Satellite L30 - not replay sound mic-in

Hi all

When I listen to a webcam video that I took to test the alls ok, there is no reread noise in the movie, I tried 2 new different webcams with the same result. When I test the microphone in his auditor windows, the green bar moves ok but then he tells me there is no microphone connected to the laptop... very strange when the green bar moves when I talk... I'm starting to think that it is the mic-in, that I went through all the settings in the box from m.

The sound is ok when I play music or anything else, which is why I think that it s something to do with the mic-in or adjustment of the microphone... I m confused :)

Any ideas what is wrong s.

Thank you

Hi nado-gr4,.

It's a little confusing, how you connect the webcam to your laptop? Via the port USB and you're using the internal mic of your webcam or you have connected an external?

I think that you must set the default device in the recording of the sound settings tab: Control Panel > sound > recording tab.

You should see the connected device and set it as the default device. If not right click on that window and select Show disabled devices and Show disconnected devices.

Check this box!

    Hello

Solution is simply ;) you must first install the Microsoft patches (patches) KB888111 and KB835221.

These two hotfixes must be installed before you try to install the audio driver!

    Here's my advice;
First, install * KB888111, KB835221 * and then restart the device and after this short intervention, install sound driver that was downloaded from the European driver Toshiba page.

    I hope this helps you.

  • Satellite L30-134 no sound through speakers using Win XP SP3

    Hello

    I have a Satellite L30-134.

I just replaced the card mother and re-installed XP Home SP3.

Everything is working great except the sound.
It works through the headphone jack, but not the internal speakers.

I tried new drivers from Realtek, Toshiba drivers, but still no joy.

    Can anyone help?

    See you soon

Have you replaced it one or it was done by the authorized service provider?
Is replaced mainboard new or used?

Sorry to ask this, but all this story is incredible. Speakers don t work but with a helmet, there is no problem. I put t have this model of laptop, but somewhere I saw similar thread and I believe in Realtek Sound settings (Control Panel) you can enable/disable headphone and speakers separately. Check under options Audio i/o.

    Maybe you'll find it.

  • Satellite L30-113 - no sound after the downgrade from Vista to XP

    Hello to everyone.
I recently bought a new laptop Toshiba Satellite L30-113
    with vista preintalled.

As many users around the vista of the world seemed very slow for me so I decided to go back to Windows XP Pro.
The problem is that I can't hear any sound in my laptop.
In fact I found some drivers for Realtek controller High definition audio
    but they have nothing did.

I give the floor to toshiba in Greece and they told me that this laptop is designed only for windows vista!
    Can this be true?
    Help, please

    Hello

In my eyes, you have misunderstood something. Of course, that the laptop can handle Windows XP and it should work correctly, but as you say the device was shipped with Vista and so the guys at Toshiba support don't provide any support for WinXP on this laptop.

As far as I know page driver Toshiba also provide drivers for win XP. Therefore, visit European driver of Toshiba page and choose the good laptop-> PSL33 Sat L30-113

You will find a driver 5.10.0.5273 version XP. This should work!

    Have a nice day ;)

  • My Satellite L30-101/XP sound comes from headphones but not pregnant

I have a black XP newly installed on my system and installed everything except the sound does not come from the speakers but when I use headphones sound works perfectly. I thought it was problem with XP, so I then installed Vista but still the same problem.

Then I went back to XP because I'm more comfortable with it.

    PLS HELP >

Hmm. Maybe there is something wrong with the speaker system?
I mean if you can hear the sound using headphones then your sound driver and sound card should work properly.

Did you also check the settings in Realtek HD audio Manager?
On the right, you can find the settings for the helmet. Please check what options is enabled or disabled.

  • Satellite L30: The sound does not work on XP Sp2

Hi, sorry but I cannot well English.

I have a problem. I do not have CD with drivers, but I download from the toshiba site.

Yesterday, I reinstal windows, then I install all the drivers and I have a problem with the audio drivers.
In Device Manager is all good, his system is activated, drivers of instalation, I have no problem. But sound does not work.

    You have any ideas?

    Hello

If the sound does not appear on your laptop, you must first check the volume control on the side of the laptop. Turn it up to the max level.
Then check the sound devices and audio in the control panel if any controller is disabled or turned to the lower floor.

Additional connect headphones and check if you can hear something.

By the way: have you installed the correct drivers? On the Toshiba page, you will find two different sets of portable Satellite L30

  • Satellite L30: audio sound does not work - WinXP SP2

    Hello

I just bought a new laptop (Satellite L30 PSL33E-02S01LBT). He had installed Windows Vista, but it was horribly slow.

I installed Windows XP SP2 on it's updates. I installed all the drivers from toshiba site I could find for my model.
Everything works fine except the sound. I tried to install the drivers found on the toshiba Web site, but it fails with this error:
'No pilot only is supported in the suite of drivers' (AKA FRENCH: 'no driver no is supported in this suite of drivers').

In my list of equipment I have this with a "?":
(?) Audio device on High Definition Bus Audio

I tried to install the Realtek drivers with 5.10.0.5273 version.
    Found the driver here: http://www.mbnet.fi/ajuriapaja/info.asp?AID=10015&TID=10431&OS=10
This driver has been installed successfully, but the sound still doesn't work.

