Satellite L450D-113 - fan failure

So yesterday, I posted a thread on my laptop turn off without warning, then I discovered that this was due to the temperature of my computer.

Today he turns away, but sometimes turns off when the summer running for awhile.

I noticed that the fan was not working, there is no noise or vibration near the fan, so I can only assume that it is who is arrested.

Nobody knows what happened to that? IM thinking maybe the motor burned out or something? and this could be the reason why my computer is overheating? but I have really no idea: p

Please help guys! :)

Thanks again

On this virtual path, it is not possible to provide an accurate diagnosis and to say with certainty why this happens.
Suddenly switched off is typical behavior when the portable equipment reach the critical temperature. In order to avoid the cell damage turns off automatically.

It is quite difficult to say why this is happening and you can get the right answer after a detailed study.
That's why I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

  • Satellite L450D-113 - new cooling solution

    Hello

I have a Satellite L450D-113 and I was wondering if someone could recommend a cooling solution. I am currently using a cooling pad, but it is no longer enough. I was wondering if there was a way to change the internal fan to something more powerful. This becomes a more common problem and any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Harry

    Hey,.

Why you want an another cooling solution? The internal cooling module and fan are sufficient and designed to cool the CPU and other components well. I don't see a reason for another module or external cooling of cooling module.

Probably dust blocks fan cooling for the moment if you noticed a higher temperature. So try to clean using a jet of compressed air to blow off the dust.

  • Satellite L450D-113 BBC iPlayer fall frame

I got my satellite L450D-113 since Christmas. Recently, I tried to play a video uploaded via the BBC iPlayer software.

When displaying in full-screen, the image jerks as if it will ignore frames. I also asked a lot of machine to play at full speed in full screen.

I am running Win7 32 bit with 3 GB of RAM. Screen set at 1366 x 768 32 bit resolution. I have trouble believing that this machine cannot manage the foregoing. Worse yet, try to play a HD video.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

To be honest I n don't know what you're talking about and that the BBC iPlayer is unclear to me. In my opinion, you should try another, like Windows Media Player or VLC media player.
Also, make sure that you use the "High Performance" power profile if you watch videos!

In addition, you can use a resolution higher internal screen, but only on an external monitor. The native screen resolution of an internal, you already use! ;)

  • Satellite L450d-113 does not turn on

    Hello

I wonder if someone can help me.

All turns on my Toshiba Satellite L450d-113.
I tried to take out the battery and hold the power button / stop for a while but nothing seem to work.

I have some very important things about this University and I really need help.
When I plug in the charger the power light blinks for a while then nothing.

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thank you...

First of all, of all the good news:
Your University stuff on the HARD drive does not seem to be affected because I think that HARD drive is not a malfunction. So you can remove the laptop HARD drive form and could connect to another computer using an external USB 2.5 HDD caddy.
In this case, you will have access to personal data.

Now back to the problem laptop.
It looks like a malfunction of the physical environment and I guess parts like motherboard, CPU modules or RAM can prevent the unit of power.

RAM modules can be replaced very easily, but I put t know if the RAM is really the troublemaker.
Maybe you can visit some of downtown specialist for laptop to check the modules.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L450D-113, which is aged 18 months abour. I had no problem with it at all, but today, he died suddenly without warning. It had full battery charge so I knew that it had nothing to do with the battery in it left.

I turned it back on and a screen saying a necessary to perform disk check, so I left it, and it starts automatically. The message on the screen was at this stage:

    Checking file system on C:
The type of the file system is NTFS.
One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency, you can cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended that you continue.
Windows will now check the disk.

    Hello

The laptop turns off automatically because the temperature is too high.
The portable computer's temperature sensor stops the laptop to prevent material damage.
I think you should clean the vents using a jet of compressed air.
This allows you to get better air circulation and decrease the temperature.

  • Is satellite L450D-113 - possible to upgrade processor?

    Hello

I recently bought the Satellite L450D-113 and I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the processor.
The vehicle currently has the AMD Sempron and its unique core, so how could I go all upgrade to dual core. Also how much is it going to cost and can I do it myself?

Can someone help me and tell what I need to do to upgrade, or where I can buy a dual core CPU compatible?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think this Toshiba FAQ might help you.
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

You'll find the info that the upgrade is not easy and maybe it s undesirable.
You can remove the CPU but there is no guarantee that the CPU will be compatible with the BIOS.

