Thankes to take care of all the friend

Hey,.

And what BIOS do you have installed exactly?
I mean, normally, you can install the wrong t version as far as I know this will be verified before update you the BIOS Setup.

The default settings in the BIOS load after update? I mean theoretically the BIOS version could be correct, but you have forgotten all about it.

    HEY! I need help

I'm a graphic designer and use Satellite L500-1GK. I found that the VGA is not good enough. The resolution is not really good enough for a designer

Manufacturer of the graphics card: Intel®
    type: Mobile Intel® GMA 4500 M
memory: available total graphics memory can be up to 1 340 MB with 3 GB of memory and 32-bit operating system system or 1 759 MB with a 64 - bit OS system memory and 4 GB
    memory type: shared

Is that what I can do to get the best resolution? Whatever he rib that I am able to change the VGA? is there a solution with that can you help me?

    Hello

Unfortunately it is not possible to change the graphics card. It s fixed/soldered on the motherboard and can't be exchanged. Sorry, but it is not possible to s.

But if you only need a better resolution of the screen, you can connect an external monitor. Here, you can work with a higher resolution if your monitor supports it.

How can I do this without the CD or the original HARD drive?

    > I have no CD installer again to install windows 7, how can I do this without the CD or the original hard drive?

Get Windows copy disk and installation, all the drivers are available on the [page driver Toshiba | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp] you can also buy a [recovery disk | https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx] I see no other options to do so.

  • Satellite L500 - 19 X: install Win7 - stuck on syswow64 loop won't work?

I tried to reinstall Windows 7 on Satellite L500-19 x, but he will not - do whenever I have start computer laptop a white screen pops up saying "preparation for installation... may take a few minutes" but it never goes away... can exit from this screen by starting the Task Manager and hit escape a few times.

When get as far as office things seem to be in order with the exception of the running Syswow64/sysprep/...access command prompt is denied on the continuous loop, there is also a window saying 'TUPIT 2' which seems to have failed because there isn't "requested registry access is not allowed" in front of it.

Would really appreciate if someone could tell me how to solve this problem, because it is extremely frustrating and seems to be so close yet so far to be successful!

    Hello

This message is very strange. Read on the internet about similar problems, but the questions were always related to registry problems.
In most cases, the error message appeared trying to repair the Windows operating system.

Have you tried to do a clean install?
I think you need to format the HDD first before you try to install Windows 7.
I hope that everything would be erased from the HARD disk before starting the installation of configuration

screenshot of hwsetup window is http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/135/biosversionscreenshot.png/

    Hey,.

I put t think that the problem is related to your installation of Windows 7

In your case, I'll try to reinstall HWsetup and added value package. These two tools can be downloaded from the official website of Toshiba:

  • Satellite L500-13W - what order to install drivers on Windows 7 32 bit?

    Hello

I have Satellite L500-13W and install Windows 7 32 bit. I have download all the drivers.

What order of installation for my model?

    Hi jason_x,

I agree with Akuma. Two weeks ago I also installed Windows 7 on a disk of Microsoft and after installing Windows 7, I started with installing the chipset driver. Then I installed the Intel Storage Manager, then display driver. After that, I installed the rest of the necessary drivers.

I didn't use a special installation order. After installation, all devices have been properly recognized in device without yellow exclamation points Manager.

  • Satellite L500 with XP - where to find the display driver

    I have a new Satellite L500.
I installed XP and I can not find the display drivers.
The display is an ati mobility radeon hd 4500.

I found only the drivers for vista.
If a person has found that xp drivers?

    Hello

You are right. The European driver Toshiba page does not provide a Win XP drivers for this laptop yet.

But I think that you should not worry much laptops are equipped with the same GPU chip.
I recommend checking the previous series of Toshiba laptops and trying to install this driver.

In the worst case you will have to google a bit for a Win XP ATI mobility Radeon HD 4500 driver.

If you find such driver then you could install it in Device Manager by using the Advanced installation procedure. This will help you to point to the driver files that you have downloaded and stored on the HARD drive. This facility works almost every time

    > I've been using Toshiba, but they say that this laptop does not support Linux, is - it true?

Well, saying Toshiba does not support Linux its meaning only there is no Linux drivers or tools on the page of the Toshiba driver.

