Satellite L655 - recover Toshiba Recovery option

Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite L655 with Windows Home Premium 64-bit. I recently had problems with my operating system. Unfortunately, I didn't know about HARD drive recovery option, so I just reinstalled an OS with Windows 7 installation CD (I have a).

Now I know about HARD drive recovery and I would get my system to it's State of origin "Toshiba", but there is nothing "Toshiba HDD recovery" more in the recovery menu (F8 at startup)

I still have the folder HDDRecovery on my drive D:\ with od 7.5 GB data. But how can I get it back? What should I install to have the "Toshiba Recovery" point back again in the recovery environment?

Thank you
Ivan

Hey Buddy,

The Toshiba HDD Recovery feature is available on the preinstalled operating system. If you have installed another version he s not available anymore.

So in your case, you have the Toshiba Recovery disk to restore to factory settings. Did you create the Toshiba Recovery disk before installing Windows 7?
Usually this can be done with the box settings because the Toshiba recovery media creator is preinstalled. This means that you need some blank discs to create the recovery disk.

If you don t have the recovery disc, you can order a new by clicking here:

So corrupt where can I get the recovery of the Asia-Pacific region online backup?

I found the link on the forum to buy the recovery disk, but it is for euorope I want to find it in the Asia-Pacific region?

    Hello

If you are not able to recover the laptop using the recovery of HARD drive, then you will need to retrieve the laptop using the recovery disk.
It seems that you didn't create the disc in the just past? Well, it was not a good idea

However, the Satellite C650 is European notebook series. Right?
In this case, you will need the drive recovery for the series of Europeans, and this can be ordered here:

When I turn on the laptop I get message "boot mgr is missing." I tried the disc of recovery a couple of times since and things don't get any better. In fact I just get a black screen with cursor after

Suggestions this is appreciated please? I was thinking of buying the recovery disks would be a solution simple but should I give in and go to a professional now?

    Thanks, Paul

I assume you are using recovery discs that you created using Toshiba recovery disc creator tool, right?
It seems silly now, but something went wrong and I m afraid recovery disks are now useless. It turns out that you can't change anything or force the cell to the recovery image installs successfully.

The only thing you can try is - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD4103KB0000R01.htm
I don't think this will help, but you can test it in any case.

    Now, you have two options:
-for the restore disc original order from Toshiba
-install the clean version of the OS by using the Microsoft installation disc

  • Satellite A500 - HARD drive recovery option is no longer available at the F8 Menu

    Hello, this my phone trees.
I reset my Satellite A500 and due to a power failure reset did not finish. When I have inexplicable with F8 I can see HARD drive recovery option, and then must log on my account that I did not at all because of the power failure.
Then I installed a copy of Vista retail, hoping to create an account and be able to retrieve from the HARD drive.
PROBLEM! : Now I don't see the "Recovery disk" option at all.
QUESTION: There must be a way to integrate this option in the windows Startmenu (F8). Can someone help me with this issue? I burn the DVD recovery and the recovery partition is still there.
    Thanks in advance.

More big mistake made you ve, it's that you don't l l create recovery DVD such as recommended by Toshiba.

Why you didn t ask how it works before you do anything?
You've misunderstood with username and account.

Now, when you use your own installation, you need to remove the option for installation of HARD drive recovery and the recovery image can be installed with recovery only DVDs.
    Now, you have two options:
-to order the new recovery DVDs or
d ' use the clean install of the OS.

What do you think of this?
To be honest, I think you need to use Windows 7 on this laptop.

I recommend you to install Win7. Download page for all the necessary drivers, you can find and download from Toshiba

If you have more questions or need help please let me know.

  • Satellite A135: Difference between recovery options

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A135, OS: Vista Home.

I'm trying to reformat my laptop using the supplied with my laptop system recovery disk.
I gives me two options when I run the disc:

    (1) restoration of out-of-box factory State, and
    (2) wipe the hard drive.

What are the differences between these two options?
My goal is to make a total of cleaning on my HARD drive to get rid of malware.

It's a mobile US and so I not quite sure what the exact difference could be m but as I m not wrong the first recovery option set laptop back to the factory settings.
Another, the second option would be to format the HARD drive only

If you have tried both options thanks to post the results

My L505 (GS5035) came with win 7 home recovery in a will get 10 GB partition is invisible in windows / my computer this version of windows by fault/recovery work properly... and I got it 2 times with the F8 Toshiba Recovery Wizard
But I decided to set up win 7 ultimate CD... but I didn't like it
So I now want to implement recovery House original win 7 with all the software Toshiba using F8 is not useful, because after installing win 7 ultimate CD... F8 does not show the Toshiba Recovery Wizard in the list.

