• Satellite L755-1HW - colors look unnatural on screen

  I recently bought Toshiba Satellite L755 and I am generally happy with it. It is an improvement in my Toshiba Satellite L300.

  However, I have a problem with the way it displays colors. At first glance, everything looks ok, but some colors still don't look right.

  For example, gold on my old Toshiba looks like "gold"; on the new this is a kind of yellowish and usually yellow seems to dominate in certain ways and Red is often not really red. On the other hand, the old Toshiba seems to have a better image. better contrast and well saturated colors more natural without any problem as indicated above.

  The colors on the new look of display as they have been filtered and have some sort of tint of a color not identified. I compared a number of photos on two laptops and the difference is consistent.

  I did color calibration and when I get to the 'shades of gray' they seem to like everything else in this test and yet something is wrong. I would be grateful of any advice and I hope that this is not just a display of poor quality.

  I can't connect the laptop to a different view, but I can paste get if necessary.

  I guess you have reset default display color settings and you have reinstalled the display driver and you still can't have a good screen.

  I use this free of color calibration software and it works great, it is important to adjust your brightness to a reasonably light level before starting the software.

  Also do some profiles under different lighting conditions, I found if I've calibrated under the light of the day come nigh-time under artificial lights up my screen looked yellow, so I calibrated my monitor overnight and it looks great day and night now.

• Satellite L755-1HW: problem of Intermittent Wireless with Sky router LAN

  I recently bought a L755-1HW Satellite from a dealer is seller renovated, but a condition of work entirely, after factory reset.

  I have trouble picking up my sky router (home network). It will pick up my iPhone when used as mobile and is access point find also all other routers of sky in the region, although it will automatically connect to mine intermittently and sometimes, can't find any as a wireless network connection. The sky router can be picked up fine by my father's laptop computer and other phones in the House so I think that the problem lies in the laptop and not the router itself.

  I have recently downloaded a driver for a wireless connection with my printer Epson SX420W, who, at startup, says "cannot reconnect all wireless drivers" If the printer is off, but even when the printer is turned on, the sky router is missed.

  I searched on the web and already done the following:
  1) updated the Atheos wireless network driver to the latest version
  2) updated the BIOS OF THE system to the latest version
  (3) scanned the PC using PC Diagnostic tools and the network is coming as a pass.

  Does anyone have an idea what I can do to fix this issue?

  I mean that if the wireless network adapter is enabled correctly your laptop should detect your WLAN network. Is your WIFI detected and listed as available WLAN network?

  As you can read in 100 other threads, it of not possible to replace the graphics card because it s fixed/soldered to the motherboard. Therefore, an Exchange is not possible.

  TL; DR: When I start my m17x-r4 as the lights of the laptop turns on but the screen remains blank, that nothing seems to be loading and all that came after you disable the onboard graphics through Fn + F7.

  Five days ago, I got an Alienware m17x-r4 (with a Radeon 7970 m) with a 14.04 Ubuntu partition and a Windows 7 Ultimate partition, work without problem. After a nightmarish series of events that I still cannot understand, now I have the same laptop whose only feature is to turn on the lights on the keyboard and nothing else. I'll go through the quick details, since my only concern now is whether to send the computer directly to Dell or what. (you can skip the next paragraph)

  Five days ago, I installed a videogame in the Windows partition, when the computer freezes with an unbearable looping sound. After that Windows could not start or to repair itself, so I started to use Ubuntu all decide what to do. Out of nowhere, Ubuntu has decided to give me yet another mistake criticism, forcing me to reinstall the OS too. For the last five days, I have installed at least four times each of the operating systems for different reasons, while moving several GB of data, I got in each of them one bone to another and having to use tools for recovering data at a given time. Finally, I managed to stabilize the two OSs with all updates and all apparently correctly installed drivers. No there wasn't that one problem, Windows gave me poor performance on video games. In the previous installation of Windows, a program of AMD asked me programwise the performance I wanted, but in this new installation of this feature had disappeared, and each program has been run with less-than-optimal performance. This prompted me to tinker around with the integrated graphic configuration of my laptop.

  I tried different things, like uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and things like that, until I discovered that the Fn + F7 will disable the integrated graphics card. When I did this, the games would be much better, so I hope that this could be a temporary solution. The problem is that it was very unstable and the screen would freeze in 2-3 minutes to boot Windows. Sometimes the screen freezes as soon as Windows has been started. Fortunately, I had the time to press Fn + F7 again and return to the previous configuration, with the operation of the integrated card, both cards that appear in the devices, with their Manager drivers installed. But when I tried Fn + F7 again instabilities have increased to the point that Windows would not even start leaving me without option to restore the situation. I tried to reinstall Mode drivers safe and pressing Fn + F7, but Safe Mode does not allow for any of these features. I have uninstalled the graphics drivers and tried to restart Windows, but it was very unstable, almost unusable from the beginning. I managed to reinstall the Radeon drivers, but the screen is tore already very bad. Finally, when you turn on the laptop, the first splash screen would be the charge, but two large green vertical lines would tear across the screen and the computer could not get into the bootstrapper more. After two other shut downs and from ups, the screen simply would not stop reacting and this is the case I am, right now.   Huh it will not be easy to find the right answer.
  Maybe you should contact Toshiba service and ask for help. They have manuals for Maintenance and plan exact mainboard and they can help you with this.

  I'm looking for some advise here because all said Toshiba was making sure I had the latest bios update. But I would have thought it is not the processor overheating the fan must not be crank that quickly. My laptop is only 2 months old.

  The cooling fan is controlled by the fan table in the BIOS. Fan table contains information about the temperature and the fan speed that means the depands on some level temperature fan speed.
  Over all the possible game features as the CPU, GPU, produce heat and the heat dissipation is high
  Cooling modules would begin to turn faster if the temperature level would be exceeded
  This is nothing exceptional everything at stake

  I read on a similar question, and apparently, the graphics card DRIVER crashed during games
  Maybe it's a compatibility problem between game and pilot
  In most cases the graphics card driver update should fix this and I read on some forums that it has helped in many cases

When I Press esc, nothing happens. There are two single beeps, one about 30 seconds after you turn on the computer and another minute later, followed by the screen goes black with a underscore on it.

  VGcrazee, welcome to the forum.

  I think that your new video card is not compatible with the motherboard BIOS.  960 GTX requires UEFI in the motherboard rather than a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  I suggest that you check the BIOS version and contact Technical Support PNY for help.  They are the experts on their products.  It is very difficult to know which video cards more recent will work with older computers.
