Satellite L350-171 - network printer installation

I have problems to install my Canon Pixma IP4300 printer as a network printer. The printer is connected to a desktop PC, then a router, Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2. This is connected to the laptop by a cable that was previously connected to my old laptop.

How to install the network printer on the Toshiba. I went into Control Panel, then printers. I found the printer installation option and select the network printer. It then asks me to find the printer or print in manually. I tried to install it from the disc of Canon, but things stuck in the process. Should I have the disc atall? How to find what to call the printer?

Any help much appreciated.

Dear Trenny

This question is posted on the right forum? Please do not be angry on me, but that has to do with network printers Toshiba.
You have problems with your laptop satellite?
All ports operate properly?
Operating system works well?

For the configuration of the network printer, you can find enough pages here.

    Hello world

I have a Satellite L350-171 and got a W7 DVD update "awhile." I get only round to install now and the first thing I see in the instructions, it's that I should have a upgrade DVD Toshiba, which I did :-(

Anyone know where I can get one, or if I need any? If not then can I just upgrade and hope that all drivers updated automatically? Sounds a bit risky

I hope this is the right place to ask.
If it isn't then point me in the right direction and I'll ask here rather :-)

Thanks in advance for any help

A few years ago, Toshiba offered this upgrade program.
It's over and you can't upgrade drive more.

What you can do is be upgraded using the original disc of Microsoft, but I think you should do clean install Win7. Your model of laptop is supported for Win7 and all necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba support page http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

Before starting with the upgrade Win7 create original Vista recovery DVDs.
If you need assistance with installing Win7 or if you have other questions, you are welcome.

  • Satellite L350-171 not available in the United Kingdom

    Hello again!

Does anyone know why the stock of L350-171 is all this?
I'm trying to get a replacement from Tesco for mine failed, but Tesco do not know when they will receive the stock.

Also tried to look away, online sales in the United Kingdom and they all show the laptop as out of stock. I hope that this is not an abandoned product! I tried to call customer service to ask Toshiba but abandoned after 15 minutes on hold: (.)

  • Satellite L350-171 dead after 2 weeks

    Hi all

I bought a Satellite L350-171 2 weeks of Tesco Direct. Went to the Toshiba brand because of rumors of reliability. A few days before, the computer could not turn on. Tried unplugging the charger/etc, but no joy. Called Support technique of Toshiba who said it looks like a hardware failure. No lights on the front - normally a yellow light indicates when the charger is connected. The charger is off 19V so I'm sure that's not the issue.

The last thing that happened was a Windows update that requires a restart, but there is no way a software problem will result in the hardware failure.

Toshiba suggested I ask Tesco for a replacement as it is less than 28 days old (which I did!). My questions are:

    (1) what type of hardware failure can cause the cell go dead without showing any sign of death?
    (2) the Satellite L350 series there the problems known - this happen with my replacement?
    (3) I am wrong to believe in the reliability of Toshiba?
    (4) anyone suggest some things I can try to bring back to life?

    Thank you

I'm sorry to hear you have such a problem with your laptop. my brother has had similar problem and ASP has set in only 5 days. Now he's happy again with its A300 Satellite again.

    (1) what's happening with your laptop? It is not easy to say what was wrong there and we can only speculate on this but I think that the ESF may be responsible for this. Faulty electronic board I assume.
    (2) this can happen with all computer laptop and we cannot say that this can happen on Satellite L350 only. If you want you can check out this forum and see what write other people on L350.
    (3) this problem can happen with 1,000 other products too. If you buy a Ferrari and gearbox is defective after only 100 km would you buy Ferrari again? I think you're going to do this. ;)
    (4) according to me, there is nothing you can do. Try to get the replacement.

    Good luck!

  • My Satellite L350-171 gets very hot

My Satellite L350-171 gets very hot and then stops spontaneously. When I pass it back on I can get the message that he has not closed properly and I want to boot into SafeMode etc.

Does anyone else have this problem / solution?

    Solution?
This isn't the latest model cell phone, so I assume it's pretty full of dust that blocked cooling grill and the cooling fan. In my opinion, you should clean it up to cooling system of free brand of SCT. After this laptop will be able to take a new breath and material can be cooled correctly.

How to do this? On the internet you can find many pages and short films how to do this using compressed air. Google around a bit.

Second option is professional cleaning. In this laptop case will be disassembled and cleaned cooling system. Of course, it is the best solution but must be done by authorized personnel only. Contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask how much it costs. It is perhaps not so expensive.

  • Network printer installs and shows also ready to print but does not print.

I tried these last days get my network printer after getting a new laptop from work. I have the printer connected to my desktop running vista 32 home, my laptop running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit. I can detect the printer when you add a network printer, very well, I installed without error, the printer indicates as being ready to print.

When I try to print a test page, I get an error saying that the test page does not print, and returns me to the resolution of the problems... that found no problems. I'm able to share files between two thin computers and the printer works fine from the office and by other computers on the network.

