Satellite C660D-124 cannot display Web pages, but connected to the internet
Hi all
This is my first post and I hope someone can advise me.
I have a Satellite C660D-124. running win 7.
I have a netgear router on my pc and the laptop is connected to my home network.
I'm hosting wifi using the mac address of the laptop to access control on the router.
I turned it on and off the power, but nothing helped.
When I click on the wifi down icon to the right it says that I'm connected to the network.
When I select the network connection, it says excellent signal.
When I open google I get a white screen saying loading tool bar, but it never loads.
If I plug in an Ethernet cable, nothing happens.
I run AVG Security, I tried to disable the firewall and nothing happened.
So basicially my laptop says I'm connected but... I am not connected. !!
all responses appreciated

If I understand you right you have the same problem using a LAN and WLAN connectivity. Is this good?
If so, I think that there is a problem with your router. Reboot the router and check all the settings there.
In the worst cases it set to the factory settings and basic stuff just for the Internet without playing with other settings there.
Did you maybe test it connect your laptop to another router?

Program cannot display web page on start up - replacements all & freeze safe mode
Hi, on my pc startup (Vista) after the initial office, he's going on a blank white page with information i. Message is "the program cannot display Web page". If I try to start the task manager that flashes briefly upward, then the white screen resumes. If I try again, I get a black screen. While the screen is in place I can't do anything else or run programs at startup upward until this screen.
If I boot in safe mode, the top of desktop and icons here, but I can't do anything else - even closed. I have to press the power button until the PC is emerging.
I don't know how to do BACK guests or find how to work around this problem. I tried several searches but all the answers are in line to remove this or that or a scanner. I don't have access to all programs do. Even the answers on this site so far await you to be able to run other programs of some sort. I'll have to write this on PC of the wife. Any help / suggestions gratefully received.
Thank you, Nick
You can use Windows Defender in offline mode, use a PC secure and download and use:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-is-Windows-Defender-offline
And then use removable media or a CD/DVD and create the startup and startup disk in your infected PC and then run a full system scan. You have no need to start your system in this way.

Error "Cannot display Web page" when the wireless internet access.
Original title: dubious connection
seriously, my internet connection Wireless plays up.
It works fine on my laptop, but on my desktop it will work well for maybe a few minutes and then all of a sudden that take forever to load pages or just say 'cannot display Web page' and that will be the end of it. Also says that I'm connected to the internet and internet access. I have done all troubleshooting, clean boot, disable the antivirus/firewall, reset tcp/ip stack, network troubleshooting, nothing is. It works for two minutes then boom, slow as a snail and then not working. If I disconnect my wireless network and reconnect it seems working again for a few minutes then slow again. Very frustrating, any advice appreciatedThis has only started happening last week? You have McAfee on your desktop PC?
If so,.
See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee
You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.
I had to run the removal of McAfee Development tool, they mention a few times before and it caused a problem with the license if the PC was not connected to the internet during the abduction. Due cat of McAfee support reset their files in order to allow the relocation-reactivation. Here is their link cat - McAfee - media contains the link to the cat

I got McAfee, but the connection has started working again on its own so I thought I was clear of problems. However, when I checked it says he was doing routine checks the updates in vain when I told it to do a manually. So stick with McAfee you don't follow their procedure of fix would have upgraded my PC at risk by not updated and, like other McAfee ads have since explained, the application did not refer to its database of threats correctly [and this could explain part of the variability of the symptoms of failure but all involved loss of internet connection]. Actually, I removed McAfee then installed Microsoft Security Essentials rather & my answer IE is faster I knew it [even though I had the Add-ons McAfee disabled for centuries].

Network Assistant will not connect pc to the LAN, but connect to the internet properly
My main PC had been connected to a local network of four PC but abruptly dropped from the network. I can connect to the internet OK, but the wizard does not reconnect me to the local home network. I read other articles on test and checks and everything seems to be okay, but when I check my network places other computers are running and are not displayed.
Try the following and see if it helps:
"You can not access the shared files and folders or browse computers in the workgroup with Windows XP"

Tried for a week but the same message "probably not connected to the Internet.
You can if you want also that those are optional for a reason
Given that GE has not installed a newer driver, you can to see if your problem is resolved by the option updates from M$.
Worse thing that can happen is that GE will say that there is a newer driver.

Wireless connected but cannot display Web page
Hi, I have a HPG7094 laptop with Vista 64 bit installed.
I tried for days to fix my problem. My wireless connection has stopped working. It says it is connected to my wireless - excellent - but when I try to open the internet I get the error IE cannot open the Web page. I deleted my network and tried to re-login only to get the same error. I did a clean install on my laptop and downloaded the drivers on the HP site, but it's always the same.
In the lower RH it says 'Unidentified network' (and the name of my network) access: Local only. If I connect the ethernet cable, it works fine and if I connect my mobile dongle orange it works very well.
I have other laptops and desktop computers and all these connect wirelessly without problem. I have tried to 'fix' the wireless connection and not to renew the period of INQUIRY, still no joy. I connected on the router from my office and changed the channel from "auto" to "6" and "11", but this has no effect.
Someone at - it ideas, what could cause this problem, any help would be highly appreciated.
Gail
Hello
After a couple of hours last night looking through this forum, I came across a post by Paul Tikkanen, January 21, with a link to another driver for the Atheros wireless. I downloaded and now my wireless works!
Thank you for all your help and keep up the good work!

Cannot display web pages on explorer 8 without using the left/right scroll bar.
I rebooted my system yesterday and now when I visit a web page on explore 8, I have to use the left/right scroll bar to view the entire page. Before I rebooted and am went full-screen page would correspond to the size. The graphic and type are larger, and I wouldn't change a thing.
On the command bar, there is a marked entry Page. Until it clicks. (If you do not see this, right click on the toolbar of the tab and then click the command bar to add it to the other toolbars). Now, go to Zoom and the size of the text and set each as required to get the page fit on the screen. For me it works with the format as smaller text and 150% Zoom, but it may be different for you depending on the size of your screen and your graphics hardware. If it's just a problem of zoom (and you don't need to adjust the size of the text), then there is a Zoom control on the right-hand side of the bottom bar State which also allows you to adjust the Zoom level on what meets your needs (and there are a little faster to join then the menu bar).
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Cannot print Web pages, but can print documents
setting up a new printer... wireless deskijet hp 3050 has...
print fine documents/photos of the laptop and even my iPad... but when I try to print a Web page, it comes out
completely empty... Well, with the exception of headers and feet?
Ok thank you. You have HP Web Print enabled as a plug-in in your IE 9? If so, disable it.
If this does not work, do a Windows Update again and again until there is no more. Restart your PC.

Web page unable connect to the ACS server
Hi I install DCC 5. -in vmware workstation. SecureCRT can connect to ACS and can see the running-config SSH. But I can not connect to its web page. When I entered the username and password(acsadmin/password), I got the error message "invalid user name" or password specified. Even if I set up a new virtual machine of ACS, I always have the same question. Can someone give some suggestions? Thank you
No, you must set via GUI only. CLI can be used to create the cli administrator accounts. User name for GUI and CLI are different.
Kind regards
