Satellite C55A - 1 K 6 - partition which is necessary for the Toshiba system recovery?

I have a laptop that Toshiba Satellite C55A - 1 K 6.

In the past, I deleted the Partition Recovery Toshiba by mistake and now I want to ask the cause of the thing of this...

When I go to disk management in Windows 8 (which preinstalled by Toshiba on my laptop) I see four partitions...

The first partition is close to 1 GB and I think his need for Windows 8, then I see C and D for my Windows 8 and at the end there is a 11 GB partition and it is hidden and it does not appear in my computer in Windows...

I just created 3 * 4.5 GB defined via Rescue Media Creator Toshiba Recovery DVD and now if I delete all the partitions on the hard drive, can I use these DVD media to restore my laptop to its original state, when I bought it or that I still need the recovery Partition on the HARD drive instead of using recovery DVd media?

If I delete all the partitions on the hard drive now, are these DVD media are enough to return to the first State independent or not?

Sorry for my bad English and I hope to describe things in my head... :)

Sincerely...

> in the past, I have deleted the error Toshiba Recovery Partition
It was really bad move since the recovery partition is necessary in order to create the recovery disk or recover the laptop with HARD drive recovery option.

> The first partition is close to 1 GB and I think that his need of Windows 8.
That s right.

> then I see C and D for my Windows 8
That s right

> and at the end there is a 11 GB partition and it is hidden and it does not appear in my computer in Windows.
It looks like the recovery partition. But I put t understand why you said earlier that you deleted the Toshiba recovery partition. Could you please clarify this statement?

> I just created 3 * 4.5 GB defined via Rescue Media Creator Toshiba Recovery DVD and now if I delete all the partitions on the hard drive, can I use these DVD media to restore my laptop to its first State

The recovery DVD set would be to format the HARD drive and would recreate once more all partitions.
The answer is: Yes, it will restore the laptop to the State as on the first day of purchase.

In general you don't need it more. With the help of your created recovery DVD you will be able to install the original recovery image whenever you want. In case that the HARD drive will be effective and exchanged with a new one, you can use these discs to install the original recovery image.

I'm french, so don't be afraid of mistakes.

I wonder if I can I repartition my HARD drive I want

First, I explain what I realized with the FAQ:
If Vista wouldn't boot, Toshiba Recovery in WinRE (eisa configuration) hidden partition offer we have to fix, and then use the DVD burn or HDDRecovery directory in E: to repair partition.

My question is if I don't have the DVD (or I lost it):
If I can I repartition my HARD drive (not the partition recovery, but expand the C: partition to reduce E :) partition without causing problems to recovery?)
In other words the recovery to the boot partition will update the position of recovering files in E:
And if it works, can I just copy - paste the E: c: HDDRecovery then E: while I format E:

    Hello!

If you copy the folder of disk recovery HARD complete with all the files it should normally work, but I do not know Mr. I had never tried it.

But if you have the Toshiba disk recovery is on the safe side. So, you can restore the factory settings whenever you want.

    Good bye

  • The recovery Partition is really necessary for normal operation?

    Hello

    W1-810.

After you have created the 2 USB key recovery, I deleted the recovery partition. He did with EaseUS partition manager pro. Immediately, the Tablet has crashed and is not booting now. I can boot from the USB key in the UEFI system recovery tools. Not tried to go further.

But the recovery partition is used during operation normal sp that is why it crashed, or what happened here just another problem that I created?

In fact, it seems that I got it working now. With diskpart, I deleted all 4 partitions on the disk, and then resumed next attempt then worked.

I have browsed the web for the last little while and cannot find any solution.

Latitude E6510 - how I manually access the Dell system recovery partition?

    Hi all

My Dell Latitude E6510 came with OEM Win 7 Pro x 64 installed. I am trying to perform a restore of the system to the factory setting.

I tried to access advanced without result Boot Options and pressing F12 during the boot process does not provide me with the option to repair and select the recovery partition, as if it is invisible. If I use the computer management > storage I do not see the hidden partition or if I do Diskpart it is listed.

How the BIOS or the system recognize it to boot from the recovery partition? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply but it appears not the solution you provided helped and I think you are incorrect since my original screenshot has allowed me to see the hidden partition, but I didn't know how to access it.

