  • Satellite L40 - does not start and the screen is completely blank

    Hey guys,.

A good friend of mine has a laptop Toshiba Satellite L40, who died recently, and she has not been able to find the warranty documents yet, so I wanted to ask if maybe you could help.

Basically, what's happened is that one day she was using the computer and not have noticed that it was not plugged in to charge, and before completely lost all power, the computer went into automatic hibernation mode.
It plugged into the charger, the lights indicated that he was in charge. A few hours later she was trying to turn on, but nothing. the computer itself gives off a sound very low, as if turned on, but the screen is completely blank. She said that it's almost like she couldn't make the thing out of hibernation mode. He continues to give sound and some indicators remain lit until the battery is running out of charge.
She has Windows XP is installed on the computer.

Perhaps someone could help as to what is happening here? 1 million thanks!

    Hello

Weird, but have you tried to remove the adaptor AC/DC and battery? Wait one hour and then reconnect the adapter AC/DC and battery. Maybe the laptop restarts.

If this isn't the case, I think that you need assistance from an authorized service provider. It seems to be a hardware problem and the laptop should be checked by a technician from Notepad to determine the cause of this problem.
On the Toshiba site, you can search the nearest ASP:

  • Wireless all-in-one USB and wireless?

Hey guys, I am looking for a Photosmart 6520, but something I read makes me rethink her... I need the next upward set:

1 Desktop - connected computer with USB

    1 laptop - connected wireless

    1 iPad - connected wireless

    2 iPhone - connected wireless

Now that I read if you have a computer hooked up with a USB connection, then the wireless features do not work, is it true? I don't want to connect to my office on my wireless network, I want to stream USB but I need other devices to operate on the wireless network without having to pick up things and re - install the drivers every time. Thank you

    Hello...

I'm sorry that nobody has answered your inquery about connectivity on the HP Photosmart 6520 options.

Yes, you can connect to the printer via * two * USB and wireless at the same time.  The situation you describe will work perfectly with your desktop computer connected via USB and other wireless devices (laptop, Tablet, phone, etc.) send print jobs via 802.11n / g.

Please let me know if you have any other questions...

  • HP PhotoSmart 6525 Switching Back-and-Forth between USB and wireless

    Hello

I set up my HP PhotoSmart 6525 following installation 'wireless with a router' instructions (i.e. No Direct wireless).  I am able to print from my laptop through the wireless network.  I would also like to be able to print from my laptop using the USB connection at the time where my laptop is physically sitting next to the printer.  At times where it is not the case, I want to continue to be able to print wireless.

Is it possible to install the printer drivers on the laptop so that I can switch easily back and forth between printing USB and wireless printing?  I suspect that it is not possible because of the user's guide has a section describing how do to "Change a USB connection to a wireless network" you click on an item of menu called "convert a connected USB printer wireless.  There are no instructions to know how to convert USB.  In addition, the use of the word "convert" makes no sound as you can maintain the two methods to print simultaneously on a single computer.

Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how?

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul2

    Hey Paul2,.

I see that you have the HP Photosmart 6525 installed for a wireless printing capability and would also like to add a USB driver so that it is available for use by the printer.  Please follow the steps below to add a copy of the printer for USB printing.  The steps below are for Windows 7 and below computers.  If you have Windows 8, then the steps will be slightly different then let me know.  Please let me know if you have a Mac, because I can provide these steps at this point here.

    • Press the start menu of the computer
    • Select all programs
    • Open the HP folder
    • Open the folder for the Photosmart HP 6520 series
    • Select "printer setup and software."
    • Select the option to add a new printer
    • Select the USB option
    • Connect the USB cable when the software asks and proceed through the installation process

You let driver Jack without wire in place and add a second printer in the devices window and print USB printers.  The USB printer may contain 1 copy in the name as a differentiation, but it must also indicate network in the name of the printer to indicate that it is the wireless option.

    I hope this helps.

  • USB AND wireless?

Is it possible to use the USB connection or with a Deskjet F4580 wireless?

I have a working PC connected to a connection high speed secure via modem and a host on another connection network broadband with a Wireless Modem/Router. I want to use the USB to connect to the PC work and wireless connection to the network home for the family to share. I can not connect work PC to a home network for security reasons.

Is this possible? If so, how?

