  Hello. Deploy a Satellite 1900-303 with two USB ports. One of the ports stopped working. I guess it's permanently broken. Just browse the site, it seems that the easient of thing to do would be to get a Port Replicator - one of them:

  As far as I know the unit supports USB 1.1
  So I guess if you are using a USB hub external, USB ports work with USB 1.1 properties.
  Maximum data transfer should be 12 Mbps

  Thanks for the reply and the information

  I suggest you start as a result of this document for Troubleshooting print quality problems, should be able to help you to get black ink works again. If it isn't, you can also try manually cleaning your print head to make sure there isn't a buildup preventing out black ink.

  If the printer still won't print black ink, it is perhaps an accumulation inside the print head or on the beak and to help solve this problem, you can follow the instructions in Bob_Headrick in this post on soak your printhead.

  If after these three things, black is not always print, it's a hardware problem with the printer print head and I suggest to call HP Support and inquire about their exchanges of and the trade program.

  When I try to print, all the colors, including gray, print very well, but black does not print.  I tried two new cartridges which do not solve the problem.  Also, I rebooted the computer and the printer and clean the print head.  Printer has two years.  Any ideas for troubleshooting?  I'm on Mac OS X Lion (10.7.5) thank you.

  I'm really sorry to hear about your Photosmart 5510 aligning properly and not printing in black ink. I understand that you have tried to align the printer and it has not solved the problem. I want to help you and make you my best to do it!

  At this point, I do not pretend to try new cartridges (especially black) and trying to do the alignment again. I found a useful troubleshooting guide following which solves the problem, I hope.

  Here's the guide I recommend following step by step:

  A "alignment failed" Error Message appears on the printer

  * Tip - make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet.

  Please do not hesitate to post your results here and I will help you further if necessary.

• Windows 7 will not print on j4550 all-in-one!

  Have tried - repeatedly - install the complete software Windows 7 updated and drivers but without success. Uninstalled every time - even used Uninstall tool - still no luck. Running a Pavilion dv7 upgraded to Windows 7. It seems to install properly, but when I try to print a Test Page, nothing happens. • My (not router) usb hub no longer works with the new update, and when it's plugged in disables all other devices.

  As of October 11, 2012, my 7 port hub Belkin USB-To-Go is no longer recognized by Windows. It worked without problem until today when I installed updates. When I plug it in, nothing is displayed, but for some reason, USB ports are disabled. I tried it on several ports without result. I contacted Belkin, and it seems more likely to be a problem of driver within Windows.

• Equium A60 - Generic not recognized USB Hub

  Equium A60, XP Home Edition SP3.

  My Tevion USB 2.0 combo card reader is reported as being a USB device fails, is not recognized and implemented in the device as an unknown device manager.

  Here's the riddle:
  When I plug it into the same old PC under XP Pro SP3, it is recognized and works.
  When I plug it into a new PC running Vista Home Premium, it is recognized and works

  And finally, and especially:
  When I plug a USB 1 Hub 4 ports on the A60 Equium and then plug the Tevion USB2.0 card reader this Tevion card is recognized and works. There are a lot of bleating like a lost sheep on the run faster if connected to a USB 2 port, but if I plug it directly into the port from Toshiba it does not at all.

  Any ideas to solve this problem or similar experiences?

  Is the gap of 4-port hub powered by the USB port of your satellite or is it a KVM?

  If self-powered it s then it s obviously needs a lot of power combo card reader which can be provided by all of your computers, but not the satellite.

• Toshiba e-studio 206 does not print USB cable

  Hello! We have Toshiba e studio 206 which is installed with the usb cable.
  Official drivers for e-studio 206 granted official website (here and later - a Russian) had been installed without error, the device shows any errors as well and can be used as a copier or even scan via the usb cable.
  But when I try to print at least a test page - an error in the spooler window.

  If Windows 7 (32 bit) - in the window 'Printers and devices' there is the printer itself AND a strange unknown device called TOSHIBA e Studio 206 (COM3).

  Have you installed other printers or drivers next to Toshiba e-studio? If Yes please try to remove them and test it again.

  In addition, I would recommend to reinstall the drivers for the e-studio again. Delete the current version and restart the computer. Then install the latest version you can find on the page of Toshiba.

  I'm out of ideas... We used to be on Mac and everything worked fine. We changed our computer to a Windows 10 machine and printer no longer print. Here's my situation:

  We use an HP m127fw laser MFP. The drivers have been installed correctly. When you send a print job, the windows print job queue is displayed in the taskbar but is empty. I tried to uninstall the driver, the registry cleaning (deleted all folders/keys in connection with HP products) and all, can not solve my problem. When I launch HP doctor to find the problem, it says no, and print a test through it page!

  Please note that I also restore the printer to factory settings (network and printer)

  To resolve this problem, you must change the user rights access in your TEMP folder located in X:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\ and set it to allow all users. To do this, simply right-click on the Temp folder, go to the Security tab, select each name of groups or users (authenticated users, system administrators, users), click on edit and put them in Total control (sorry, I'm really not sure of the English term); Apply, restart and PRINT!

• 4630 HP does not print USB

  I have a HP4630, related to a Windows 8.1 via a USB 2.0 device. Whenever I try to print, I can see the document appear as if it is printing in the print queue. He then leaves the print queue, but nothing prints never really.

  I can run the tools from the printer and print a page diagnostic successfully. Tools can communicate with the printer and I see my ink level, etc.

  I ran the doctor and he says that he has no problem.

  I uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled. I have the HP support site and downloaded the latest driver/software (date 12/12/13). I uninstalled, rebooted, installed the latest driver/software and still see the same results.

  When this computer had Windows 8, it works with a HP Envy perfectly. Once the upgrade to 8.1, we had this same problem with envy. I had a HP1510 and had the same problem so I returned it. Now I have the HP4630 and the same problem.

  Is there a driver problem? Or, better yet, a driver solution?

  I don't know if that winds up helping or not, because I received an email from HP Support with a different suggestion that worked. So, all of you who have this problem, try this: install the driver replacing the printer Deskjet 990c and use it. It worked for us. To get the detailed procedure (for a Windows 8.1 machine):

  1 hold your mouse arrow in the bottom right or at the top right, the screen to appear charms bar.  If you use a touch screen, you can swipe your finger from right to left.
  2. Select the charm of the research.
  3. in the search box, click settings.
  4. in the find what box, type devices.
  5. click on devices and printers.
  6.right - click on your printer.
  7. Select printer properties.
  8. click on the Advanced tab.
  9. click on new driver.
  10. click Next.
  11. Select HP in the first list.
  12. Select HP Deskjet 990c.
  13. click Next.
  14. click Finish.
  15. click on apply to save the changes.
  16. click OK to close the window.

  I see other people having this problem but I can't seem to get the printer going on the new USB port on a new computer laptop.

  I don't connect when you said that a few post back as your printer is connected using a parallel to USB cable. Now that I have a better understanding of this aspect, I can tell you that it may not work again. Unfortunately, the type of connection that uses the printer is very outdated and is no longer supported because of the potential problems that may result. I'm willing to bet that the issue of installation does not deal with the laptop itself, but the laptop cannot communicate with the printer without communication problems.
  
  My honest suggestion is to check out some of the more recent deskjets or small officejets and see what we have available to replace this unit. Much product HP printers are now improved print quality, ink longevity and increased functionality (wireless, scanning, etc.).
