F8.)
Judging by the hurries of Windows loads, it seems that the machine is set to UEFI mode.

Please help me get this laptop for dual boot. Thanks in advance.

    Hi frank,.

I guess the icons called are Toshiba applications that were released for the Win 8.1 System.
Of course these apps software aren t compatible and made to win 10.

To be honest, I don't think you can use these software to Toshiba as part of win 10 right now.

First win them all 10 (Windows Technical Preview) isn't a final product, his release even no candidate. There are a lot of bugs, and I can't imagine than software which is not put to the test and to provide this system would work properly.

But your expereinec Win 10 is appreciated... I'm very interesting to win 10.
I'll try to test this system in the next time, but I'm not going to use it in my production environment. just as a test system.

  • Catalyst Control Centre: host application has stopped working - Windows 7 Pro

My father has a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 Professional and a 2nd monitor.  He has downloaded an update from Microsoft and now gets the error of the Catalyst Control Center and his mouse no longer works.  This isn't the first time.  What causes this error and how to fix it permanently?

You have win7 still posted a group of Vista?

How to fix; Run winupdate, under settings disable the updates recommended. Then, in the devices/drivers that have been updated rolling back the drivers. Or go to the site of Tosh, specific to your model and reinstall the appropriate drivers (graphics and touchpad at least)

  • Re: Satellite C50-B-158 - COA Windows necessary

    Hello

We just bought an and its total nine, but there is no windows below sticker. Are there changes how to get windows cd - key, if we still need? Is it hidden in the battery? Or bios?

Could you please provide information how to detect?

Windows 8 are so horrible, can't wait for free windows 10

    Thank you

    Hi Ploutonas

Maybe it sounds silly now but you do not need Windows product key and if you did, it would be useless. Why?

You got your machine with pre-installed operating system, the so-called recovery image. This preinstalled recovery image already contains the valid license code and when you connect your computer to the internet it would be activated automatically.

Copy of this recovery image is saved on the HARD drive and you should do is to create a recovery media bootable use preinstalled Toshiba recovery media creator. All this is described in the document s user manuals.

In the future, if there is a problem with the preinstalled OS or HARD drive you can use this recovery media and reinstall the original recovery image and start using your laptop with factory settings again. After the first connection there will be activated again. Good thing is you can use this recovery without limitation media, so there is no reason to have the license code. You don't need it.

Please create this support as soon as possible.

I hope you now understand how it works. If you still have questions, feel free to ask.

  • Satellite C50 - secure boot not configured correctly build 9600

    Hello

Recently bought a refurbished nine Toshiba Satellite C50 8.1 of windows operating system. Was very happy with it but found the message 'not properly configured SecureBoot 9600 building "watermark in the lower right corner of my office. '.

Decided to search the Internet for a resolution and after being gone on 3 Troubleshooting sites, discovered on the necessary BIOS configuration, but he warned that it was for experienced users who know their stuff on the technical aspects of computers. While I am computer literate, I'm not someone who likes to mess with the advanced options. Then, I came across a reliable computer blog that had a detailed post on SecureBoot.

(Link to the blog post and specfic):
    www.techrepublic.com/blog/Windows-and-Office/deal-with-the-secureboot-isn't-configured-correctly-watermark-in-windows-81/)

I thought that that would solve my problem, and I have to admit that he helped, telling me to use windows powershell as a precaution before using the BIOS Setup. I was glad I did as it came in saying that I have a policy of SecureBoot of the present failure on my laptop which case I have to request technical support for a specific system solution that would generally be an update of the firmware.

I tried to call, but the line was busy and estimated it might be easier to post this question on a forum.

If anyone has an answer please help as I would like to really activate SecureBoot if possible, I believe that computers must be set up with the best possible security options and makes me feel comfortable in knowing that it is implemented safely.

Someone commented on the blog and posted this solution:

The fix for the registry to remove the watermark is as follows.
    1. start the registry with the Admin (C:\Windows\regedit) rights Editor
    2. navigate to the following location
    -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SOFTWARE-Microsoft-Windows-CurrentVersion------policies------system.
    3. here, the two values "ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin ' and 'EnableLUA 'the value' 0'.

You can also try to activate the boot option secure in the BIOS (in which case it is not already selected)
To enter the BIOS, press F2 during the turn on/off the device.

Also recommend that you check this page from Microsoft:
