Satellite C70 - A - 15 d - Touchpad no longer works

My touchpad no longer works. Windows 8.1.

New drivers can not be installed. MOMENTUM: error message bad touchpad. Synaptics: obviously empty zip file after downloading.

Any idea where I can get the zip file of work?

Are there function keys that enables / disables the touchpad?

Thanks for the tips!

    Hello

Last week, I received my new Toshiba C70 - B - 21 c. After the updates of windows, the touchpad no longer works. My mouse doesn't. I tried the FN + F5 and FN F9 options, but no result. Also download the driver from the toshiba website has no effect.

Several reboots and also remove the touchpad system settings do not help. The touchpad works in the first screen, but after entering my username and password, it stucks.

  • Touchpad no longer works after update BIOS on Satellite A500-1GL

    Hello world

I just bought my laptop Satellite A500-1GL today. I started at the top and plays a bit (nothing serious). The touchpad worked very well at the moment.

Then I discovered this tool to update the material and the update of the BIOS that worked without any problems. After I restarted the laptop, BIOS, loaded the default values of the installation and recorded.
After that Windows 7 (x 64) started the touchpad no longer works...

I downloaded the driver here and installed again once, still does not. I went into the BIOS, disabled the touchpad (I thought that maybe it's a bug...) and started again. It still does not...

I enabled it again in the BIOS, tried to push the function + F9, but it still does not... Finally, I used the recovery and installed a Windows 7 costs.
    But unfortunately it still doesn't.

Now, I'm out of ideas, can anyone help?
Is there a chance to get the older version of BIOS to downgrade it?

    Thanks in advance ;)

    Hello

It seems strange that after update Bios touchpad no longer works.

    > Is there a chance to get the older version of BIOS to downgrade it?

To be honest, I don't know where to find. In any case, do a search on Google. Perhaps, other users of the forum can give you a link to download.
The downgrade of the Bios is riskier upgrade procedure. So, be careful the next time...

  • Satellite A350-212 - touchpad no longer works

Hi all, I have some problems with my FN keys, my touchpad no longer works, in addition to this, when I press the FN key, I don't see any icon on the top of the screen... Two days ago, all this did not work properly... An error is given by the program called Tossiba assist, its written exactly this way: this system cannot use accessibility... Could you please help on this issue?
My operating system is Windows vista 32-bit (service pack 1)

Finally, sorry for my English if I make mistakes, it is not my mother tongue...

    Thanks in advance

    Try to restart flash cards.
Start > all programs > Toshiba > utilities > restart Flash Cards

After doing this press FN button several times to see if Flash Cards are still on the top of the screen.
If you see Flash cards again use the FN + F9 key combination to activate the touch pad again.

    Hello

I guess that your laptop supports ELAN touchpad driver.
I read in another thread that in the past, an update of the ELAN touchpad driver has caused a few problems and the touchpad is not working properly...

That's why I recommend you to uninstall the driver for the touchpad MOMENTUM of the system.
After that, restart the laptop and check if the touchpad would work again...

In case the touch pad work, download the driver of the ELAN touchpad from the page of the Toshiba driver and install again.

So the latest driver, you can download the Toshiba site:

  • Satellite X 200-219 - the touchpad does not work as it should

    Hi all

I recently bought a 2nd hand Toshiba Satellite x 200-219. Had some problems with it that I have overcome now, except one... The touchpad does not work as it should. I think that the cable has been damaged at some point.

So I'm wondering if I should use the same ribbon cable to connect the keyboard to the motherboard or can I get one of a different model of PC Toshiba laptop?

I tried searching on the net for advice but have resulted in nothing so thought I would try the forums.

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

I think you can use the items to the satellite X 205 series since this seems to be the same series as X 200:
Found some related parts the touchpad:
    Satellite X 205 / X 200 touchpad Board with cable: reference number: K000047950
    Satellite part number for the TOUCH PAD FFC X 205 / X 200: K000047980

But why you n t come into contact with a Toshiba authorized service provider in your country and order the part necessary and compatible?

  • Satellite Pro C50-A-153 - Touchpad does not work properly

First, sorry for my bad English.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro C50-A-153, the problem is its touchpad and not work correctly, the mouse does not move when I move the finger on the pad, it seems that if I had to roll the bar "or the mouse wheel.

Sometimes, the 'mouse' works for 20 seconds and then again the same thing. An external mouse works fine.

It is not the problem of the functions "Fn". I tried to stop, reset the battery and press the power button to 50seconds. I also tried to uninstall the drivers for the Touchpad, and I think that I tried to change all the properties on the 'Control Panel - mouse'.

Can someone help me with this?

    Thank you.

On most computers laptop Toshiba is installed the Synaptics touchpad driver. With this driver, there are available additional touchpad settings. Try it please change these settings and turn off the features you don't need.
