Satellite C660D-102 - no way to activate WLAN

Hello
I had the laptop Satellite C660D-102 renovated, with Windows 7 64 bit. I can't find how to activate the WLAN. FN + F8 did not. In the BIOS no option to disable or enable WLAN, I even found it in the Device Manager, it shows just the LAN card and none of the yellow question marks. Anyone have any ideas?

P.S. Sorry for my English, iam still learning English language :)

See you soon!

According to the specifications of the laptop your C660D-102 has WIFI Realtek 802.11(b/g/n card) 13ch-RTL8188CE and which should be listed in Device Manager.
What is your laptop pre-installed with original Toshiba (WIN7 64-BIT HOME PREMIUM) recovery image?

  • Satellite C660D-102 blocks when past to the screen saver

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite C660D-102 of Windows 7 OS. Basically, if my computer is left unattended, and goes to the screen saver, it freezes and has to be restarted by holding down the power button. If I'm listening to the music, makes a loud noise when it does this until it is turned off.

Anyone has any ideas of what could be the cause?
    Thanks, Matt

+ The message was edited: changed name of the laptop.

    Hi Matt

To be honest, this laptop T series is unclear to me. What is the correct model name or model number?
Are you using the original pre-installed OS?
Have you noticed this problem since the day where we?
Do you use the standard Windows screensaver?
Did you install additional software that is running in the background?

Sorry for these questions but it is not easy to give you simple answer and specifies what may be the problem.

  • Re: Satellite C660D-102 - how to copy Windows on DVD?

Hello people. I bought a new Toshiba Satellite C660D-102.

The seller told me to copy Windows on DVD soon to open the laptop. Don't know where to take the Windows installation files. You have encountered this problem? How can I solve this problem.

    Hey,.

I think that the seller meant to create the Toshiba recovery disc that contains a picture of the factory settings. In the case where you can start t more Windows or the drive HARD must be replaced, you can use this disk to restore Windows with all the drivers and tools. With other words, you get factory settings back, the same settings as you bought the laptop so it of very useful and easy.

You can create this disk if you start creative media recovery Toshiba which is preinstalled on your computer. According to the installation, you need certain blank DVD media. I recommend high-quality mediums, type: DVD-R from Verbatim or TDK. They work well and others here can recommend them also.

Last but not least, you should also read your user manual. It contains interesting information on this subject and other interesting things. It s also preinstalled on your laptop. :)

But it s really great, the seller gave you an indication in this regard. If you check the other forum discussions you will read a lot others that they forget to create this disc and are not able to restore the factory settings if Windows could not start.

  • Really random issues with Satellite C660D-102

Hi, I've had this laptop for about a month now, and everything was fine until a few days ago, when a few strange things started to happen.

Firstly, at random times that it doesn't let me scroll using the touchpad and secondly it wont let me anything by clicking on the task bar or tabs in my browser and sometimes nothing on the screen is clickable at all. Another problem, it's just random, I'll be striking and flashes the right-click options to the top, and if I press left click, it does not, right-click options keep showing.

It all started at the same time, so I guess they are related. The only solution is if I use the Task Manager to stop the Explorer, then run it again and then it works again for a while but it's just unpredictable when it will happen, but happens about 60% of the time I use the laptop. It gets really frustrating now that I have a lot of work time and slows me down having to run the Manager of tasks all the time.

Please can someone shed some light on what they think may be the cause and how can I solve it. Thanks :)

    Hello

have you installed programs recently that can affect a laptop normal functioning? run antivirus software to check the virus if you have. Restore factory settings, then.

  • Impossible to activate my NETWORK card on my new Satellite C660D - 10M

    HY

My laptop (Toshiba Satellite C660D - 10M) supplied with Free-DOS. I installed WIndows 7 and all the necessary drivers from Toshiba Web site except the driver for my network card. I can't go to the Internet because of this!

    From this page: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU

    I get the correct information:

    Laptop - Satellite - Satellite C - C660D - PSC0WE series - Windows 7 32 bit.