    Thank you, Andy

It is possible. And there is no special measures to do this. Simply follow the Quick Start Guide here you received with the printer to install from USB and wireless connections. Just make sure that you do not print or scan to\from the printer from EVEN of multiple PC TIME! That will cause problems.

    Hello

You should try to remove the devices that they are marked with a yellow exclamation point. Start Notepad, and then install the latest drivers from the Toshiba site.

If the virus has destroyed an important system files that it s is no longer possible to install a driver and you need to reinstall Windows using the Toshiba recovery disc.

Did you create the Toshiba Recovery disk? You can do this with the Toshiba recovery disc creator, which is preinstalled on your laptop. Maybe you are able to do this at the moment.
In addition, you reinstall Windows using the recovery of HARD drive option. So go to the advanced boot menu and select Repair my computer. Some Windows files will be loaded and then you can choose the Toshiba Recovery option and follow the instructions on the screen.

If you can t create the recovery disk, you must order a new Toshiba directly:

  • USB and wireless together?

Just bought printer Photosmart D110.  It is probably a very simple question, but can it work USB on a computer and wireless on another at the same time?  A computer is a desktop computer with no wireless capability, the other is a laptop that works almost exclusively with wireless.  Both computers allows the D110 without having to change the settings for the printer all the time?

Yes, but you don't have to.  Your router will give access from a wired device to a cell phone and v/v.  Try it!

  • m251nw usb and wireless at the same time?

I'm about to buy a m251nw laser color printer, but I want to make sure that it can print both a wireless connection and a USB on my desk at the same time.  I read the manual, but we didn't on this point.  In other words, I want to be able to print from the desktop via USB while for example my wife prints from the iPad at the same time.  Thank you.

    Hello

    Yes, there is no problem.

While that wired (ethernet) and wireless network connections do not work simultaneity, USB and Wi - Fi can operate and will not interfere with each other.

    Kind regards

  • Printing via USB and wireless error

Hi my printer is a HP deskjet 3050 a printer all-in-one.

He stopped to communicate with the computers in the House when we had questions related to internet. LLA modem has been reset.

I uninstalled it and reinstalled the printer drivers and I can send the documents to the correct printer from the desktop and the laptop, and then I get a print error message. When I click to see what's printing, the document is listed in the queue, but it shows a document with three circles on it rather than on a Word Document.

What happens on both computers and connected printing and wireless.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hey @soleruler,

If the printer only displays in the list programs and features on your Windows 8.1 systems indicates that generally your Deskjet 3050 has e-all-in-one printer was probably not installed correctly in the first place. You can certainly use the option "Remove hardware" under "Devices and printers" on these 3 computers to remove old copies of the printer. Just make sure that when you go to remove the unit there is no print jobs stuck in the queue. Print jobs stuck in the queue will cause the printer go into a status of "withdrawal" but the Deskjet printer will not erase until jobs are deleted. To check the queue just right click on the printer under devices and printers, and left click on 'see what's printing. If something is in the box, then just right-click on it and 'Cancel' jobs. Once cancelled, then you can proceed with the option "remove hardware".

Let me know how these steps go for you. Good luck!

  • Re: Satellite L40: strange sound USB

    Hi everyone :)
First of all sorry for my English...

    I recently purchased a L40 - 17U satellite with vista home premium.

Everything works fine, but I do not understand one thing...

When I close the Panel/lid and computer goes to sleep/hibernate play a sound (exactly its system - as when disconecting usb). When I open the lid and computer wakes up and plays a sound too, as connection usb... but it's strange, the sound is without ALL the usb devices connected... There is no USB device connected to one of the three usb ports...

All the works of devives (if logged in) usb very well before and after putting into hibernation, there is no problem with usb, next to that strange noise... There may be any internal device that is disconnected and connected when hibernate? It is not a RTL8187B wlan card (I found somewhere on the internet information, from a guy who has the same sound in his L40, he took off the wlan card and the noise was still there... but for this, no info on what causes this noise)

I have in my fujitsu siemens Li2727 Office book, and there is no noise like that when going to Hibernate...

    And my question is:
Is this normal? You have in your L40 the same? What is this mean sound?

    Thanks in advance
    Tom

    Eventually it s only a problem of Vista;

I found this article Ms knowledge base:

    * + A USB device may no longer work correctly when Windows Vista comes out of standby or hibernation + *.