    Hey Buddy,

Unfortunately, these CPU updates is not supported. The single CPU that has been pretested and is supported is preinstalled. So there is no list of processors supported and to check this article:

By the way: If improve you it further, you lose the warranty and everything happens on your own risk.

  • Satellite L450D-113 - error during the installation of recovery (part 2 of 7)

    Hello

I bought a new laptop of toshiba 1 year ago and had no problems so far. My laptop started to slow down, becoming a reagent and the fan is constantly. then my laptop decided to crash and I have to restart. When he turned on it will not let me connect, I left for days now and I tried several times but without success. I asked several friends and it professionals to take a look, but none has the answer.

I took the advice of some of them and decided to try to restore my laptop with the provideddisk. It erases the hard drive very well, but when it get to the part where it starts to install the operating system it happens to part 2 of 7 and then comes back with the error cannot find file to copy. I don't know what file it is because it does not specify, but after I pressed the space bar as he said the screen turns off. I left like that for hours to see if something happens, but I finally turn off.

I think it could be the drive but I don't see how because it is new and has not been used before. Just in case it's the discs, I tried how to get another but could not find the option on the Toshiba site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Harry

    Hello

Theoretically, it could be a malfunction of the recovery disc you've already written but I don't know until now, I never had a problem with the recovery disk so that I can t m say many things about it.

In any case, try to clean the disc using a microfibre cloth and the lens of the CD/DVD drive. Maybe the disc can t be read due to dust a little then it s worth a try. ;)

If this isn't the case, you can test the Windows installation with a common Microsoft Windows disk. All the drivers and tools are placed on the Toshiba page and can be downloaded for free. Of course, that it takes a little more time and it of more complicated than recovery disk, but it s an option.

Finally and above all the recovery disk, which you can order here:

  • Re: Satellite L450D-113 - black screen, does not start

Laptop will not start. Power led lights up. Fan turns for a few seconds then stops, once again spins and stop.
    HARD disk rotates.

No presentation of the screen. Nothing appears on the AC voltage ordinary.when his shown as a green light.
    I checked...
    1. open bettery and put it again after 5 min. (result: nothing comes)
    2. open bettery and direct what AC does not rise no matter what?
    3. open the hard drive and put it again after 10 min (result: Noting happens to display) also change hard drive.

Please tell me wht to do now?

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here.
Did you do something that might be responsible for this? Something like the update of the BIOS?

If I understand you well portable stays all the TIME and everything is as usual, but there is nothing on the screen. Try to connect the external display on your machine and check if something will be displayed on the external screen.

Please test first and send feedback.

  • Satellite L450D-113 - black screen, does not start

Laptop will not start. Power led lights up. Fan turns for a few seconds then stops. HARD disk rotates. No display. No JOB.
Scratches it down. Nothing appears out of the ordinary.
Searched the web. This seems to be a common problem with Toshiba laptops.
Common fix is supposed to be the power button that is held for a minute or two with battery. This does not work in this case.
I would rather not throw the laptop in the bin...

Any ideas before doing the Act, would be greatly appreciated.

    Skips

Something like this can happen on any laptop so there is nothing directly with Toshiba or any other laptop manufacturer.
Sometimes this kind of behavior can occur after unsuccessfully BIOS updated. Have you can be made to update the BIOS or anything that may be responsible for this?

I can't say for sure, but somehow I think the BIOS is screwed.

    Hello

    > First of all, is it safe?

    recovery process is completely safe.

    > Second, he will restore C: and D:, or just C:?

He will restore the os with the settings on drive C;. Local d it will create image file from hard drive which I know.

    > Can I run 32-bit incompatible somehow on my 64-bit?

It depends on the application. I mean, do a right-click on the application and choose properties where you can Compatible mode.

    > Finally, it clears so Ubuntu?

If it is installed on local d: I guess that will erase. To be honest, is not sure

    Hello

    I guess that your TV support a resolution of 1280 x 720 (720 p) HD display pixels.
This means that you TV has a large 16:9 aspect ratio.

We must define the external display resolution in the settings of your graphics card, the same resolution or a resolution that would support the 16:9 as well.

The Full HD LCD supports 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution which is also 16:9
