Satellite C70D-B-317 - Ram upgrade

Hello everyone,
The Toshiba Sat C70D-B-317 (PSCLEE01L009FR) is on its way and I don't have it yet, but I would like to know if there is a way to add little Ram for this machine without having to open everything?
Also, is it possible to change the HD in the future under the same conditions?

Sorry, but this is my first laptop and as a Mac user, I'm completely lost with all these models and different serial numbers.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

Thierry

1. Yes, you can upgrade your RAM, this laptop has 2 slots with a standard of 4 GB, so if you want to you can put a more than 4 GB. With 2 x 4, you have two channels and works much faster than single

I don't know if your HARD drive can upgraded e. When it is not possible you can always buy an external HARD drive

I hope that I helped you

  • Satellite A500 - 17 X - RAM upgrade problems

Hello. I hope someone can help me with this one because it's driving crazy me!

I recently bought a Satellite A500 17 X from a friend at work. As it has the standard 4 GB, I pulled out and 2x4gb bought to upgrade. The problem here is that the laptop is simply not start with any other RAM sticks in place. I spent over £50 and took the first set back as I thought he had a problem with them.

    The specifications of the sticks:

    PNY 4 GB
    DDR3 8500
    1066 MHz

If someone can help me here, I would be very grateful!

    Thank you.

When you want to upgrade RM, it is important to use 100% compatible and also produces high quality.
I ve checked specification and your laptop can be upgraded up to 8 GB of RAM. Compatible RAM of 4 GB modules have the PA3677U-1M4G part number.

Order these Rams announced everything will be OK.

By the way: best Rams offer Kingston so you can also check which modules you can buy for your laptop. Check it here.

  • Satellite C50-B-14F - RAM upgrade - how?

    Hello

I would like to add (+ 4 GB) memory RAM for my Satellite C50-B-14F.

But there is no instruction on this topic in the user s guide.
At the present time, there is a memory of 4 GB (software Speccy says that there is a 4.00 GB single channel DDR3 @ 797 MHz (11-11-11-28) RAM inside my pc), and I want to go up to 8.
I could learn how to choose it is good?

    Thank you in advance.

Because of the design of computers laptop specific upgrade user RAM is not supported, and this is the reason why you found nothing in the document of the user manuals.
Slots of RAM are placed under the hood, and if you want to have full access to the RAM modules, you must remove the lower cover.
Problem is that if you do it on your own this will void your warranty, it should be the dome by authorized service provider.

In my opinion, you should contact Toshiba service nearest and ask for help. I mean this is not so problematic, and I think that it cannot be so expensive.

Theoretical, you can do it alone, but you should think about valid warranty.

I bought a new patriot 1 GB ram sodimm pc 2700 as an upgrade to my satellite a50-109. After installation of the equipment on the back of the laptop, I had some problems with windows xp bsod (blue screen of death). Errors 0x000000e8. After recording with microsoft, I had to reinstall the drivers... Can someone help me please!

    Thank you
    Alex

It seems that you are using a module of memory without a name. These modules can malfunction. It s nothing unusual.
So I use and always buy modules memory Kingston or Infineon brand, for example.
I have goggled autour and actually ntfs.sys error might have something to do with the fault memory.
It s whatever the module has been properly recognized in the BIOS. Certain areas of memory may malfunction

In my opinion, you should check if the laptop will be functions correctly with the modules of memory recommended by Toshiba

  • Satellite L500D - SSD and RAM upgrade question

    Hello

Who are you? Ttime for some great upgades for this laptop and some few questions and I'll be happy to answer for me.

    1. is there an empty space to install a second hard drive SSD?

    2. If there is not can put off the hard drive DVD and in the empty space to fit an SSD? I need something like that? ---> fb4d http://cgi.ebay.com/CF-Card-2-5-Serial-ATA-SATA-SSD-HDD-UDMA-Adapter-/190537923405?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c5cf1
    This is an adapter.

    3. the quantity of RAM max supported Satellite L500D? I installed 2GB and I have an extra plug and I want to install a single 4 GB RAM and 6 GB RAM total

Its sounds good to you this idea? I thank you and have a nice day

    Hey,.

As you can see on the underside of the laptop doesn t supports a second HDD because there is no second Bay HARD drive on the underside.
The map you posted is unofficial so no one can say whether it compatible s part or not. For laptops Satellite AFAIK there is no CD/DVD Bay adapter, but you can ask a provider of service authorized for more details.

The maximum RAM capacity depends on your phone model correct. L500D was delivered with different hardware, so you must post your exact model laptop number.

  • Satellite A100 - 003 PSAARE - Ram upgrade question

    Hello

    I have a Satellite A100-003 (PSAARE) Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit installed and 2 GB of RAM (1024 + 1024 DDR2 533 MHz).

I want to improve my system with 2x2gb DDR2 667 MHz Ram.
When I use 2x2gb Rams, my system recognizes them?
Or he will recognize less than 4 GB?

Is there a link between the ram and 32 bit OS?
    What are your suggestions?

    Thank you.

    > When I use 2x2gb Rams, my system recognizes them?
    > Or it will recognize less than 4 GB

You use the 32-bit Windows System. This means that your Windows operating system can recognize 3.2 GB of RAM max. It's max possible RAM for 32-bit systems.

