When I shot down my system to Windows XP edition family of pre-installed Vista (Satellite A100) I went to the support section of the official site of Toshiba and downloaded all available for my laptop to XP. And everything has been working fine until now. Oh, I think this chipset driver I got from the Intel site.

  It seems that the Vista driver works also on Windows 7! :)

  In addition it s not necessary to update the BIOS for the installation of sound card drivers because first of all, you should try the correct driver.

  My mother has a Toshiba Satellite C650D and password protect the hard disk. She forgot the HARD drive password today! I want to format the drive and reinstall Windows. I changed the boot sequence in the BIOS to boot from the CD drive and I like it start I press F12, but it goes directly to the HARD drive password screen.   I bought a Toshiba Satellite C650D 2 months ago and I used the Windows 7 that came with it, thinking that it was fine and dandy until a few days ago, he started having random lag spikes.