I tried to uninstall the printer and reinstalled, I've updated the drivers of HP, restart both computers. I have read other forums that suggest you add as a local printer, however, I put the name of exact port showed when detected as a network printer, and it does not find anything.

I am really struggling to find a solution and I really need to be able to print from my laptop, so any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

As you say that you are not able to print the Test Page, it seems that the printer is not connecting to laptop with Windows 7. You may need to reinstall the printer and try to add ports manually during the installation.

  • Windows 7 - network printer installation fails - lack of hpzpplhn.dll

Using psc 1610 all-in-in-one as a network printer on a small home network wired workstations XP and Vista.  Worked fine until I replaced the Office XP with a Windows 7 one.  First I installed directly connected to the Win 7 desktop computer, using the original CD - worked well.  Move the cable to the router, but the network printer could not be identified.  So added the printer giving the IP address of the port, but could not print with it.

The latest version of the AIO_CDB_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe software, but still could not print.  Have another printer Photosmart C4480, decide to pass.  Had excatly the same experience.

Has begun to hunt the messages of error, and in the case where the Viewer, I found the message that the network printer could be brought after due to a missing driver - hpzpplhn.dll.

Where can I find the hpzpplhn.dll?  Help please!

Wow, impressive set of tests!  Well done!  I think you have proved that it is not your computer or your software with this test.

Non standard routers can often have standard and odd firmware means of handling something other than a Windows PC, Internet connection.  In my view, that a new router you would solve problems.

Looking for a router "Wi - Fi Certified".  I like Linksys because, well, they are inexpensive and they seem to work reliably for years.  The WRT120n or WRT160n are easy to find on sale.  Amazon is a good start.

  • Install HP Photosmart B210 fails (network) - "Printer Installation Failed" error messages

Hi - I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE on a home network with a wireless HP Photosmart B210 printer/scanner.  This configuration has worked for > 1.5 years, then about 2 weeks ago, I could not print from any application.  Win7 would post "cannot communicate with the printer.  Here's what I did:

    (1) uninstalled - reinstalled driver SW repeatedly - however, Win7 messages "Failed installation of the printer" at the end of the installation.

    (2) the HP print and scan doctor finds the printer wireless-, but can find no defects or problems. All green checkmarks

    (3) I copied/pasted the address of Web page in IE - in the Home tab's built-in Web server it States "system error - network connection error.

    (4) scanning works fine wirelessly and if I connect the printer via a USB cable - I can print.

    (5) I have a Lenovo and Ipad desktop computer on my network that impressions wireless - so, seems, the issue is with the Elite HPE only and not the router.

    (6) if I'm in Excel and select search for printer - I get the error "domain services active directory are currently unavailable.

    (7) I checked the printer spooler and it is started and set to automatic.

I want to keep the ability to print wireless, however, if I can't solve this problem, I have to constantly connect via a USB port.  Any suggestions on what is wrong?  Thank you, Rob

    Hi Erico,

Thanks for the reply.  I ran the "sfc/scannow" command from the line CMD (run as administrator) - completed without finding any breach of integrity.  I reinstalled SW from HP (PSB210_Basic_x64_231.exe) and installed without problem.  I was able to print a test page and a spreadsheet excel via the wireless network.

It seems that this problem is solved.  Thank you for your help.

    Kind regards

    Bob has.

You can use a common HARD SATA 2.5 disk. This type of HARD drive should work in L350.
It seems that you didn't create a disc of recovery in the past. Right?

Well, in this case, you will need to order a recovery disc reinstall system which has been pre-installed by Toshiba.
This disc can be ordered here:

  • Impossible mode AHCI for Satellite L350-171

    Hello

Recently, I installed XP on my laptop which had VIsta on it previously. The installation was successful, and I managed to install all the drivers. The only problem I have now is not being able to activate the AHCI in the BIOS without having to restart the laptop. I installed the ICH9 SATA drivers and I can see them on the hardware device page. I was wondering if anyone else has had these problems, I don't know if this has affected my laptop because sometimes I get the blue screen of death.

    Hello Kevin

As far as I know after the installation of Windows XP Home edition, you cannot change this mode.
So before you start the installation of Windows XP Home edition, you must set the mode in the advanced settings of the BIOS.

I ve been tested once and I've install WXP in compatibility mode. Later, I changed it but every time when I started the OS I got BSOD.

Have you tried to start again and to use one of the options in the Advanced Start menu?
Restart the computer, press F8 and the new start menu should appear.
Here, you can use option called Mode without failure.

If the laptop does not start using this mode, try another called; Last know configuration (Advanced).

Last but not least, you can try to restore the system by choosing the first option called fix my computer-> Toshiba HDD recovery.
Now the laptop should start the collection procedure and needs to be reinstalled the operating system

But in the marketing, I don't see the two operating systems. I don't see Windows xp.

    Hi josedunet_1,

Normally the start menu where you can change between the two BONES will be created if you install XP first and than Windows 7.

Now in your case, you need to change the boot sector. Therefore, you can use a tool with GUI like EasyBCD. You can manage it in just a few clicks.