The recovery partition [10 GB] is not damaged or formatted or empty
(when I insert any what CD windows it shows me all the hard drive partitions/spaces and I see the State of the recovery partition = 10 GB with free only 600 MB of space)

But I can't open the recovery partition of my computer and F8 is not useful now... After installing the CD of win 7 ultimate... F8 does not show the Toshiba Recovery Wizard in the list.
What should I do to re install the original win 7 home / with toshiba software?

    > So I now want to implement recovery House original win 7 with all toshiba using F8 software is not

The point is that you have installed a clean Windows 7 on this laptop and the new OS has damaged or replaced the Toshiba Boot Manager where the recovery disc option have been mentioned.
Now, you can grab the laptop using HARD drive recovery. In this case, you must take the recovery disk you created if all goes well

If you didn t create disk recovery, then you will need to order for a small fee.

For example, Toshiba recovery disc option instead of HARD drive recovery.

By the way: why HDD recovery doesn't work? Do you have an error message or you have deleted files recovery?

Don t get me wrong, but without the exact description of the error, I doubt anyone can give you a detailed answer.

  • Satellite A660-10W: Toshiba Recovery Media Creator kept reminding me

Finally, after about 2 months, I ran the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.
He kept reminding me of do it whenever I opened the laptop.

Now, everything works fine, at a VERY slow pace.
What can be done to fix this?

    Thank you

    Hello

You want to disable this notification?

You can do it is msconfig. Start the msconfig go to Startup tab and disable the process that is responsible for the notification of Toshiba Media Creator. Save the changes and restart the device.

By the way; It would be advisable to clean the BONES and the registry using CCleaner. This tool is free and deletes all temporal files

  • Satellite L500D PSLK0A Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator does not work properly

    Hello

I am trying to create a recovery for my Toshiba Satellite L500D PSLK0A-00U009 disc.
When I run the Recovery Disc Creator he starts to open then it comes up with a box with an exclamation point, he says: 'cannot open target partition. Then the recovery disc creator will open. It seems normal, then when I insert a CD for the process seems to work then it says error and stop and ejects the CD, the error is that the code is: 0E01B5-26-510444 D 9

I already uninstalled and then program then reinstalled with the help of a download from the Web MyToshiba site and this has not fixed the problem.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

Have you tried different discs from different manufacturers?
How about you, USB flash memory usage? AFAIK, you can create a bootable Recovery USB flash stick too.

  • Satellite L755 - creator Toshiba Recovery disk cannot be used

I L755 series PSK2YE for 40 days, and I have a problem with the part recovery disk creator. According to me, it lacks something I simply don't have the TRDCLcher.exe in the menu. I uninstalled probably by mistake or so.

I still have the recovery disk on D: partition.

Is there a possible way to get this file back then I do drive recovery?

    Kind regards
    Alec

    Hello

This means that you can start t the creator of disc recovery or what happened exactly?

Recovery disc creator can t be reinstalled because it s only preinstalled on your laptop. I think that in this case, your only chance is to leave the drive recovery HARD option and reset Windows to the factory settings. With the box settings, you can use the recovery disk creator.

  • Satellite P10 804: Toshiba Power Options - how to disable Hibernation

    Model SP10 - 804

How to turn off the Hibernation feature?

The 'Enable Hibernation' box is checked and grayed out so I can't uncheck it!
I don't use this feature and would like to delete the hiberfil.sys file that is beyond 1 GB.

I understand that by disabling the hibernation, this file should remove. I read about it here:
    http://www.softwarepatch.com/tips/Hiberfil-sys-XP.html

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I presume that the Toshiba Power saver utility has been installed on your system.
In this case, the windows own power options are disabled and the TPS control the hibernation and the day before.

You can switch to the mode of power window in Control Panel-> power options control.
Here, you have to choose to another scheme of power as the Toshiba power saver.
Otherwise, you can remove the GST from the system!

However, in my opinion the hiberfil.sys has no bad influence on the system and it is really not necessary to delete that file.
On my system, the file size was never 1 GB.