So, I removed this driver and found my "Audio on Bus High Definition Audio device"...

What could I do? Is this computer model toshiba laptop has problems with XP and the sound?

    Thanks for the help...

  • Satellite L30: Watch DVD problem - slowly and the sound is distorted

    Hello!
I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite L30-115. I use WinDVD preinstalled to watch DVD. everything was fine until yesterday. Since then, my DVD drive seems to have problems with playback of DVD movies (original).

It's a little slower that should be, and the sound is a bit distorted. The same DVD my laptop no problems to play now, it seems impossible to play properly.

I tried system recovery to date, everything was good, but that did not help.

Everything's fine, when I play movies from my hard drive, but apparently my DVD Player cannot play fair.
I tried various combinations (turn on/off digital playback in Device Manager), but nothing seems to work.

    No idea how to fix?

First of all, give it a try with cleaning the lens of your DVD player. Several times a lens dirty or CD/DVD that makes impossible to correct read causing delays.
Because the movies read from the HARD disk correctly, it does not seem to be a related problem of codec, but... you should still try to use other DVD player software to ensure that WinDVD is not the source.

I suggest you also to keep longer, to install software of reduction of CD speed during normal use of all the days of the life of your drive. As you know, the disc spins a lot faster than actually required inside the car which complicates the procedure for reading (especially on the scratched CD) and consumes more energy, too.

Reduce speed solves problems like the one you have several times. Here is a link to the Version of acoustic silencer of TOSHIBA 1.00.008 (from page of the pilot satellite L30), give it a try:

    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/satellite/sl30psl33/XP/acoustic-silencer/acsil-PSL33-XP-100008-en.zip
(This software runs independent you have European/American version of laptop L30, even on a different model as Satellite Pro 6100 a.s.o..)

    Kind regards

  • Without sound - Satellite L30 caps lock

Why can't my 'caps lock' to make ANY noise! I clicked "Toggle Keys" and nothing happens. No matter if the box is checked or not checked. It is a frustrating situation. I have a NEW laptop L30 series with MS Vista home edition.

    Grateful for any help.

    Hello

A sound should appear in the course of using the caps lock shift key?
It doesn't for me and I didn t notice something like that on any series of laptop!

My second book is a Satellite L30 with Vista and something as it does not appear on this laptop.

But to tell the truth I put t know why this is so important!
In my opinion it doesn't matter whether the caps lock sound will appear or not.

  • After downgrading from Vista Satellite L30-101 does not read DVD

    Hey,.

Like many people, I didn't like Vista and so returned to the use of Windows XP.

In doing so, I lost a lot of things like the ability to watch DVDs and sound, most of these problems fixed so easily by downloading the drivers from this site.

However, even after the DVD driver download I can't read DVDs yet.
When you try to play through Windows media player I get say error message that I did not have a MPEG-2 decoder, in the section web site help, it suggests where to get one, but you have to play for each other.
After having one in the first place, I don't think I should buy a new one.

If anyone has a solution it would be greatly appretiated if they could let me know.

    Thank you

    PS I have a Satellite L30-101

I think you have a codec problem, but I'm not sure. Maybe you should install the latest version of Media Player and codec Xvid, DivX and AC3. These are free (google it!). Or you can try alternative software, such as WinDVD or PowerDVD, you can try the demo versions.

  • Vibrating and sound crackles on Satellite L30 PSL33E

Help, please. I have the laptop above, and the sound is driving me crazy, whenever I try to play music distortion, vibrating and cracking which makes it completely ruins the pleasure to try to listen to music, it seems worse, when the hard drive light flashes quickly.

The noise problem is not only limited to play music, the sounds of windows system is just as bad.

Also is it supposed to be this intermitant "whoosing" sound like waves on a shoreline of sea from the region of cooling fan?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I m an owner of the Satellite L30 with Vista. It s my second notebook.
I can listen to my mp3 without any problems! Everything works beautifully.
The laptop is a little slower with Vista, but it's ok.

One question; Have you noticed the same audio issues if you are playing an audio CD?
It would be very interesting to know if the sound is bad if you listen to mp3 files stored on the HARD drive.

Did you check the sound options? In the control panel in Vista, you should find the Realtek HD audio manager.
It s also installed on my laptop.
Here, you can set the different sound effects, speaker setup and the default format.

    I would recommend this review!

  • Satellite L30 - Wifi card not in Device Manager

I recently had to reinstall windows vista (32 bit) on this Satellite L30, all other disks installed correctly, apart from the internal wifi driver, I tried loads of different on the toshiba site, and none of them invite the wifi card to operate. \like as I say, the card does not appear in Device Manager or when I run everest, but assured me that this particular model has built in wifi and Yes, I have the switch on the front running.

    any ideas?

Did you buy this laptop as used a brand new?
Wireless network card is built in or not?
Remove the bottom WIFI coverage and check if the wireless card is inside.

If the wireless card is inside and you can not install the situation should be clear. What do you think about this?