You can install Linux, but the point is that you have to use it without any special Toshiba Linux driver

I recently installed Windows 7 64 bit on my mother's laptop (L500 - PSLJ0A-01E013) and download version of flash since the support site cards ([here | http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/l500/pslj0a-01e013/download?os=25])

Translated by (from what I can tell) only kenotify.exe and install information being created. With the help of a results in the original being uninstalled, then the same thing happens. When kenotify runs, noting happens if I use FN - F6 (brightness down) or FN + F7 (shining upward) or one of the others.

Also, Toshiba support station does not appear to be "updates" for the software and it doesn t even want me to download the update of the BIOS which I did not.

    Thank you!

Your ad is a bit confusing to me.
You have a problem with installing the driver SD card, keynotify.exe or FN keys functionality?

Have you installed a clean version of the OS?

  • Re: Satellite L500-202 - Bios error! in front of HARD drive

    I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L500-202.
I tried to reinstall Win 7 on it, but I can't install it and display an error message from the Bios.

In the configuration of installation a menu! in front of the HARD drive.
    What is the problem?

    Best regards

    Hello

Please try to configure the default BIOS by using the F9 key in the BIOS.
To access the BIOS F2 press immediately after the laptop is turned on.
Then press f9 and save changes

I recommend that you test the HARD drive as well... use a tool called 'Test of fitness Drive' for this...

  • After update BIOS USB Ports not recognized on Satellite L500

    Hello!

After a BIOS update to 2.1, two of my three USB Ports no longer work. Is it possible to downgrade to the previous BIOS? Or what else could cause this problem?

    The system is a Satellite L500 - 153 (PSJ3E)

    Go to Device Manager.
Remove all USB hubs and USB controllers in the list of devices.
Restart the computer and wait for Win has recognized and installed again all USB devices.
    Then test the USB feature.

  • Update firmware BIOS Satellite L500-1

    Hello

I am looking for an update of firmware Bios Satellite L500-1 CPU Intel T7300 SLA45 support.
The previous CPU was Intel® Celeron® Processor 900 SLGLQ
The latest version of the Bios is
    http://Support1.toshiba-tro.de/Tedd-file...135948.zip

The system turns on, but there is a prompt F1, after that the system starts normally.
    Thanks in advance

These updates are not available on the public download page so that you can try is to contact Toshiba nearest service and ask for help.
I m quite pessimistic in this regard because Toshiba doesn't support the exchange of CPU or upgrade. I guess you know who. Do you have?

  • Update BIOS bricked Satellite L500 - 19 X

    Hello

I was reorganize laptop for my nephew (Satellite L500-19 X PSLS0E-00F01DEN part number), store files etc, exceptional application updates etc and foolishly accepted utility offers the Toshiba to upgrade the BIOS that froze completely part thru (in step 11 of 37 IIRC).

I now nothing more than a black screen.

I have a few it skills, I have looked around and would go down to the WINCRIS. Road EXE create a bootable USB key to recover in this way.

However, the last BIOS for this laptop seems to be a .exe file, not a zip file where I could extract the boot rom.

Guess who I still have the ability to take the reader from the laptop to try to recover the bios backup file update utility says it recorded on another machine you use to try to decrease that way, but I'd be grateful any advice - or even a bootable image - anyone could offer.

Guess I'm hoping for too many feel Toshiba could provide such an image...

    Thank you

    > However, the last BIOS for this laptop seems to be a .exe file, not a zip file where I could extract the boot rom.

The exe file isn t real exe file but it s a package.
You can extract this exe by right-clicking and choosing extract here

I use WinRAR to extract the package. Also, WinZip or 7Zip should work.

But to be honest I m not very good if you want to be able to solve this problem.
To my knowledge a crisis of the BIOS disk would need to reflash the EPROM module and generally, this can be done by maintainer authorized Toshiba

    However, please keep us updated.

  • Satellite L500 - cannot install the Intel video driver

    Ok
complete failure of the hard drive, no recovery cd was created, reloaded windows 7, looked up and downloaded the drivers from Toshiba, BUT there are only two video drivers listed, amd and Intel, both marked "for model only supported" its an Intel machine so I tried the Intel driver but it doesn't install, it just closes which I believe if the corresponding material is not found is the default action for these drivers.

But I'm stuck with 'standard VGA graphics adapt' all other drivers loaded perfectly, (I installed the driver from chipset Intel first and rebooted, so it should be ok but it s not)

    Any ideas?