But as far as I know that it takes in charge max 2 GB of RAM. Has been mentioned in the page manual user 22 and 33

I want to ask you for advice. I would like to change my 2 x 512 MB (SO - DIMM DDR2 533 MHz PC4300) to 2 x 2 048 MB (I use Vista 32 bit and I know that it will not use 4 GB of RAM, but I heard it is better to use two same modules). But I would ask what module I can use:

    1st http://kingston.mironet.cz/2048mb-sodimm-ddr2-533mhz-cl4-kingston+dp71838/

    or

    2nd http://kingston.mironet.cz/2048mb-sodimm-ddr2-667mhz-cl5-kingston+dp71837/

Thank you for your advice :)

    Hello

If you have the choice between the 667 Mhz and 533 Mhz module.

The fact is that both modules must be compatible, but speed supported depends on the bus front end (FSB)
If the FSB is 533 Mhz so your 667 Mhz will ONLY work at 533 Mhz.

Simply put, said that the FSB might slow the speed of the memory.
Then you should check what FSB, supports your laptop.

You could install a free tool like Everest Home edition to a diagnosis of the hardware.

  • Satellite A200-10W - max RAM upgrade

Hello.. I would like to know what is the max ram I can use to my laptop if I install the service pack for vista,.
can my laptop get 8 gb and vista can use all of them?
    Thnx for all :)

    Hello

The max RAM always depends on installed chipset.
I put t know what chipset is in charge of your laptop but you could install a tool of diagnosis of equipment as for example Everest home edition and you could check chipset.

Check the chipset specifications and properties on the Intel page.
Then, you need to know what amount of RAM max is possible.

With regard to 4 GB media.
Akuma is right. The 32-bit OS can see only 3.2 GB
Only the 64 bit OS can handle more than 3 GB of RAM

  • Satellite R630-13F - RAM upgrade

    Hi all

My R630 is faced with a newly added software for Photoshop (CS5 version). Whenever it is quite slow to open and try to merge the picture for the economy.

I was wondering if I can upgrade the RAM. With a very limited knowledge, I would like to know if I need to buy an additional (if there is a vacancy for it), or I need to get one to replace the old.

I think increasing the memory to 4 GB, but I was wondering if it will be enough for Photoshop. Thanks a lot for any input.

    Best wishes

    Tim

    Hey Buddy,

RAM upgrade is not a problem because it is easy and can be done in a few minutes.

Satellite R630 has Intel HM55 chipset, and the maximum capacity is 8 GB. This means that you can install 4GB module in each memory location. Also an upgrade to 4 GB is not a problem, you can keep your 2 GB module and just buy a new 2 GB module. The module DDR3-10066 part number is PA3676U-1M2G.

If you have more questions just after, again :)

  • Satellite A110-174 - RAM upgrade questions

    Hello

    I have a Satellite A110-174

I want to buy a RAM module (it uses ddr2 ram, 533 MHz), but it seems impossible, in view of their.
I can only find the frequencies of 800 or higher.

I can use them or they give me problems / incompatibilities?

Can I mount 1 module or to buy 2 modules?

The motherboard will read up to 4 GB or need a Bios Update?

    Thank you

Satellite A110-174 can be upgraded up to 4 GB of RAM.

In order to use a feature of dual channel RAM, two modules must be used.
This means module of RAM 2 GB in each slot.

The 4 GB RAM limit is caused by Mobile Intel 945 GM Express chipset
http://Ark.Intel.com/de/products/27857 as well as the Intel Core CPU T1350 http://ark.intel.com/de/products/27243
The processor supports the 533 Mhz FSB (front side bus) and the RAM modules will run max at 533 Mhz.

Thus, you should use the DDR2-533 modules

But sometimes, you should be able to use the DDR2 - 667 Mhz modules. In this case the 667 Mhz speed module will be clocked at 533 Mhz

  • Satellite A105-S2051 and XPSP3 - upgrade RAM and hot key error

    Merry Christmas together,
Please can some mention help: have Windows XP HOME SP3

    1. recently tried to improve my Satellite A105-S2051 950Mo to MAX 2 GB RAM. I have x 2 places available.
2 a RAM problem, pc would not even turn when the two new ram sticks have been installed.
    3. If x 1 old used module and x 1 new stick of ram, pc would not record even installed extra RAM? After discussion with the manufacturer recommended to also upgrade my old BIOS suppliers, I did it via the load - SAME support.
    4. then they recommend - sent back 4 RAM chip, they returned with the type of chip 8,.
    5. upon receipt, PC would not turn on once more if the two 1 GB installed? While could then install x 1 old + x 1 new, pc recognizes the additional ram 1 x, 1.36 GB memory stick.
    6. have you tried to load keyboard shortcuts available on download media files to find error - Toshiba ACPI common Modules (TVALD) missing?
8 tried to load files TVALD, to then find error - TVALZ DRIVER FAILED? aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
Any help would be most appreciated, Please help!

    Kind regards

    Paul.

There is no reason to discuss on the RAM upgrade, because things are clear: RAM upgrade will be successful if you use only compatible modules and module 1 GB for your laptop with PA3411U-2M1G part number.

Use two of them, and everything will be OK.

    Back to WXP stuff.
Installation of WXP can be quite complicated as all things, especially specific tools Toshiba and public services must be installed in the correct order. Before you begin to install Toshiba stuff, you must install common modules. It is a fundamental tool, and it must be installed first. Problem is that we support for your laptop model page, I can't find common modules for download.

What you can try is to install from the European page. You can find it HERE. Check it out.