    (A) it has no CHIPSET driver for my laptop here? But I think they are merged with the DISPLAY DRIVER and I could install their own.
    (B) DRIVER LAN - after installing this driver in my DEVICE MANAGER-> network controller has an exclamation mark and is not installed.

    Check the BIOS - enabled.

Uninstalled, found my specific NETWORK card driver from realtek website. Realtek RTL8139/810 X Family Fast Ethernet. -> Installed the driver for win7, - NOTHING!

I don't know what to do next?

    Please can you help me?

You're right about driver chipset. By AMD based laptops it is integrated with the display driver.

The same LAN card has Satellite C660D PSC0UE so the right Win7 32 bit LAN driver you can find HERE. He has to work. All available drivers are put to the test.
    Please test and send feedback.

    Have you installed driver WLAN?
Make sure that the unknown device in Device Manager list is certainly related to LAN and WLAN not the card.

    Bok ;)

This means the card WLAN is not listed in Device Manager?
Some unknown device is listed in Device Manager?

To be honest, this issue is not known to me but if it please try to set the BIOS to default settings and check again.
I put t know if this will help but you can back up all your data and install again recovery image to check if the same problem persists with the factory settings.

    Hello
I have to post my message again, my old account was deleted because it bore the name of Toshiba inside.

-I turned down my anti-virus and firewall
-J' tried a system restore on the eve of the update of the bios, but it did not because of a virus while it was off.

The wi - fi card is always displayed in the Panel of the unit, and it is said in the work.

  • Satellite C660D-124 cannot display Web pages, but connected to the internet

    Hi all

This is my first post and I hope someone can advise me.
    I have a Satellite C660D-124. running win 7.

I have a netgear router on my pc and the laptop is connected to my home network.
I'm hosting wifi using the mac address of the laptop to access control on the router.
I turned it on and off the power, but nothing helped.

When I click on the wifi down icon to the right it says that I'm connected to the network.
When I select the network connection, it says excellent signal.

When I open google I get a white screen saying loading tool bar, but it never loads.
If I plug in an Ethernet cable, nothing happens.
I run AVG Security, I tried to disable the firewall and nothing happened.

So basicially my laptop says I'm connected but... I am not connected. !!

    all responses appreciated

    Donal

    Donal salvation

If I understand you right you have the same problem using a LAN and WLAN connectivity. Is this good?

If so, I think that there is a problem with your router. Reboot the router and check all the settings there.

In the worst cases it set to the factory settings and basic stuff just for the Internet without playing with other settings there.

Did you maybe test it connect your laptop to another router?

  • Update disk on Satellite C660D

    Hi all

    I'm new to this forum,
I would like to upgrade my hard drive but I don't know what to choose.
Nothing too fancy, I would like to know how to find the right one.
Is there a way that tells you that compatible, as it is for the RAM?

    Help, please
    Thank you in advance.
Toshiba satellite c660d pscole... hope this helps

As much as I know that is not a HDD compatibility list, but to find that good drive HARD should not be problematic. Question is: what is the reason for Exchange of HARD drive or upgrade?

You need more capacity, or you want to use the faster HARD drive and increase the performance of s for laptop?
Maybe you should think about SSD. For some basic info, check it please http://storage.toshiba.eu/cms/en/index.html

  • Need drivers for Satellite C660D - 10L

    Hallo!

I just unpacked my laptop Toshiba Satellite C660D - 10L, and the problem is that I can't find the drivers. My computer was delivered without BONES in there, so I'm going to install Windows 7 or XP, but the problem is that I can't find the apropriate drivers... There is no drivers for 10L.
My biggest problems are drivers of the WLAN card.

Can someone tell me what is wifi chipset in this laptop? Realtek? Broadcom? Atheros? and what model... I found some drivers for 660D, but are not specified for 10L.
Also when I try to find my computer by serial number or part number it does not... I has yet to start using it and I'm already little bit disappointed with support.

    Just, without panic.

I checked the Toshiba download page and I ve found the drivers for Win7 32 & 64 bit. Therefore, there is no reason to panic.

Go to http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and check the download for Satellite C660D PSC0W. You will find everything you need.

Windows XP Home edition's old operating system and Toshiba doesn't support it for this new model of laptop.
