Satellite L750 - implementation of Recovery Wizard when first turned on

Hello world

I recently bought a L750 and when I first turned on it, came a window asking me to set up the re product Recovery Menu Toshiba Recovery Wizard. Now, this is all new to me, so I didn't really know what it was because there were no instructions, so I answered a few questions then I cancelled out of the task, in which case my answers were wrong. Can anyone help me re - establish, answer the questions correctly and also where to find a second time to implement?

The first 3 questions that I answered were:

1. Please select a type of operating system to continue - 64-bit version of Windows 7 32-bit version or Windows 7?

2. Please select a process: default factory software recovery (recovery of State out-of-box) OR wipe the hard drive (delete all data and the paartitions on your hard drive)?

3 Please select a method of factory default software recovery: recovery of State out-of-box (System Recovery Options are included) OR recover without changing the disk partitions hard OR on a custom size partition?
Then I canceled here.

Thank you very much

Hi Shell73,

> 1 . Please select a type of operating system to continue - 64-bit version of Windows 7 32-bit version or Windows 7?
I would choose the 64-bit version because only 64 bit version supports 4 GB or more. Even you have t n 4 GB I would choose this version because you can very easy upgrade of RAM and 4 GB of RAM is recommended for Windows 7.
If you don t have very old programs they need 16 bit you can use the 64-bit version.

For example, I use Windows 7 64 bit on my two laptops. I put the 32-bit version of t need more because most of the applications are already compatible 64-bit.

> 2. Please select a process: default factory software recovery (recovery of State out-of-box) OR wipe the hard drive (delete all data and the paartitions on your hard drive)?
You must select restore to out of the box to this facility and the installation of recovery. As its name suggests, erase the hard drive, it will remove the HARD drive whole and nothing more. So, in the end, you have a removed HDD without software Yes, a bit useless (in my opinion).

> 3. Please select a method of factory default software recovery: recovery of State out-of-box (System Recovery Options are included) OR recover without changing the disk partitions hard OR on a custom size partition?
Choose the recovery to out of box state too. This will restore normal factory with all the drivers and tools. After that, you are also able to use the HDD recovery partition size option and that can also be changed after the installation of recovery.

If you have any other questions, just after again! :)

    Hello

I know which is really annoying to you, but I recommend you do the following:

Back up all your data and recover your computer because you will spend just a few unnecessary time and nerves to find out what the real problem is.
After retrieving your machine, you should do your updates as usual and set whenever you install new software, a new restore point (as you already :)), then it would be easier for you to find the malicious software that causes this error.

Maybe you shouldn´t install the IE7, better grab a copy of Mozilla Firefox because they don t cause so many problems with the operating system and other software on your hard drive. (I read today on "plugged in" firefox has been download 400,000 times and I think that 400,000 downloads won´t lie..)  ;))

Would appreciate comments on your part.

    See you soon

    Hello

If the LED flashes then a serious hardware problem has been detected on the motherboard.
I think that the guarantee must be valid because L750 model isn't very old so don t time in bulk and get in touch with the Toshiba ASP in your country.
Guys should help you for free if the warranty is valid.

For me it doesn't look like a main part (motherboard) need a replacement.

  • Satellite L750 - where can I find the Recovery Wizard?

Hi everyone - when I turned on my laptop for the first time, it asked me to set up the Recovery Wizard, but because I did not really know what options to choose, I cancelled the task. I'm yet to find where, on my laptop the Recovery Wizard is, put in place new - can you pleae direct me where to look?

Thank you very much [and remember, novice here, so the instructions profane thanks :)]

    Shell

    Hey Buddy,

If you press the F8 key before Windows starts, you can start the recovery of HARD drive. Choose fix my computer. Some files Windows will be charged and on the next window called system recovery options choose the latest Toshiba HDD Recovery option and follow the instructions on the screen. If you need a further explanation with pictures, see the official document of Toshiba on this procedure:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD1303440001R01.htm

Last but not least, you need to create the recovery disk Toshiba with preinstalled recovery media creator. In which case it would go something wrong you can restore the every time settings factory original and you are on the safe side :)

  • Satellite L750-1LC - Boot Manager is missing by using the recovery disk

I bought a Toshiba satellite L750-1LC and I try to create the DVD 4 to save.

On the first dvd that only he came an error reading twice, the other DVDs were ok.
When I try to recover from the DVD the recovery process got stuck on the first dvd so I had to reboot and try again, but the same thing happened to it.

After you restart the system it came a message that bootmnager is missing and windows and any other thing was gone.

Is the promotion of "No. Matter What Guarantee" "covering this type of flaws?
If so, what are the steps to qualify for this promotion?

I said that I am a Romanian citizen and I have already implemented for promotion in the specified time interval.

It seems that the first recovery disk is not created properly because you got an error message.
As I understand your message, you have tried to boot from the first recovery disc (which was not correctly created in the past) and so the installation could not be completed successfully.

Now, you cannot start the operating system, because the Boot Manager is missing and possibly the system is deleted also
I see just one solution: order the new disk recovery from here and use it for the installation of the OS: http://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

PS: as far as I know that hardware issues are covered by the warranty, software issues not covered by the warranty

  • Re: Several questions about the recovery of the Satellite L750 features

I have several questions about the recovery of Satellite L750 features available to it. Any help and answers would be useful.

    (1) when I started the laptop first, he asked me to create a recovery CD incase I need to reinstall the operating system. But he also said that he built in the recovery partition, so therefore, I have to make a recovery cd or not?

    (2) will be the recovery CD is exactly the same as the recovery on the system partition?

    (3) is the partion of CD or recovery includes all the integrated software pre-installed with the laptop?

    (4) also in the device manage management it shows watch partion recovery but it is empty, is it true?