I got access once I used the app "diskpart" with commands like 'list readers', 'list volume' and 'assign volumes"to access the partition of the content.

Nevertheless, I have found that my recovery media is missing or damaged.

  • How to remove the partition of data (D) on the Toshiba Satellite

Hi, I have a Toshiba C660, which is part of the series of satellites. I got my laptop yesterday and while I was looking at the capacity of the hard drive that I have seen that there are 2 partitions. A partition is my C drive and the other is my D drive, drive D is called 'data' and I double click on the folder, there is a folder named "HDD Recovery." Is it not possible to delete this partition, because I don't think that this partition is necessary and I'd like to expand my C drive using the D drive space.

    Thank you

Partition D, your description, would appear to be a recovery partition. If so, it is provided so that the computer can be recovered/restored to the State it's in when the computer was delivered to you.

If you have other means in place to make this (backups of the entire system to storsge external, for example), the partition could be deleted and the space used for other purposes. If you do not have such a plan for backup in place, you can delete it anyway - it's your computer. However, it would be unwise, in my opinion - but it's not my computer.

    Happy computing and good luck.

  • Installed Windows on the bad disk partition (C :) and meant for the recovery disc (e :)))

    Hello world

My question is that I installed windows vista on the wrong partition. When I tried to do a re-install for partition recovery (e), I saw that the drive (C :) local was still installed with my last error when I first installed it on drive C: (OS) that is full. I didn't want to do, that I was going for the recovery disk (E :).

If I re - install windows on the recovery disk now, he will have to complete partitions. I'm just completely start over as if I first had an empty space to install an OS right the first time around when choosing the right partition.

It is on a latitude D630, where the BONE was full and the Data 2 which is the recovery disk (e) has free space that should have (c).

Any help is grateful, thank you.

Make sure that the important data that you have on the drive is backed up.

  • A software update is removable which was intended for the iPhone OS?

I have a 6 s iPhone, iOS 9.3.1 and I updated the last update but my iPhone 6s has not been good since.  Unable to connect to wifi properly.

The update was for the iPhone 6se but didn't know I shouldn't have installed.  This update may be removed from iPhone6s?

The update was for all iPhones 4 s from

I have a 6 more on 9.3.1 without problems - with regard to the WiFi

Please do the following and after each test to see if the problem is resolved - if yes, then you can omit the following steps - I tried to list them in ascending order of the effort at least on a Mac and / or an iDevice

    1. Please see recommended settings of WiFi routers and access Apple points.
    2. Check if the problem is related to a single device and if other devices connect normally-
    3. If the 2 answer is 'yes' - try to connect the device assigned to somewhere else if possible - coffee or the University
    4. Perform a forced - restart cela do not delete or purge all data and allows to solve many problems - here is how - press and hold the Off / On Home button and at the same time for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Allow normal startup upward.
    5. Settings - WiFi - < network name > - Click on forget network - do a restart forced according to 3 and then add again the network
    6. If home - reboot the router by unplugging it for 60 seconds (power) and the plug and reconnect - obviously, this step can be done in a public place like a cafe or airport or University. While you're there - make sure your router is working on the latest firmware (check manufacturer's website)
    7. Settings - general - reset - Reset network settings - remember to have very practical WiFi passwords because it erases the WiFi passwords
    8. If it is a new specific net device in your home - make sure that the router gives enough DNS for all numbers which must / wants a connection - stuff like the printer, Chromecast get overlooked - ask for more details on this so not sure option
    9. Backup the device to iTunes - restore as NEW (no) - see if solves problem - if yes - restore backup
    10. An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.

    Hello everyone

I want to upgrade the RAM for my Satellite Pro A120-189, model number PSACIE-05V021EN, as the laptop is quite slow (I use Vista 32 bit business).

    Hello

I checked the specification of your laptop on the Toshiba page and this laptop can be upgraded to 4 GB of RAM. This is why you must use two modules of 2 GB with DDR2 (533 MHz) technology.

You can get new RAM to each computer store or authorized service provider. I have good experiences with high-quality Kingston modules.