    (5) in the second partition (drive D) system, he has a record with what looks like the recovery of files and folders. Is it safe to move/remove it?

    Hello

    I'll try to provide answers:
1 - to ensure that everything works perfectly you don t need these discs, but if something goes wrong with the HARD drive you will not be able to do anything. When you have the recovery DVDs, you will still be able to install the recovery image and once again the factory settings. So my advice to you is: create these discs as soon as possible. Use only on DVD-R media and buy products of high quality (TDK or Verbatim).
    2 - Yes.
    3 - Yes.
4 - No. Don t be confused with this.
    5. in a first time create restore DVD, and later you can do what you want. I put t know which files mean you but don t touch anything before that of the recovery disks to be created.

In the past, many people have been experimenting with the structure of HARD drive and partitions and later was surprised when installing disk recovery HARD has been damaged. Don t make the same mistake.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  • Satellite L750 / 04P - creation of recovery - an error Gx8004005

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite L750 / 04P XC N 7944, for my son, we have tried to implement using the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator and the Windows 7 system recovery disks. So far, I've used 5 DVD s and can t go a disk without error.

When you use Windows 7, an error comes up Gx8004005. All of the suggestions.

I created an image backup and system, I hope I'm never confident until they save it properly.

    Hello

Have you tried using different empty discs from different manufacturers? I recommend you to use DVD-R only disks. My recommendation is TDK or Verbatim discs.

  • Satellite Z830 - 11 H, no options in the Recovery Wizard (seed F8 menu).

    Hello!

I am trying to restore my Satellite Z830 - 11 H parameters using the F8 menu before starting.

However, when I try to click on the Toshiba Recovery Wizard I get the window where I should be able to choose which process I want to (software factory or remove disk recovery) but instead, I have no choice.

It's just empty. Do you have anyone encountered this problem before?
If you have other strategies to restore factory settings, I will be happy!

    Hello

Did you change the HARD drive or do you remove some recovery files, the files from the HARD drive in the past?

Usually, you should be able to start the recovery disc HARD pressing F8, then choosing fix my computer-> Toshiba HDD recovery (last option)

In the case of the HARD disk isn't possible, the laptop recovery recover using recovery media (DVD or USB flash memory stick).
This support could be created using tool called Recovery Media Creator Toshiba

  • Satellite Pro L870-172 error 003 when retrieving the recovery DVDs

    Hi all

Having a devil of a time with this portable darn. So I bought the recovery dvd. tried to boot from the disk and comes with no OS bootable. Thinking it could be a problem with the optical drive, I created a bootable usb key.

Received the usb key to start

So I goto Toshiba Recovery Wizard
Press Yes to say it will wipe the drive.
    Retrieves the software factory default
In the end, I get an error message

    Error: 003
    Recovery error

Press ok to start the computer

You can see the final screen here.
    https://DL.dropboxusercontent.com/s/1fq5yk4t9hjhmk9/2014-09-05%20at%2012.38.PNG?DL=0

    Can anyone help plleeaaaseeee.

The only thing I can think is that maybe when I created the USB startup key should I copy then disk2 on the stick as well using xcopy.

I think there are several reasons for the error.
The recovery media or the hard drive is may be defective. Wrong settings of the BIOS, etc...

I recommend you to check once more the Toshiba Recovery bootable disc.
I don t think that there might be a problem with the optical disc drive.
From my point of view, it could be a bad BIOS setting.

The Satellite Pro L870-172 has been pre-installed with the system Win 8.
Please check start secure as well as the UEFI boot mode option in the BIOS.

Generally, in order to be able to boot from different devices to boot, secure boot must be disabled.

  • Drive HARD Win 7 recovery does not work on Satellite L750

    Hello

I have the Toshiba Satellite L750 with preinstaled win 7.

I instaled the upgrade to win 8 (from dvd).

After that I improve the MS site to Win 8.1 System.

The system does not work properly (DVD is not recognized) so I have to install previuos system.

First of all, I'm improving my BIOS for the new one - 3.60.

After that I try to win 7 reinstal my HDD recovery (which is located on the d partition). But it does not work: it has been impossible to start recovering in the menu of the bios (F8 key does not work, it was only possible to press F2 or F12).

So I have to install my dvd 8.0 Win and now I have it and it works. But this is only a clear system without any addons like nero, ms office etc.

My question is how do reinstal win 7 of my hard drive recovery that I always on the d partition?
in the bios the F8 key does not work.

After clean OS installation installation of HARD drive recovery not working anymore. If you want to have the original image of recovery preinstalled on your machine, you must use recovery DVDs.
I assume that you did not create this disc, right?

In the user s manuals document clearly described how it works with the image recovery and the creation of recovery disks.

  • The first Installation fails after first Boot of the Satellite L750

    Hello.

I turned on my brand-new Satellite L750 - 04K 010 for the first time tonight (bought new) and start going through the initial setup process for Windows 7 Home Premium. The installation must "Installing devices" and then hung up without activity for about 2 hours, how I decided to restart.

Then I kept getting the error windows installation has failed and would then need to restart the installation process. The computer will restart but kept coming up with the same error and the loop would continue even once.

I have not received the installation discs.

I tried to press F8 to see if the computer repair would work but only gave options to repair the system to a previous state. No Toshiba option was available.

    Help!

    Thanking you in advance,

    Greg

    It's pretty stupid situation now.
If there is no way to launch the installation of recovery once again I recommend your dealer and ask for help. With other words, ask for the replacement of the laptop.

What you can also do is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and explain the situation. I put t know what they can do for you, but I imagine that you will get a DVD of recovery for the installation of the OS.

Of course I n don't know what the right solution, but I don't see another option for you.
